***Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of GOD.***
[10] By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened.
[11] Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud:
[12] And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth.
[13] He causeth it to come, whether for correction, or for his land, or for mercy.
[14] Hearken unto this, O Job: stand still, and consider the wondrous works of God.
[15] Dost thou know when God disposed them, and caused the light of his cloud to shine?
[16] Dost thou know the balancings of the clouds, the wondrous works of him which is perfect in knowledge?
[23] Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict.
[24] Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
Words to ponder for today:
The Wondrous Works of GOD
The poetic speech of Elihu challenging Job to think of the wondrous works of GOD gives me chill in my spine as I remember how fearful I was, when great lightnings and loud thunderings are seen and heard during the darkness of the stormy weather; wherein, even if I am secluded in the warmness of the shelter, GOD has provided for me, I still felt that trembling discomfort.
What more fearsome is the hearing of the actual GOD's mighty voice in Exodus 20:18,19 which the Israelites could not attained to have heard and withdrawn themselves from hearing Him, by pleading Moses that he be the only one to speak with GOD?
Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary was written:
37:1-13 The changes of the weather are the subject of a great deal of our thoughts and common talk; but how seldom do we think and speak of these things, as Elihu, with a regard to God, the director of them! We must notice the glory of God, not only in the thunder and lightning, but in the more common and less awful changes of the weather; as the snow and rain. Nature directs all creatures to shelter themselves from a storm; and shall man only be unprovided with a refuge? Oh that men would listen to the voice of God, who in many ways warns them to flee from the wrath to come; and invites them to accept his salvation, and to be happy. The ill opinion which men entertain of the Divine direction, peculiarly appears in their murmurs about the weather, though the whole result of the year proves the folly of their complaints. Believers should avoid this; no days are bad as God makes them, though we make many bad by our sins.

I indeed ponder of the thought of the wondrous works of GOD, which most of the time are forsaken and was taken for granted by the wise- in- heart mankind. The faithfulness of GOD by continually giving us new mornings and provision to live, the greatness of His love, by watering the tender plants even those grass which are cursed and exterminated by the tillers of the ground, His provision to feed the sparrows that wakes me up in the dawning of the morning, these are mostly unnoticed wondrous works of the Hand of GOD.
Complainers should be ashamed to open their mouth in complaining about the small, even the great untoward details of their lives, but should open their eyes and behold the beauty of this world which GOD's hand wonderfully have created for us, but for some reasons was defiled by the sinfulness and wickedness of mankind.
Friends and brethren in Christ, the next time you use your tongue to complain, think of the great, small and even the common blessings all men received from the ALMIGHTY. And instead of complaining, sincerely give thanks to God ; for even if you have forsaken to acknowledge the wondrous works of GOD, He remains faithful in allowing you to see the morning everyday of your life.
Apostle Paul has written in his epistle for all believers' admonition:
1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 KJV
[16] Rejoice evermore.
[17] Pray without ceasing.
[18] In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
Romans 8:26-28,31-32 KJV
[26] Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.
[27] And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.
[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
[31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
[32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

Job 37:1-24 KJV
[1] At this also my heart trembleth, and is moved out of his place. [2] Hear attentively the noise of his voice, and the sound that goeth out of his mouth. [3] He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth. [4] After it a voice roareth: he thundereth with the voice of his excellency; and he will not stay them when his voice is heard. [5] God thundereth marvellously with his voice; great things doeth he, which we cannot comprehend. [6] For he saith to the snow, Be thou on the earth; likewise to the small rain, and to the great rain of his strength. [7] He sealeth up the hand of every man; that all men may know his work. [8] Then the beasts go into dens, and remain in their places. [9] Out of the south cometh the whirlwind: and cold out of the north. [10] By the breath of God frost is given: and the breadth of the waters is straitened. [11] Also by watering he wearieth the thick cloud: he scattereth his bright cloud: [12] And it is turned round about by his counsels: that they may do whatsoever he commandeth them upon the face of the world in the earth. [17] How thy garments are warm, when he quieteth the earth by the south wind ? [18] Hast thou with him spread out the sky, which is strong, and as a molten looking glass? [19] Teach us what we shall say unto him; for we cannot order our speech by reason of darkness. [20] Shall it be told him that I speak? if a man speak, surely he shall be swallowed up. [21] And now men see not the bright light which is in the clouds: but the wind passeth, and cleanseth them. [22] Fair weather cometh out of the north: with God is terrible majesty. [23] Touching the Almighty, we cannot find him out: he is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict. [24] Men do therefore fear him: he respecteth not any that are wise of heart.
