LORD, Who Shall Abide in Thy Tabernacle?

September 8, 2017-Friday-#472 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 15 KJV

***Lord , who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill? ***

[1] Lord , who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

[2] He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

[3] He that backbiteth not with his tongue, nor doeth evil to his neighbour, nor taketh up a reproach against his neighbour.

[4] In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the Lord . He that sweareth to his own hurt, and changeth not.

[5] He that putteth not out his money to usury, nor taketh reward against the innocent. He that doeth these things shall never be moved.

Words to ponder for today:

LORD, Who Shall Abide in Thy Tabernacle?

This question was asked, not because the Psalmist didn't know, but was asked because he wanted the listeners, even the readers to know and understand the specific answer. It is an attention seeking question directed to all in general, which gives informative answer.

It was written from then on that all ages should be able to supply knowledge about who really are them that shall abide in The LORD's tabernacle.
Although Psalm was written in the age where obedience to the Law of GOD is the way to become upright and righteous in GOD's eyes, yet the same salvation is freely given to all sinners; be it by law or by grace. But only them who take in and obey the law or accept the grace  of GOD, are them who are saved. Choice has to be made.
Whether to receive or reject  the given way , truth and life to have the Gift of salvation.
In our time where we are living in the dispensation of grace, not in the dispensation of the Law,  salvation is only for them who wholeheartedly accept The LORD JESUS CHRIST as there personal LORD and Savior, and it is only the saved and the true beleivers who shall have that desire to abide in The LORD's tabernacle.
When a person, 1. ADMITTED that he or she is a sinner, 2. ACKNOWLEDGE his or her depravity and incapability to free him/her self from the punishment of sin, 3. ASK forgiveness from his/ her sin, and 4.ACCEPTED in his/her heart that is ONLY through The LORD JESUS CHRIST he or she shall be saved, then that person shall have that changed life and there shall be that desires to  abide in The LORD's tabernacle.
For indeed, salvation is free and not of good works as what it is said in Ephesians 2:8-9 KJV
[8] For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: [9] Not of works, lest any man should boast., Yet good works and abstaining from doing evil thing, speaking lies and hypocrisies, reproachful to his or her neighbors and living righteously, shall be the fruit of that changed lives; his or her souls hopes and desires is to dwell in that holy hill, which is the heavenly abode of The LORD.

Check out your desires; if your desires is out of the way of the will of GOD, then you are heading towards the opposite, which is against the direction of the holy hill.
If your desires is the worldly pleasures, then you have no appetite to learn GOD's words.
Apostle Paul has written:  Colossians 3:1-2 KJV
[1] If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.
[2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.

LET us seek the things which will glorify The LORD's Name through our lives, and that our desires is to dwell in that holy hill, where we should abide.

Have a blessed morning to all!
