September 4, 2017-Monday-#468 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 11 KJV
***If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do? ***
[1] In the Lord put I my trust: how say ye to my soul, Flee as a bird to your mountain?
[2] For, lo, the wicked bend their bow, they make ready their arrow upon the string, that they may privily shoot at the upright in heart.
[3] If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?
[4] The Lord is in his holy temple, the Lord's throne is in heaven: his eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men.
[5] The Lord trieth the righteous: but the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.
[6] Upon the wicked he shall rain snares, fire and brimstone, and an horrible tempest: this shall be the portion of their cup.
[7] For the righteous Lord loveth righteousness; his countenance doth behold the upright.
Words to ponder for today:
The Foundation
The greatest challenge of faith should not be based upon the loyalty of a faithful person to whom that person put his or her trust upon; but it must be measured by how that faith works unto that person from whom he put his trust upon. There should be an evidential proof as becoming the stronghold and a solid foundation.
A shining truth testifying there is indeed a changed lives, a genuine humility, a visible meekness, a comforting peacefulness and the moral stability that that faithful person have with him or her, given and intreated by The ONE to whom faith comes from.
Just as what the early martyrs and true Christians believers whose foundation of faith is in the resurrection of JESUS CHRIST, who lived, who died, who was buried and in the third day rose again, seated in the right hand of GOD His Father in heaven, promised to return again to take them who put their trust in Him.
John 14:1-3 KJV
[1] Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.
[2] In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so , I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
[3] And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
If the foundation of faith has been destroyed and was not able to raise himself up, then faith in that foundation became a mere ideology that is used to oppress the weak and inferior. It is either used to make merchandise of human resources, or to manipulatively used them for personal gain. That foundation of faith should not be trusted upon, for it is a devil's advocate.
Notedly is the personal and affirmative testimony of the psalmist who have solidly put his trust upon the LORD whom he testified and wholeheartedly trusted upon.
He appeared to have known personally his GOD as The Only righteous and just, The Father of The LORD JESUS CHRIST whom the Psalmist prophesied as the sure and firm foundation.
The blessed ONE, the foundation of his faith is The Righteous LORD who loves righteousness.
Question to answer:
How about your faith?
Does it gives you a comforting peace ?
Does it gives you an assurance of salvation?
Does it yield fruit of genuine humility, visible meekness and moral stability?
Who is the foundation of your faith?
Good evening!
