December 14, 2017-Thursday-#565 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 108 KJV
***Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.***
[1] O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory.
[2] Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early.
[3] I will praise thee, O Lord , among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations.
[4] For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds.
[5] Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth;
[6] That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me.
[10] Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
[11] Wilt not thou , O God, who hast cast us off? and wilt not thou, O God, go forth with our hosts?
[12] Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
[13] Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
Words to ponder for today:
Through GOD, We Shall Do Valiantly
A song or psalm of David
It was through the Psalmist many trials, temptations, even tribulations that his GOD has proven to him His powerful deliverance.
GOD had loved David; setting him as the apple of His eye. But, HE had not stop the turmoils in the life of David; instead used it to tempered his faithfulness unto HIM. From then, we have now David's life's testimonies, wherein, if we will walk in the path he had trudged in faithfulness, we too can proved GOD is still actively working in the lives of them who faithfully trusting in Him. Not only in mind and in heart, but in changing the will and dispositions to do and obey GOD's instruction written in His words: The King James Version of the Bible.
Indeed, it is ONLY through GOD, that we shall do valiantly. For if we depended everything in our strength and understanding, we shall fail. For in refusing GOD's working hand in all courses of life, and replacing our own works of righteousness is vain.
GOD may allows our own ideas to succeed, but there will come a time, when The LORD's hand shall move and His righteousness shall bring about judgement. Judgement to the oppressors and the opponents, and justice to the oppressed and the obedient.
Reiteratively, let me recapitulate the message of this psalm: it is only through GOD, we shall do valiantly; for we could do not much to be victorious over our enemies. Our strength will fail us, even the help of the most strongest people in the face of this earth shall fail: but not GOD's powerful hand.
We then, should be setting aside all our thoughts about our own self righteousness, self will and selfishness, and let GOD's hand overruled.
Apostle Paul has written in his epistle to the Corinthians: 2 Corinthians 10:4-6 KJV
[4] (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
[5] Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
[6] And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled.
Finally, let us all rise up in the morning, seeking not what GOD can do for us, but setting our hearts be fix in trusting the working, mighty hand of The True and Living GOD.
Let our singing and praises be heard from the face of the earth where we live, unto the throne of His grace, for it is of a truth:
"Through God we shall do valiantly: for He it is that shall tread down our enemies."
Be courageous to stand for The LORD.
Let Him alone be given all the praises and honor in all the earth as it is in heaven. Let all who haven't yet enter into The LORD's saving knowledge, be aware that there is Only One Name under heaven, whereby all souls must be saved.
Let GOD's salvation in The Name of GOD's Only Begotten SON JESUS CHRIST be each one's desire today!
Good morning!
Psalm 108:1-13 KJV
[1] O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory. [2] Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early. [3] I will praise thee, O Lord , among the people: and I will sing praises unto thee among the nations. [4] For thy mercy is great above the heavens: and thy truth reacheth unto the clouds. [5] Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens: and thy glory above all the earth; [6] That thy beloved may be delivered: save with thy right hand, and answer me. [7] God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth. [8] Gilead is mine; Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver; [9] Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe; over Philistia will I triumph.
