February 8, 2018- #614 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Proverbs 7 KJV
***Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.***
[1] My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee.
[2] Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye.
[3] Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart.
[4] Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman:
[5] That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words.
[24] Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth.
[25] Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths.
[26] For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her.
[27] Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
Words to ponder for today:
The Apple Of Our Eyes
Verses 1-4; an earnest Fatherly admonition Of The author to his biological sons and the men among the people of his kingdom. The message is centered to men, whose lustfulness, (addressed them as simple or ignorant), lead them to the door of the whorish woman, whose evil deeds destroys her husband’s integrity, by alluring men of her choice, while her husband is away, (referred here as the good man)’ and defiled the bed of their marriage.
However, for me, being a woman in the true nature of gender, this conveys a strong and mind boggling message about the action of the strange woman mentioned not only in this chapter but in the previous chapters I have read: Prov. 2: 16-19, 5:3-11, 6:24-29
These kind of women paint their face impudently and with their much fair speech entice men to come in unto them. They are loud and hang around in every corner of the streets, might be in this present time, hang around in the mall, in every plaza, in every night clubs. They would not contain themselves staying at home to fix neatly their houses, they are busy minding things that will sustain their lustful desires. They are stubborn and think only of their own happiness.
They wanted to be the Apple Of every men’s eyes.
They do everything they can, to get what they want; they don’t care if they wreck a marriage or other people’s lives, just to get what they want.
Women of GOD, be not entangled with The activities of these strange women. We are called to be a maker of house; chaste and sober. We should avoid flirtatious action with men that marred the Holy Name Of our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. Apostle Paul said:
1 Timothy 2:9-11 KJV
[9] In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array; [10] But (which becometh women professing godliness) with good works.
[11] Let the woman learn in silence with all subjection.
Men, young and old, be wise to exercise discernment to avoid and abhor the impudent face and fair speeches of the strange women. But you cannot do that without understanding what The LORD will is. You need godly wisdom that comes only from GOD’s words. Do not be allures by he charming wink of the strange women’s eyes. The LORD JESUS CHRIST’s Words and commandments should be the Apple Of your eyes.
Herewith is the reflection of The LORD JESUS CHRIST speaking to us; Titus 2:11-13 KJV
[11] For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men,
[12] Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;
[13] Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ;
Let LORD JESUS CHRIST and His words be the Apple Of our eyes.
Be blessed today and ever!
Proverbs 7:1-27 KJV
[1] My son, keep my words, and lay up my commandments with thee. [2] Keep my commandments, and live; and my law as the apple of thine eye. [3] Bind them upon thy fingers, write them upon the table of thine heart. [4] Say unto wisdom, Thou art my sister; and call understanding thy kinswoman: [5] That they may keep thee from the strange woman, from the stranger which flattereth with her words. [6] For at the window of my house I looked through my casement, [7] And beheld among the simple ones, I discerned among the youths, a young man void of understanding, [8] Passing through the street near her corner; and he went the way to her house, [9] In the twilight, in the evening, in the black and dark night: [10] And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. [11] (She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: [12] Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.) [13] So she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said unto him, [14] I have peace offerings with me; this day have I payed my vows. [15] Therefore came I forth to meet thee, diligently to seek thy face, and I have found thee. [16] I have decked my bed with coverings of tapestry, with carved works , with fine linen of Egypt. [17] I have perfumed my bed with myrrh, aloes, and cinnamon. [18] Come, let us take our fill of love until the morning: let us solace ourselves with loves. [19] For the goodman is not at home, he is gone a long journey: [20] He hath taken a bag of money with him, and will come home at the day appointed. [21] With her much fair speech she caused him to yield, with the flattering of her lips she forced him. [22] He goeth after her straightway, as an ox goeth to the slaughter, or as a fool to the correction of the stocks; [23] Till a dart strike through his liver; as a bird hasteth to the snare, and knoweth not that it is for his life.
