A Threefold Cord Is Not Quickly Broken

March 10, 2018- Saturday-#642- Daily Bible Reading and Meditation- Ecclesiastes 4 KJV

***And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.*** 

[1] So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter; and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter. 

[2] Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive. 

[3] Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun. 

[9] Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. 

[10] For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. 

[11] Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone ? 

[12] And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. 

[13] Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.

Words to ponder for today: 

A Threefold Cord Is Not Quickly Broken

The Preacher, have witnessed and penned down for us his observation about the sorrowful state of human. The oppression and the travails men suffers, both from  being the oppressed, and the oppressors are such a great vexation of the spirit. It is better for a soul not to be physically born; for an unborn soul, even in death of the livings do not feel nor have to face the sufferings which the living have to go through under the sun. 

The pain and uneasiness may differs; howbeit both of them suffers with no comforters. 

Why? Because of the ignorance, hardheartedness and an unwillingness to call for The True GOD who send out The Comforter. 

Some died poor, oppressed, and tormented without knowing The Savior. Some grow old in their wickedness; mocking GOD whose power is able to raise and keep together the poor, the needy,the oppressed and the tormented with the rich, the fortunate, the oppressors and the tormentors if both of them come to realize their sinful and hopeless condition, repentance from their sins, reject their own selfish ways to receive the Only Way, The Only Truth and The Only Life. 

From this change of mind comes unity. Both then shall indwells by  the Comforter who reconciled them in faith; both have their own stories to tell, both acquired boldness to share the testimony that will enlightened the eyes of their kinds. 

These are the people who after they believed and accepted GOD The Father, GOD’s Only Begotten SON who is The Savior JESUS CHRIST, and The HOLY SPIRIT who resides in the heart of every true believers,  they then are united together for GOD’s own purpose. 

They are likened to threefold cords in unity which is not easily broken. Two is better than one; as the body must have soul to be alive and moving.  However, when the Spirit Of GOD indwells and enjoined the body and soul of a person, that person is not easily be shaken; in faith, in works and in love.  Because in every travails, in every oppressions, in every trials and tribulations, there is GOD’s comforting promise: “I will never leave you  nor forsake you.”

 In GOD’s time, when a person received salvation, The LORD GOD makes and perfected all ugliness and brokenness; fit them together to become beautifully stronger conquering even death, the most dreadful and fearful threats or assault human may face. 

Be not quickly broken but be strengthen as the threefold cord. 

By accepting JESUS CHRIST as the Savior and personal LORD.

The Only way, The Only Truth to be indwells by The HOLY GHOST.

Which can only be achieved through believing in GOD’s Holy Words.

[5] The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh. [6] Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit. [7] Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun. [8] There is one alone , and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches; neither saith he , For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail. [9] Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. [15] I considered all the living which walk under the sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead. [16] There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and vexation of spirit.
