March 12, 2018-Monday-#644 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Ecclesiastes 6 KJV
***For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?***
[1] There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men:
[2] A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease.
[3] If a man beget an hundred children , and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he.
[7] All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled.
[9] Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
[12] For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
Words to ponder for today:
...For who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
It is indeed a question in this life we are living in.
Is there somebody who really know what is good in this life, much more what shall be after life is over?
Only this fact of life is certain; before death is life, and before life is birth; and this is the very purpose why the Bible is written: to answer life’s most obscure questions.
Life’s norm is usually the product of cause and effect. Evil deeds yielded evil result, as well as good deeds yielded also good result. But for man’s perspective which is also visible to the naked eyes, sometimes it did not happen the way it should be; because there are evil doers who live a goodly lives, and some good people suffers; living like as if evil is with them, because of their hellish struggles and sufferings .
However, the wisdom of the Author and the Preacher of this chapter, plainly give emphasis of what he have seen going on under the sun; that he implied how GOD is still the One in control of everything.
Because even though some evil men make their own way to prosper by their evil deeds, and immensely take pride in the greatness of their possession they accumulated from oppression and ruthless businesses, yet their wealth could not be able to heal the sickness The Good LORD inflected them; that they cannot even eat the food they wanted. Much to their agony, they would not, but others will enjoy their possession; that even they have hundred of children whom are suppose to be happy around them and should take care of them when they are on their bed of sickness, or to their death bed; even gathered mourning together for their burial, not one is willing to spend time with them nor willing to be called one of theirs.
This is the sad truth of life. If a man lives as if he owns his life in this earth, it is better for him not to be born. For if he came to this earth and live in vanity, he will depart in this earth to spend his life after death in great darkness for eternity. The Preacher said so; as He is moved by GOD to write unto us, so that his writings will warn us to live a life which is according to the will of our Maker; The One who has given us our manual of living not only goodly but godly life; this Bible.
The Living and Sovereign GOD is too wise to be mistaken. He had given us His words to answer this question:
[12] For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
Yes, the Bible has an answer. One just have to be seriously incline to know who really knows what is good and what shall be after man’s life in this earth has ended.
It is given for us to be ready when that great day arrives; the time of our death; the time to live that life after death; that time to face GOD on His judgement seat.
Hebrews 9:27-28 KJV
[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
[28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Look upon The LORD.
Listen to GOD’s Words.
Learn from CHRIST JESUS.
Live as if you live to win the whole world.
Love as if you are also nailed on that cross.
Be blessed today and ever!
Ecclesiastes 6:1-12 KJV
[1] There is an evil which I have seen under the sun, and it is common among men: [2] A man to whom God hath given riches, wealth, and honour, so that he wanteth nothing for his soul of all that he desireth, yet God giveth him not power to eat thereof, but a stranger eateth it: this is vanity, and it is an evil disease. [3] If a man beget an hundred children , and live many years, so that the days of his years be many, and his soul be not filled with good, and also that he have no burial; I say, that an untimely birth is better than he. [4] For he cometh in with vanity, and departeth in darkness, and his name shall be covered with darkness. [5] Moreover he hath not seen the sun, nor known any thing : this hath more rest than the other. [6] Yea, though he live a thousand years twice told , yet hath he seen no good: do not all go to one place? [7] All the labour of man is for his mouth, and yet the appetite is not filled. [8] For what hath the wise more than the fool? what hath the poor, that knoweth to walk before the living? [9] Better is the sight of the eyes than the wandering of the desire: this is also vanity and vexation of spirit. [10] That which hath been is named already, and it is known that it is man: neither may he contend with him that is mightier than he. [11] Seeing there be many things that increase vanity, what is man the better? [12] For who knoweth what is good for man in this life, all the days of his vain life which he spendeth as a shadow? for who can tell a man what shall be after him under the sun?
