April 8, 2018-Tuesday-#697-Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Isaiah 39 KJV
***And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.***
[1] At that time Merodach-baladan, the son of Baladan, king of Babylon, sent letters and a present to Hezekiah: for he had heard that he had been sick, and was recovered.
[2] And Hezekiah was glad of them, and shewed them the house of his precious things, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the precious ointment, and all the house of his armour, and all that was found in his treasures: there was nothing in his house, nor in all his dominion, that Hezekiah shewed them not.
[3] Then came Isaiah the prophet unto king Hezekiah, and said unto him, What said these men? and from whence came they unto thee? And Hezekiah said, They are come from a far country unto me, even from Babylon.
[4] Then said he, What have they seen in thine house? And Hezekiah answered, All that is in mine house have they seen: there is nothing among my treasures that I have not shewed them.
[5] Then said Isaiah to Hezekiah, Hear the word of the Lord of hosts:
[6] Behold, the days come, that all that is in thine house, and that which thy fathers have laid up in store until this day, shall be carried to Babylon: nothing shall be left, saith the Lord .
[7] And of thy sons that shall issue from thee, which thou shalt beget, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.
Words to ponder for today:
Precious Things
Hezekiah became overwhelmed with gladness when the king of Babylon sent present to him because they learned that he had been recovered from fatal ailment. Then he open up his treasures to them and show off to them all that he had. Then the Prophet Isaiah came and told the king what shall come to happen because of his act of Indiscretion: that all of the treasures even all that were gathered and kept in store by his forefather King David shall be carried all to the Babylon, and the sons from his seeds shall be brought captive to Babylon to become Eunuchs there.
Though Hezekiah’s reaction remain positive, he have done something grievous which cannot be corrected. For he opened his heart, mind and soul to the wrong persons whom were among their worst enemies.
A lesson each people should learn:
Be discrete. Learn discernment. Know how to manage emotions. Do not make any decision when you are overwhelmed with sadness, nor open up your precious things to everybody when you are happy.
Our Good LORD is a wise GOD who have given us understanding and discretion. He place our brain on the top of our head, to control our entire beings.
And to all the saved: we should not expose ourselves to the destructive targets of our enemies.
For our LORD JESUS CHRIST blood covers us, and our life is His and in him; that we may be safe and secured in His love.
Apostle Paul has written:
Colossians 3:2-7 KJV
[2] Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.
[3] For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.
[4] When Christ, who is our life, shall appear, then shall ye also appear with him in glory.
[5] Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
[6] For which things' sake the wrath of God cometh on the children of disobedience:
[7] In the which ye also walked some time, when ye lived in them.
We true believers are a precious things unto our GOD that we are covered and hid by GOD’s love through the precious blood of our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. Let us not be exposed to the subtle wiles of the devils.
Be prudent and with discretion to not uncover our body, our thoughts and the content of our hearts, that the enemies will have no opportunity to lure and devour us.
And for all who are unsure of your eternity, you may accept, believe and call upon The Name of The LORD JESUS CHRIST, to secure your salvation, and be covered by His precious blood. It is putting your entire beings into His cares, trusting his plan and his ways, and be resolve to obey His precepts and submitting to His blessed will.
Be hid into GOD’s hand as His precious things.
Be blessed today and forever!
Good morning!
