*** [6] In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.***
[5] And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest.
[6] In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes.
[9] And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Beth-lehem-judah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place.
[10] And Micah said unto him, Dwell with me, and be unto me a father and a priest, and I will give thee ten shekels of silver by the year, and a suit of apparel, and thy victuals. So the Levite went in.
[12] And Micah consecrated the Levite; and the young man became his priest, and was in the house of Micah.
[13] Then said Micah, Now know I that the Lord will do me good, seeing I have a Levite to my priest.
Words to ponder for today:
Did That Which Is Right In His Own Eyes
“When the people have no leader who gave the words of instruction , then everybody is the leader of their own. “
This happened to the people of Israel, during the time when the glory of The LORD departed from them; He left them alone and delivered them into the hands of their enemies.
A man named Micah, think that he did a good works in hearkening unto his mother, for her persistent pleading of making a graven image and a molten image from the two hundred shekels of silver she gave unto the smith to make her gods.
And so he did serve God according to his own understanding.
A reflection of the so many deceived people who ignorantly gave in and cleaved to the belief brought by the Spaniards in our land.
Majority of the devoted fanatics adhered to that belief. Refusing to accept GOD’s calling to repent and turn away from idolatrous worship, and turn to the Living GOD who desires to worship Him in Spirit and in truth; just as what The LORD JESUS CHRIST have said: John 4:24 KJV
[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 14:6 KJV
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Know therefore, that while some of us did that which is right in their own eyes, does not mean that it is the right belief which is acceptable to GOD.
That while we prosper in some of our endeavors, as we think we’re doing the right thing, and our deeds is pleasing in the eyes of God; but if we kneel down to the graven images and molten images or idols to worship Him, it is not and will never be acceptable in the eyes of The True GOD who hated idols and graven images.
Deuteronomy 5:6-9 KJV
“[6] I am the Lord thy God, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
[7] Thou shalt have none other gods before me.
[8] Thou shalt not make thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:
[9] Thou shalt not bow down thyself unto them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me,”
All of our understanding and strength are limited. Our manual is GOD’s words which were spoken by our Creator. The truth and fact that our lives has its beginning and its ending, makes us understand that our lives here in this earth is temporal. We are all accountable and have to face GOD one day. And it does not matter to Him how much money we make on this earth, how many people we help, and how much effort we exerts doing good deeds. Because what matter to Him is our willingness to listen and obey what He have said.
Think, Meditate, Ponder.
Most people nowadays did that which is right in their own eyes. But to listen and hearken to the righteous instructions of GOD, many fails.
The LORD JESUS CHRIST said: Matthew 7:21-24 KJV
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. [22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? [23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. [24] Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:
The King James Bible is the book in which written are the Words of GOD. It is just within our reach. You can download it in your android phone, or go to the nearest Christian Bookstore and buy it to freely read it, for you to know what GOD said.
It didn’t matter what man said, what really matters to us today is to know who the True GOD is, and how we listen and obey the words that He have said.
Let each one, to whom I share this thoughts to ponder will really come to the knowledge of The LORD, who have promised He will come again and His reward and recompense is with Him.
Let each one of us be saved by accepting, believing and calling only in the Name of The Savior JESUS CHRIST, before that great and dreadful day.
Be saved today and be blessed forever!
Good morning!
Judges 17:1-13 KJV
[1] And there was a man of mount Ephraim, whose name was Micah. [2] And he said unto his mother, The eleven hundred shekels of silver that were taken from thee, about which thou cursedst, and spakest of also in mine ears, behold, the silver is with me; I took it. And his mother said, Blessed be thou of the Lord, my son. [3] And when he had restored the eleven hundred shekels of silver to his mother, his mother said, I had wholly dedicated the silver unto the Lord from my hand for my son, to make a graven image and a molten image: now therefore I will restore it unto thee. [4] Yet he restored the money unto his mother; and his mother took two hundred shekels of silver, and gave them to the founder, who made thereof a graven image and a molten image: and they were in the house of Micah. [5] And the man Micah had an house of gods, and made an ephod, and teraphim, and consecrated one of his sons, who became his priest. [6] In those days there was no king in Israel, but every man did that which was right in his own eyes. [7] And there was a young man out of Beth-lehem-judah of the family of Judah, who was a Levite, and he sojourned there. [8] And the man departed out of the city from Beth-lehem-judah to sojourn where he could find a place : and he came to mount Ephraim to the house of Micah, as he journeyed. [9] And Micah said unto him, Whence comest thou? And he said unto him, I am a Levite of Beth-lehem-judah, and I go to sojourn where I may find a place.
