“[1] Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.”
The Love of The LORD
Loving and taking in again an adulterer woman is forbidden for a prophet of GOD; yet The LORD commanded Prophet Hosea to do so.
How painful it is to the heart of a faithful, clean living man, to be cheated upon, and was commanded to take back again his cheating wife; who not only to one night stand, but chasing her men, one after another!
It was a metaphor of GOD’s love to His chosen people; to whom He reveal Himself, show off His great power and abounding love, yet turn their back, pursued and worship other gods.
Sometimes The LORD allowed us to feel the pain in giving love to the one who is the subject of our sincere love and desires, who in return took our love for granted and pursue their untoward lustful desires for everyone whom they sets their eyes upon.
Yet it is an act of selfless, godly love to take back, give love and giving all what we have. For so is the love of GOD to mankind; who instead of loving back GOD, turns their back and continue to ignore His love.
GOD is not mocked and He will never let all our sins pass unpunished. The very reason why He sent His Only Son JESUS CHRIST as the pure and sinless sacrifice; so that all who accept, believe and call in His Name, will reciprocate His love.
Return to GOD.
Admit you forsook His love by your continual sinning and worshipping idols.
Accept His gift of salvation by simply yet wholehearted believing in His Son.
Call His Name in prayers.
Depart from sinning and,
Enjoy the blessed life unto eternal.
Good morning.
Hosea 3:1-5 KJV
[1] Then said the Lord unto me, Go yet, love a woman beloved of her friend, yet an adulteress, according to the love of the Lord toward the children of Israel, who look to other gods, and love flagons of wine.
[2] So I bought her to me for fifteen pieces of silver, and for an homer of barley, and an half homer of barley:
[3] And I said unto her, Thou shalt abide for me many days; thou shalt not play the harlot, and thou shalt not be for another man: so will I also be for thee.
[4] For the children of Israel shall abide many days without a king, and without a prince, and without a sacrifice, and without an image, and without an ephod, and without teraphim:
[5] Afterward shall the children of Israel return, and seek the Lord their God, and David their king; and shall fear the Lord and his goodness in the latter days.
