Lesson #10: JESUS CHRIST- The Remnant of Jacob

“[7] And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men.

[8] And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver.”

In this chapter of Micah, there are  three apparent prophetic events that happened and will come to happened:

1. The human birthplace of The LORD: a Ruler in Israel (the past event we’re looking back)

“[2] But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.

[4] And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. “

2. The hope and justice from The LORD: “a dew from The LORD”, “a lion among the beasts” v. 7,8 ( the present time: all are under grace)

3. The hand of vengeance for His adversaries, the idolaters and the heathen’s Executioner. V. 9-15 (the future event that will come to happen)

We are allunder the grace, in this present time ; the remnant of Jacob as  “dew from The LORD”, “in the midst of many people, and among the Gentile.” Is the mystery which Apostle Paul mentioned in his epistle:

1 Corinthians 2:2-9 KJV

[2] For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

[3] And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

[4] And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

[5] That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

[6] Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

[7] But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

[8] Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

[9] But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

 The Remnant of Jacob as:

A dew from The LORD : He is JESUS CHRIST:

The Only Son of GOD: The Second Person in the Godhead:

v.2…”whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.”

[4] And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth

The Only Hope and the way of salvation, not only for Jacob’s children only, but also to the Gentiles: Titus 1:2-4 KJV

[2] In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

[3] But hath in due times manifested his word through preaching, which is committed unto me according to the commandment of God our Saviour;

[4] To Titus, mine own son after the common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ our Saviour.

Galatians 3:26-29 KJV

[26] For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

[27] For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

[28] There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

[29] And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

1. JESUS CHRIST is for us a dew  from The LORD we received, after we accepted, believe and call upon His Name:

a. Justification: not to say, just as if we did not sin, but because He is just, He imputed to us His righteousness while yet we are sinners.

Romans 5:1-2 KJV

[1] Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:

[2] By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Romans 5:8-9 KJV

[8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

[9] Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.

Romans 8:28-30 KJV

[28] And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. [29] For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

[30] Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

2. He is for them a “Lion among the beasts”,  “Young Lion” “that treadeth down and teareth in pieces and none shall deliver.” v.8

b. Judgement

His hand will cut off His adversaries v.9-15

cut off horses, destroy chariots, cut off cities and throw down strongholds

Cut off witchcraft, soothsayers, graven images and destroy the grooves.

Execute Vengeance in anger and His fury against the heathen.

JESUS CHRIST has spoken His words to Apostle John in   Revelation 1:1-8 KJV

[1] The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

[2] Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

[3] Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

[4] John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

[5] And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

[6] And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.

[7] Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

[8] I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty.

Let The Name of The LORD JESUS CHRIST be magnified in our lives everyday and ever.

Good day.

Micah 5:1-15 KJV

[1] Now gather thyself in troops, O daughter of troops: he hath laid siege against us: they shall smite the judge of Israel with a rod upon the cheek. [2] But thou, Beth-lehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting. [3] Therefore will he give them up, until the time that she which travaileth hath brought forth: then the remnant of his brethren shall return unto the children of Israel. [4] And he shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God; and they shall abide: for now shall he be great unto the ends of the earth. [5] And this man shall be the peace, when the Assyrian shall come into our land: and when he shall tread in our palaces, then shall we raise against him seven shepherds, and eight principal men. [6] And they shall waste the land of Assyria with the sword, and the land of Nimrod in the entrances thereof: thus shall he deliver us from the Assyrian, when he cometh into our land, and when he treadeth within our borders. [7] And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many people as a dew from the Lord, as the showers upon the grass, that tarrieth not for man, nor waiteth for the sons of men. [8] And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles in the midst of many people as a lion among the beasts of the forest, as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, if he go through, both treadeth down, and teareth in pieces, and none can deliver. [9] Thine hand shall be lifted up upon thine adversaries, and all thine enemies shall be cut off. [10] And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord, that I will cut off thy horses out of the midst of thee, and I will destroy thy chariots: [11] And I will cut off the cities of thy land, and throw down all thy strong holds: [12] And I will cut off witchcrafts out of thine hand; and thou shalt have no more soothsayers: [13] Thy graven images also will I cut off, and thy standing images out of the midst of thee; and thou shalt no more worship the work of thine hands. [14] And I will pluck up thy groves out of the midst of thee: so will I destroy thy cities. [15] And I will execute vengeance in anger and fury upon the heathen, such as they have not heard.
