“5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.”

Words to ponder: He is not here: For He is Risen

It was on that dawning of the first day of the week; which is Sunday.

Matthew specifically wrote these last sequenceswith complete details such as:

• It was just the end of Sabbath, and it began to dawn on that first day of the week when Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to the grave where Jesus was buried. V.1The Resurrection day is  at a very early Sunday morning.
• The angel of the Lord descended from heavenwhich face shone like lightning, and his raiment was white as snow; with that great earthquake; rolled back the stone from the door of the sepulchre, and he sat there. V.2,3– The Resplendence of the angel that descend from heaven is not an ordinary sight, therefore it is absolute that it is not just an imaginary vision.
• The angel called Jesus “the Lord”.v.6 – The reverence of the angel, calling Jesus Lord prove that Jesus is the Lord even of the angels.
• He told the women that Jesus was not there for He is risen, and that the two women should not fear, but go quickly and tell it to His disciples. V.6,7 The Resounding of what the angel said that The Lord has risen was first given to the two woman who early came to the grave; and that it has to be known immediately to The Lord’s disciples
• They meet Jesus on their way, as they are about to tell the disciples that He is risen., they then held His feet and worship Him.v.9
The Rejoicing of the two women that what the angel told them is true; that they are the first one to see Jesus after `His resurrection, the first one to touch his feet, the first one to worship him.
• The concealing for the truth of the elders; bribing the watchmen to tell the truth of what happened in the grave. Instead authoritatively obliged them to report that the remain of Jesus was stolen by the Lord’s disciples. V11-15,17 -The Result of the Restricted Reportis now the cause of unbelief of most Jews; as well as the confusion that resulted to unbelief of most people.
• The great commission which the Lord Jesus has given to His disciples. V18-20  The Resonance of the Gospel of the Kingdom of God should be resounded by The Lord’s disciples; to be heard loud and clear.

18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

And from us all believers The Lord expectedfrom us to resound the Gospel of Salvation which was given and entrusted to Apostle Paul.

1Corinthians 15KJV

“15 Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;

2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.

3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”

The Lord’s body did not remain in the grave, nor it was stolen just like what the elders told the watchmen to report to the people that surely have come that time to the ear of the Governor.

He is not there; for He is risen.

His birth was told by the angel.

His resurrection was told by the angel.

His return was also told by the angel to His disciples who witness the Lord’s ascension.

Just as it was written in the book of Acts:

Acts 1KJV

“9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.

10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;

11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.”

And of the many infallible proofs that was written in the inerrant word of God: the Bible, from which is the basis of our faith and practice, we have this blessed assurance that we should be comfortedstrengthen and settled in the faith of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, who is the first fruit of the resurrection from the dead.

Thank GOD the Father for this wonderful gift which He has given to us; that no matter what happen, we are free from the sting of death. We have the blessed hope, to look forward as we trudge and toil while yet living in this word.

What the elders tried to conceal, was now revealed to us through the epistle of Apostle Paul:

1 Corinthians 15 KJV

‘51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,

52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

57 But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfastunmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.”

1 Thessalonians 4 KJV

13 But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

14  For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.

15 For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.”

Let us all be comforted with this word: Our LORD is risen.

Good morning.

Matthew 28KJV

1In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

And they departed quickly from the sepulchrewith fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

10 Then said Jesus unto them, Be not afraid: go tell my brethren that they go into Galilee, and there shall they see me.

11 Now when they were going, behold, some of the watch came into the city, and shewed unto the chief priests all the things that were done.

12 And when they were assembled with the elders, and had taken counsel, they gave large money unto the soldiers,

13 Saying, Say ye, His disciples came by night, and stole him away while we slept.

14 And if this come to the governor's ears, we will persuade him, and secure you.

15 So they took the money, and did as they were taught: and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

16 Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.

17 And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.

Amen.
