Acts 4:1-4 KJV
[1] And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
[2] Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
[3] And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

[4] Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

Lesson: The Resurrection from the dead of JESUS

Apostle Peter stood in the midst of the condemning presence of those rulers who authored the crucifixion of JESUS CHRIST The LORD.

These followers of JESUS, who before hide themselves for fear, were now boldly and fearlessly speaking to them that in the Name of JESUS CHRIST of Nazareth, whom GOD raised from the dead, the impotent(lame) man was made whole.

That there is no other name given under heaven people will be saved except in The LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST’s Name.

Another poem from this chapter, GOD enabled me to composed:

The Resurrection of JESUS

Not all were happy, rulers were troubled  and upset.
Because of the resurrection of JESUS from the dead, they preached.
But to them whose hearts are ready, theycame to believe.
Followed the apostles preaching, as their hearts were convicted.

The words of The LORD became more powerful, that many eyes of them opened.
They came to realized they have been so blind, to see the miracles wrought by the Holy One of Israel.
May His power continue to rule our hearts, as we believe the words He said.
That until the time of His coming be fulfilled, He will find us faithfully obeying His blessed will.

When we courageously stand to speak the truth,

Took the challenge to prove and promote God’s words

Carrying with us the compassionate love of the LORD for the needy and lost,

The Mighty Hand of The LORD our GOD,will surely move.

Not title, nor power, not even religion is able to save soul, from the eternity of hell.
So let no one be fanatics of power, position, possession or patron saints

But be follower of CHRIST JESUS whom GOD raised from the dead,

And is now seated in the right hand of His Heavenly Father;

Having His power to judge all creature of heaven and of this earth.

Acts 4:5-22 KJV
[21] So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
[22] For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

While as the Apostles Peter and John stood up and boldly answered the rulers, they were confronted to put them to silence, but could not do any harm against them; that they just threatened them to not speak again in JESUS Name.
Then they were immediately released; they were not able to take hold of them any longer, for many people believed them because of the miracle that they have seen.
This clearly remind us these things:

• be courageous in standing and speaking the truth
• take the challenge in proving and promoting GOD’s word.
• carry always with us the compassionfor the needy and helpless; for the heart of The LORD is gentle and gracious to all whose heart is to seek and to share the love of The LORD.

Acts 4:31-35 KJV
This is what The LORD promise to His people which was prophesied by Ezekiel the Prophet:
Ezekiel 36:26-27 KJV
“26 A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.
27 And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.”

And indeed it happened to GOD’s chosen people; them who believed on The LORD. They have one heart, pray with one accord.
The rich and prominent sold their possessions and to the apostles’ feet they brought.
No one lack what they needed. They all prophesied about the word: the death, burial and the resurrection of The LORD.
And GOD sent to them The HOLY GHOST.
Empowering them, in preaching, in teaching, giving them wisdom in all of their works.
They indeed experienced the tremendous grace of The LORD.
And these happened for GOD’s very own purpose:
That it will be written; for all to know that The LORD’s promise never fail; that even until now His Mighty Hand continually works!

One thing He requires from people is to believe and have faith in His words.
Trusting and testifying this very truth:
JESUS CHRIST of. Nazareth is the Only Savior and LORD!

Although in the later days, things gradually changed, they greatly suffered for lack of their needs, that Apostle Paul asked the churches to help the church in Jerusalem; this is the test of faith to the remnants in Jerusalem which remain. Each of the churches were called to send aid, to sustain the needs until the grievous persecution for their faith were imposed by the Roman Emperor.

Acts 4:36-37 KJV
[36] And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, The son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
[37] Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

Mentioned also in this chapter was Barnabas, the first martyr of the early Christianity, sold his possessions and laid it all at the apostles’ feet. A faith that sets no boundaries; giving him all, and eventually his life for the sake of the gospel.
He never have any hint by then, that his life on earth is about to ceased, in the hand of a man, who will soon become the apostle to the Gentiles.
Some may say, “what a waste!” or “ if his GOD to whom he offered everything is indeed a God Of love, He would never have let it happen.”

But the mind of GOD is not for us to comprehend. He knows what is best for all of us; it may appear to us sorrowful and grievous, but to GOD it is the manifestation of His grace. To our eyes, Barnabas did a great sacrifice, but for Barnabas it is not even enough. For it is his wholehearted obedience from the conviction of his heart. For surely, it keeps sounding in his ears and in his mind the words of the LORD IN John 15:13 “Greater love has no man than these: that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

Generations have gone and another have come, yet this gospel is still being heard in various preaching and teachings of GOD’s words.

And neither us, nor the coming ones will know when it will last. One thing we know and understand: the resurrection from the dead of JESUS has to be known to all, until the great and notable day of the LORD come.

How about us? Are we wholeheartedly giving up ourselves to the One true GOD who gave Himself for us?
As we have just observed the what they called Holy Week season wherein some believers commemorate the death of JESUS on the cross, let us take time to reflect to ourselves, did I already give the best of myself for the LORD? Or did I wholeheartedly obeyed what He required for me to give?

Sometimes, we think we already gave our best, our all, but in the eyes of GOD, our best or even our all is not enough, because, even if we accept or not, we have not, nor we can’t really fully surrender to Him in obedience the content of our hearts. It is only by GOD’s grace that our service to Him, whether it be small of great, that He counted them for our righteousness. It is because of the blood of JESUS CHRIST which on that cross He shed.

Let us keep on pressing forward; may we learn from the courage and boldness of Apostles Peter and John, which intimidated the rulers who tried to put them to silence; which eventually brought joy to the hearts of their people to pray and give thanks to The LORD; that the words of the prophets of old were refreshed to their mind; giving glory and adoration to the GOD of their ancestors: the GOD who performed His promise by sending His only Beloved Begotten Son JESUS, whose Name keep on working mightily to convert believers to faith.
And in their wholehearted prayers, The LORD answered. Filling them all with the HOLY GHOST, they boldly speak the gospel of The LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Encouraging us that, if we courageously stand to speak the truth, took the challenge to prove and promote the truth, carrying with us the compassionate love of the LORD for the needy and lost, The Mighty Hand of LORD our GOD will surely move. That people may see, and that the weak and the frailty in heart will be deepen in the faith for what they hear and see.
Make a difference by proving that our Savior and LORD JESUS CHRIST have risen from the grave and is now alive, by living a victorious life in our Christianity.
GOD strengthen and bless the heart and mind of all believers who take the challenge to speak for His glory.

Good morning

Acts 4 KJV
[1] And as they spake unto the people, the priests, and the captain of the temple, and the Sadducees, came upon them,
[2] Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
[3] And they laid hands on them, and put them in hold unto the next day: for it was now eventide.

[4] Howbeit many of them which heard the word believed; and the number of the men was about five thousand.

[5]And it came to pass on the morrow, that their rulers, and elders, and scribes,
[6] And Annas the high priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the kindred of the high priest, were gathered together at Jerusalem.
[7] And when they had set them in the midst, they asked, By what power, or by what name, have ye done this?
[8] Then Peter, filled with the Holy Ghost, said unto them, Ye rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
[9] If we this day be examined of the good deed done to the impotent man, by what means he is made whole;
[10] Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even by him doth this man stand here before you whole.
[11] This is the stone which was set at nought of you builders, which is become the head of the corner.
[12] Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
13]Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
[14] And beholding the man which was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
[15] But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
[16] Saying, What shall we do to these men? for that indeed a notable miracle hath been done by them is manifest to all them that dwell in Jerusalem; and we cannot deny it.

[17] But that it spread no further among the people, let us straitly threaten them, that they speak henceforth to no man in this name.
[18] And they called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
[19] But Peter and John answered and said unto them, Whether it be right in the sight of God to hearken unto you more than unto God, judge ye.
[20] For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard.
[21] So when they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding nothing how they might punish them, because of the people: for all men glorified God for that which was done.
[22] For the man was above forty years old, on whom this miracle of healing was shewed.

[23]And being let go, they went to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and elders had said unto them.
[24] And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, Lord, thou art God, which hast made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and all that in them is:
[25] Who by the mouth of thy servant David hast said, Why did the heathen rage, and the people imagine vain things?
[26] The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the Lord, and against his Christ.
[27] For of a truth against thy holy child Jesus, whom thou hast anointed, both Herod, and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles, and the people of Israel, were gathered together,
[28] For to do whatsoever thy hand and thy counsel determined before to be done.
[29] And now, Lord, behold their threatenings: and grant unto thy servants, that with all boldness they may speak thy word,
[30] By stretching forth thine hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of thy holy child Jesus.
[31]And when they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were assembled together; and they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and they spake the word of God with boldness.

32] And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
[33] And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus: and great grace was upon them all.
[34] Neither was there any among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the prices of the things that were sold,
[35] And laid them down at the apostles' feet: and distribution was made unto every man according as he had need.”

[36] And Joses, who by the apostles was surnamed Barnabas, (which is, being interpreted, the son of consolation,) a Levite, and of the country of Cyprus,
[37] Having land, sold it, and brought the money, and laid it at the apostles' feet.
