10 And as we tarried there many days, there came down from Judæa a certain prophet, named Agabus.
11 And when he was come unto us, he took Paul's girdle, and bound his own hands and feet, and said, Thus saith the Holy Ghost, So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man that owneth this girdle, and shall deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.
12 And when we heard these things, both we, and they of that place, besought him not to go up to Jerusalem.
13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord

14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
15 And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.

Lesson: The Will of The LORD Be Done

Acts 21:1-13 KJV
“And it came to pass, that after we were gotten from them, and had launched, we came with a straight course unto Coos, and the day following unto Rhodes, and from thence unto Patara:
2 And finding a ship sailing over unto Phenicia, we went aboard, and set forth. 3 Now when we had discovered Cyprus, we left it on the left hand, and sailed into Syria, and landed at Tyre: for there the ship was to unlade her burden. 4 And finding disciples, we tarried there seven days: who said to Paul through the Spirit, that he should not go up to Jerusalem.
5 And when we had accomplished those days, we departed and went our way; and they all brought us on our way, with wives and children, till we were out of the city: and we kneeled down on the shore, and prayed.
6 And when we had taken our leave one of another, we took ship; and they returned home again.
7 And when we had finished our course from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, and saluted the brethren, and abode with them one day.
8 And the next day we that were of Paul's company departed, and came unto Cæsarea: and we entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, which was one of the seven; and abode with him.
9 And the same man had four daughters, virgins, which did prophesy.
13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.”

The sailings were not easy, but they must go; and in between that journey, there were prophesies. And they abode with the Evangelist Philip, who baptized the Eunoch on his way back home to Ethiopia, Philip the evangelist, one among the seven chosen men to serve, whom here was recorded: he has four virgin prophesying daughters.
Where they meet a certain prophet Agabus, who prophesied the fate that will happen to Paul in Jerusalem from the hand of the Jews; of which, within the foreknowledge of Paul, was he calmly confirmed to them and declared, that it was so. Not only he will be bound but he is about to be sentence there to be killed. And as their heart were broken and in tears, forbid him not to go. But surprisingly Paul would not tarry; he must face what the LORD already told him what he would and should do.

As among the called servant of The LORD, there are things that must happen in our lives in the future, of which The LORD show us in a dream, in premonition or simply through the preaching of His words; from which after we heard, gives us the feelings of uneasiness and unusual, deeper concern. Sometimes it causes us restlessness and troubles our thoughts, that we became fearful; but the comforting peace of GOD helps us to get through, and amazingly in between tears and fears, with calmness of mind we carry on all along.

Life in CHRIST is full of surprises and challenges. What a servant must have within, is the willingness to hearken and wholehearted submission to obey.
There is peace in the midst of trouble, and there is joy in simply obeying GOD’s blessed will.

An obedient and fully surrendered servant understood what this message really means.
And for the unaware, you will never experience GOD’s amazing grace unless you give yourself to JESUS CHRIST as the LORD of your life and submit yourself to His blessed will.
Try Him, and experience an extraordinary life He has prepared for His every believers.

Acts 21:14-19 KJV
“14 And when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, The will of the Lord be done.
15 And after those days we took up our carriages, and went up to Jerusalem.
16 There went with us also certain of the disciples of Cæsarea, and brought with them one Mnasonof Cyprus, an old disciple, with whom we should lodg e.
17 And when we were come to Jerusalem, the brethren received us gladly.
18 And the day following Paul went in with us unto James; and all the elders were present.
19 And when he had saluted them, he declared particularly what things God had wrought among the Gentiles by his ministry”

The will of The LORD be done.

It was the fully surrendered life of Paul to the LORD’s direction that made his ministerial journey abound for the benefits of others; conveying to us from this message the essence of obedience,  to make the most of our time and testimony.
That no matter what, whether it be in chaos or in convenience, if we know our purpose, and that we trust GOD’s workings and timing, nothing will be in vain.
We just have to simply obey the LORD’s blessed will.

Acts 21:20-30 KJV
“20 And when they heard it, they glorified the Lord, and said unto him, Thou seest, brother, how many thousands of Jews there are which believe; and they are all zealous of the law:
21 And they are informed of thee, that thou teachest all the Jews which are among the Gentiles to forsake Moses, saying that they ought not to circumcise their children, neither to walk after the customs.
22 What is it therefore? the multitude must needs come together: for they will hear that thou art come.
23 Do therefore this that we say to thee: We have four men which have a vow on them;
24 Them take, and purify thyself with them, and be at charges with them, that they may shave their heads: and all may know that those things, whereof they were informed concerning thee, are nothing; but that thou thyself also walkest orderly, and keepest the law.
25 As touching the Gentiles which believe, we have written and concluded that they observe no such thing, save only that they keep themselves from things offered to idols, and from blood, and from strangled, and from fornication. 26 Then Paul took the men, and the next day purifying himself with them entered into the temple, to signify the accomplishment of the days of purification, until that an offering should be offered for every one of them.
27 And when the seven days were almost ended, the Jews which were of Asia, when they saw him in the temple, stirred up all the people, and laid hands on him,
28 Crying out, Men of Israel, help: This is the man, that teacheth all men every where against the people, and the law, and this place: and further brought Greeks also into the temple, and hath polluted this holy place.
29 (For they had seen before with him in the city Trophimus an Ephesian, whom they supposed that Paul had brought into the temple.)
30 And all the city was moved, and the people ran together: and they took Paul, and drew him out of the temple: and forthwith the doors were shut.”

And Paul arrived in Jerusalem; testified to the congregation of the elders the greatness of the works of GOD through him, in saving souls, both to the Greek and the Jews. The elders were immensely moved with thanksgiving,  and in glorifying The LORD, they instructed Paul what he must do; which Paul never had issue in obeying what was told of the elders for him to do.

But the elders’ commending words for his works, did not suffice the intense hatred of some Jews who were moved with jealousy; whom from the beginning of Paul’s ministerial journey have been disputing him about their accusation against Paul, of what they understood was, Paul had then been disregarding the law of Moses; as Paul teach zealously about the redeeming grace of GOD.
That he suffered both physical and emotional  hurts inflicted to him, as they with enrage, attacked Paul; beating him and harshly pushing him out of the temple.

This implied to us all, who were called to serve, that our good deeds in CHRIST’s service, will not always be accepted by the majority; for some, who will be moved with envy or jealousy, will cause us harm, physically, emotionally and even mentally.

Nevertheless, as  the words itself declared thatPaul might have been hurt;  the comforting presence of the HOLY SPIRIT strengthen his heart.

So we also, as we know and have the understanding that we were called and anointed to serve, we must always be reliant to, and must recognize the comforting presence of The HOLY SPIRIT; for His gentle nudging will keep our hearts and mind wholly settled in the faith of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, even in the time of crisis, difficulties and adversities.
It is what Paul has written in Philippians 4:4-7 KJV

“4 Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

May the HOLY SPIRIT’s moving be our guide as we strive to serve our Loving GOD; our Mighty LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST.

Acts 21:31-40 KJV
“31 And as they went about to kill him, tidings came unto the chief captain of the band, that all Jerusalem was in an uproar.
32 Who immediately took soldiers and centurions, and ran down unto them: and when they saw the chief captain and the soldiers, they left beating of Paul.
33 Then the chief captain came near, and took him, and commanded him to be bound with two chains; and demanded who he was, and what he had done.
34 And some cried one thing, some another, among the multitude: and when he could not know the certainty for the tumult, he commanded him to be carried into the castle. 35 And when he came upon the stairs, so it was, that he was borne of the soldiers for the violence of the people.

36 For the multitude of the people followed after, crying, Away with him.
37 And as Paul was to be led into the castle, he said unto the chief captain, May I speak unto thee? Who said, Canst thou speak Greek?
38 Art not thou that Egyptian, which before these days madest an uproar, and leddest out into the wilderness four thousand men that were murderers? 39 But Paul said, I am a man which am a Jew of Tarsus, a city in Cilicia, a citizen of no mean city: and, I beseech thee, suffer me to speak unto the people.
40 And when he had given him licence, Paul stood on the stairs, and beckoned with the hand unto the people. And when there was made a great silence, he spake unto them in the Hebrew tongue, saying,”

Paul was about to be killed by the angry Jews by beatings; when salvation came through the Roman Centurion, who decided that he should be brought to the palace bounded: thus, saved him from crowd’s riotous beatings, inquired from him to investigate as well, the cause of that tumultuous uproar.
Yet Paul, still in his sound mind seek permission from the chief captain to speak and give light to the reason of his zealousness in teaching the Gospel of the grace of GOD.

Thoughts we must learn from this chapter:

• The dreadful atrocities Paul suffered from the hand of his persecutors, was not from his wrong doings, but for the sake of the spreading of the Gospel of The LORD JESUS.
• The depraved attacking of the Jews to Paulsignifies the spiritually deprived conditionof mankind; without natural affection but ever thirsty of the blood of the righteous.
• The delivering action of the hand of GOD, not only saved Paul but sustained his weakened body; that he had been able to still speak calmly and precisely; silenced even the chaotic crowd’s uproar.
• The destructive attempt of the enemy of the gospel to stop the spreading of GOD’s words has been severe before, that now in our present time, it’s the familiarity, fogginess and fallibility of the word of GOD, the devil is trying to use by making counterfeit translations and raising false teachers,  Paul named as wolves; to confuse and corrupt the mind of the people, so that they will take GOD’s warnings for granted, even now majority are; setting it aside as if it is of no importance; aif it is not a matter of life and death’s ultimate purpose.

Be aware! All of the enemy’s method were already been used: it’s now the availability of all information flooding all over social medias and means to captivate human’s attention, so that everyone will be so busy for every flagrantly interesting information, that no one will have time to even listen to the preaching of sound words.

Let the will of The LORD be done throughout the world!

May we be watchful; that while we witness what is going on around, we are all confidently prepared to share GOD’s words, as well as to face whatever comes along; be it the source of our dcausing us discomfort.

Let GOD’s still small voice through His HOLY SPIRIT be heard in our solitude that we all, will take heed to meditate the instruction of JESUS CHRIST our LORD.

Good morning
