13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead.

The Apostle of the Gentiles

Romans 11:1-8 KJV

“I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.

2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew. Wot ye not what the scripture saith of Elias? how he maketh intercession to God against Israel, saying,

3 Lord, they have killed thy prophets, and digged down thine altars; and I am left alone, and they seek my life.

4 But what saith the answer of God unto him? I have reserved to myself seven thousand men, who have not bowed the knee to the image of Baal.

5 Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace.

6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then is it no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

7 What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded

8 (According as it is written, God hath given them the spirit of slumber, eyes that they should not see, and ears that they should not hear;) unto this day.”

The election according to Paul pertains to the Jews; whom GOD have chosen from the seed of Abraham, whom the LORD has chosen to be the vessel of His grace for the salvation of the world. However, only the remnants victoriously made it to GOD’s abode; not because GOD determined it; but because of the hardness of the heart of many; the cause of their destruction, which GOD Himself allowed.

Apostle Paul is the very example of the chosen vessel of GOD, from among His chosen people. He is a Jew, an Israelite by birth, an Hebrew by practice, a Pharisee, one among the renown ruler of the Jew, but also a Roman born in Tarsus, which is a part of the Roman province. His root in Jewish belief was authentic, that he has been the feared persecutor of the disciples and the newly converted followers of the rumored resurrected JESUS the CHRIST. His conversion to the faith in CHRIST has been one of the most significant, miraculous work of the LORD after His ascension. For he was personally called by JESUS to be the apostle to the Gentiles; proof is that he wrote almost half  of the new testament book, including this Book of Romans; to give us a clear instruction on how a Gentile Christian believer ought to live.

An example for us all to follow, whom are among the Gentiles, whom  GOD called and chosen to be the vessel of His grace to others.

Because GOD would not be willing that any should perish; but because of the hardness of the heart of many, the example also is His own beloved people, who have chosen to follow the alluring wickedness of the devil,  that The Almighty Father GOD hardened their heart the more; reserving them to receive their recompense of His wrath on that day of His righteous judgement.

May all of us too, like Paul,  will come to realize the depravity of our humanity one day; that whatever goodness we do, it will never reach the holiness of GOD, unless we call upon GOD in the name of JESUS CHRIST, and cleave to His faith which is the only acceptable service offering The LORD GOD of heaven and earth will gladly accept.

Take time to meditate GOD’s words from the King James Bible and listen to the sound preaching of  the Gospel.

Talk to the LORD in prayers and confess to Him all of your sins and unbelief, ask forgiveness, and accept His gift of salvation through JESUS death, burial and resurrection.

Tend to seek on how you will grow your faith according to the faith of the LORD JESUS CHRIST your Savior.

Testify about His saving grace, His unfailing love, and the hope you have in Him.

Be rooted among the elected according to GOD’s amazing grace!

Romans 11:9-15 KJV -

9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.

11 I say then, Have they stumbled that they should fall? God forbid: but rather through their fall salvation is come unto the Gentiles, for to provoke them to jealousy.

12 Now if the fall of them be the riches of the world, and the diminishing of them the riches of the Gentiles; how much more their fulness?

13 For I speak to you Gentiles, inasmuch as I am the apostle of the Gentiles, I magnify mine office:

14 If by any means I may provoke to emulation them which are my flesh, and might save some of them.

15 For if the casting away of them be the reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them be, but life from the dead?

“The chosen people have not obtained  what they are looking for, but through the election, the elected obtained it, and the rest remained blinded.”

This was what Apostle Paul wrote  in verse 7 “What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for; but the election hath obtained it, and the rest were blinded,”

Even GOD’s chosen anointed King David himself spake bitterly against them who have  gone stray by going against GOD’s will.

“9 And David saith, Let their table be made a snare, and a trap, and a stumblingblock, and a recompence unto them:

10 Let their eyes be darkened, that they may not see, and bow down their back alway.”

Nevertheless, Apostle Paul took the waging war of his people against his profession of his faith, as GOD’s blessed anointing upon him, to have obtained GOD’s election as being called to be an apostle to the Gentiles. For if his people have not fiercely casted him away to be killed, he would never have left to Rome to appeal his case to Caesar, but continued serving them as among the converted believing Pharisees. This make sense to us now; that we who believed have understood  that:

Apostle Paul was elected to be the only called apostle for us Gentile people.

He has given emphasis through his epistle that he was personally chosen by GOD to be our apostle.

He specifically elaborated through his epistle that the LORD’s anointing to him caused his people to be provoked to jealousy against him, being called to be the apostle of  the Gentile people.

Thus, this should not make us to be proud about our election as being called and chosen by GOD, to be among His beloved. But the more, we must fill our heart with understanding about the love of GOD, to reach out to the lost, and give honor to them whom are among GOD’s chosen people, which may have turned themselves to believe the Only Begotten Son of GOD: JESUS the CHRIST.

Surely, GOD has a plan for everything that happened. Therefore whether it be good or bad, received or not, let us not turn our back. But let us continue pursuing the high calling of GOD. Not to be high- minded, but in lowliness of heart, may we keep on growing, glowing and continue going in the service of our Savior JESUS CHRIST.

Romans 11:16-24 KJV

16 For if the firstfruit be holy, the lump is also holy: and if the root be holy, so are the branches.

17 And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree;

18 Boast not against the branches. But if thou boast, thou bearest not the root, but the root thee.

19 Thou wilt say then, The branches were broken off, that I might be graffed in.

20 Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear:

21 For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.

22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off.

23 And they also, if they abide not still in unbelief, shall be graffed in: for God is able to graff them in again.

24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

Herein then, Paul explained how the LORD GOD who have chosen Israel to be His people; that he compared them to be the “lump”, while JESUS the CHRIST as the “firstfruit”, even likened Israel  unto a tree, which “root”(CHRIST JESUS) is holy, and so, therefore, the branch also is holy. v.16

That there were branches which were broken off to give way for us the “wild olive” to be grafted in, to become a partaker of the fatness which is the root’s holiness. v.17

Through these then, Paul reminded us of these things:

the departing or blindness in the part of Israel ( compare to the lump and the branches) happened to give way for us, who are among the Gentile people (the wild olive) to be grafted into the vine( the LORD JESUS who stands for Israel), for us to be among the recipient of His Holiness.

the disposition  to believe in JESUS we made, as we take heed to the salvation offered to us, enabled us to become among the lump even the branches of the vine.

the degree of becoming one among GOD’s people should never become a badge for us to be high-minded nor become boastful and mock the brokenness even the blindness of the unbelieving Israel. For GOD will still avenge for them.

the decision to bring them back again, restore them and grafted them in again is GOD’s. If He enable to grafted us in, it is also in His power  the more to bring them back again.

Henceforth,  Paul incessantly admonished us, even warned all of us who have been called, converted and chosen, to become GOD’s servants among His beloved children to be in lowliness of mind, meek and humbly doing what GOD entrusted us to do. Never think we are knowledgeable and more blessed than the others even more than GOD’s own chosen people.  Let us all be always reminded, were it not for grace, we could never make it to where (CHRIST’s hand), what (children of GOD) and who (chosen and called to serve)we are today.  It is only by GOD’s amazing grace that we were able to do the things we have done for the LORD’s service.

Let the works of our hands, the contents of our thoughts and the meditations of our heart be always give GOD the highest praises. In JESUS’s Name we must always prayerfully plead.

Amen!

Romans 11:25-31 KJV

25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.

26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:

27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.

28 As concerning the gospel, they are enemies for your sakes: but as touching the election, they are beloved for the fathers' sakes.

29 For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance.

30 For as ye in times past have not believed God, yet have now obtained mercy through their unbelief:

31 Even so have these also now not believed, that through your mercy they also may obtain mercy.

32 For God hath concluded them all in unbelief, that he might have mercy upon all.

33 O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out!

34 For who hath known the mind of the Lord? or who hath been his counsellor?

35 Or who hath first given to him, and it shall be recompensed unto him again?

36 For of him, and through him, and to him, are all things: to whom be glory for ever. Amen.

These last verses concluded what Apostle Paul is teaching everyone from his generation even unto our time. He wanted for us not to be ignorant about the mysteries GOD has been doing to His people; that the blindness in their heart  not to perceive the truth about the series of happenings, is the divine plan orchestrated by GOD’s incomprehensible mind. They were not able to see the events that happened within their very presence about what the prophets foretold:

the coming of the Messiah already happened; it is the virgin birth of JESUS.

the crucifixion, the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS is for all of His people’s full salvation

the conversion of the Gentiles in the faith of CHRIST is the extended grace of GOD to other nation; the very act of GOD after the Jews’ rejection to their LORD and Savior.

the calling of the Gentile people, being grafted in the stead of the “broken branch” is not a total rejection or putting away of GOD’s chosen people, but just to make them jealous. For even if they are the enemy of the Gospel, they are still the beloved of GOD the Father. v.28

Therefore, we must be careful not to brag nor be boastful of our salvation; considering always that we have no part in becoming among the beloved of GOD; for it is only by His grace, His mercy and His unconditional love that we come to faith and in the knowledge of Him. That it happened because a Jewish-Roman Pharisee who have been converted to Christianity; was called by the LORD GOD JESUS CHRIST Almighty, to reach out, to rescue and to regenerate a sinner: it is you and me. How amazing Mighty GOD we serve!

What we need to do is to only accept and believe; and we leave everything in the LORD’s hand the rest! He don’t need our help, not even our good deeds is able to make our salvation perfectly complete.

For GOD’s knowledge, wisdom, mercies and even His compassionate love can never be search by even the wisest man’s mind. Nor anybody is able to give counsel to GOD about His loving favor.

And who are we to complain nor question what He is doing? No one, no, never!

We must know and understand: in this world we don’t own anything; if just the desires of our heart, the confession we made after we heard His words of salvation that His grace pour unto us from His throne; preached and taught by Apostle Paul, whom He called to serve.  That according to him  which he confirmed from this chapter, everything belongs to Him, He is in control of all things and His hand is in everything that happens, whether it be for worse or for the better.

Let all glory be given only unto Him!

Good morning!❤️🙏
