The Works of The LORD

September 1, 2017-Friday-#465 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 8 KJV

***When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;***

[1] O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth! who hast set thy glory above the heavens. 

[2] Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. 

[3] When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 

[4] What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him? 

[9] O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!

The Works of The LORD

Praises and Honor and all glory belongs to GOD The Creator of all!

The Psalmist declare the excellent Name of The LORD, Who is mighty in power, yet  mindful of the state of the sinful people; by giving strength to him, who was then considered a babe; whose pleasantry is to drink the milk of the flocks he is pasturing.

It is noted that, David is in his deep meditation and pondering of GOD's mighty works, while staring up in heaven, where moon and stars are contemporarily shining, that his whole beings, much more his thoughts were fascinated by the glorious wonders GOD's fingers have wrought around him; even personally and intimately in him. 

This psalm might have had written after the glorious victory of David over Goliath in their duel, where the giant Goliath was knocked down dead with a single stone launched by this tender aged David in his sling shots.     

It is indeed an overwhelming thought for a young lad who, with his bare hands, holding only a mere slingshots as his weapon, to have overcome in a battle the most feared and dreadful giant such as Goliath. 

It is indeed overwhelming and fascinating thoughts to ponder and meditate the majestic and mighty works of The LORD, who have created the heavens and everything therein, the universe and the wideness of earth. Wherein was He had made the  habitation of the first human, whom He has created a little lower than the angels; to whom dominion from all of His earthly creation is given; to whom also understanding and wisdom is imputed. 

Much more, is the awesome plan of GOD, an overwhelming experience for a simple man to understand his condition, that: 

* after the fall of man,  all of mankind was fallen short of the glory and in the wisdom given by  his Creator,  that his understanding was blinded. 

* that, in our present time, it is beyond the human understanding, to easily grasp the vast and extensive love of GOD, that He had sent His Only Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST, to PROVE to His people the truth about Him, to PREACH to them the condemnation of GOD against their sinfulness, their depravity and hopelessness , and without remission, they are bounded to destruction of hell; yet wonderfully, He has given His Only beloved begotten SON JESUS CHRIST, to PROVIDE way of forgiveness and mercy, even the blessed assurance of salvation, for them who will accept and believe the simple plan of salvation GOD has given to mankind. 

* that we all are compared and likened unto babes ,whom are to be feed by the sincere milk of the word of GOD, so that we may be grow and strengthened thereby; that we may through the power of GOD's words, be able to saved ourselves from the raging snares of the enemy of GOD, the Devil and his angels. 

As it is written by Apostle Peter: 1 Peter 2:2-5 KJV

[2] As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 

[3] If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious. 

[4] To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious, 

[5] Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Let the works of The LORD, our loving GOD, in this world where we live in, be magnify through the lives we live according to His blessed will. 

Let HIS Holy Name be glorified!

[5] For thou hast made him a little lower than the angels, and hast crowned him with glory and honour. [6] Thou madest him to have dominion over the works of thy hands; thou hast put all things under his feet: [7] All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; [8] The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passeth through the paths of the seas. [9] O Lord our Lord, how excellent is thy name in all the earth!
