LORD, Who Is Like Unto Thee?

September 28, 2017-Thursday-#492 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 35 KJV

***All my bones shall say, Lord , who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him? ***

[10] All my bones shall say, Lord , who is like unto thee, which deliverest the poor from him that is too strong for him, yea, the poor and the needy from him that spoileth him?

[11] False witnesses did rise up; they laid to my charge things that I knew not.

[12] They rewarded me evil for good to the spoiling of my soul.

[13] But as for me, when they were sick, my clothing was sackcloth: I humbled my soul with fasting; and my prayer returned into mine own bosom.

[14] I behaved myself as though he had been my friend or brother: I bowed down heavily, as one that mourneth for his mother.

[15] But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea , the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me , and ceased not:

[16] With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth.

[17] Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions.

[18] I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people.

[28] And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.

Thoughts to ponder for today:

LORD, Who Is Like Unto Thee?

The Psalmist have pleaded his cause to GOD as a poor and needy man who is being accused, condemned and hunted by King Saul, in whom he had rendered his loyalty and faithful service.
The strength and talent GOD has given him had he been given all at the service of his beloved king; yet the king's jealousy over him had caused the king to deceitfully run after his life. The king used his mighty men and armory to have him killed. The King, even his generals and his troops pursue him in one accord, as if he is the strong, worst enemy the King of Israel has ever had.
From the book of 1 Samuel chapter 17 until chapter 27 are David's story written. Being a young shepherd boy who has been strengthened by GOD to fight the prideful and haughty giant hero of the Philistine Goliath, whom the hosts of Israel is afraid of, but have gotten his match from the young Shepherd boy David who indeed have killed him; making the shepherd boy David the superhero of the people of Israel. Henceforth, was strengthened by GOD the more, and became the chief general of the Israel's kingdom. Much to King Saul's jealousy, he became the greatest among the best to became the closest friend knitted in the heart of the king's son Jonathan. David then has became the center of the deadly jealousy of  King Saul who attempted to kill him instantaneously while he is faithfully serving him. The king's wrath grievously grow against him, that,  together with King Saul's three thousand armies, he relentlessly and inexhaustibly pursuit after David's life, from the wilderness unto the mountainous place where David hid himself; who have nothing to hold on to, and to depend him from the raging wrath of his enemies but GOD; his Mighty Savior and Depender.

This psalm of David tells us his helpless condition and sufferings; foretelling the likeness of how Christ has to suffered against the hands of His very own people and His enemies, the persecution of the church and the sufferings that would come to happen individually to some faithful believers from generations to our  present world.
But the Psalmist confidently and incessantly encourage and admonish every believers  through his psalms, that there is no one in this world whom can be likened unto the Mighty power and the saving Grace of The LORD.
All those who faithfully and wholeheartedly placed their trust, hope and confident unto GOD, whose love and mercy is everlasting were and are secured. Having the Holy Spirit within them, who convict, quickened, and vindicate the humble, the lowly, the meek; even them who sorrowed unto repentance. 2 Corinthians 7:10
LORD, who is likened unto you?
Not one in this earth among men can be likened unto You, Who makes your saved and beloved people as your own begotten children safe and secured in your love through your Son Jesus Christ.

Just as Apostle Paul has written:
Romans 8:35-39 KJV
[35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. [37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, [39] Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Let the same shall be our personal prayer:

Thank you GOD our Heavenly Father for the blessed assurance we have in You. Let your Name be known unto all the whole world, that they may fear you and worship you as the Only True GOD and Savior in the Most precious and Holy Name of your beloved Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST. Let the power of Your Holy Spirt within us reveals to each human the truth about you, through us; through our obedience in your commandments, which will manifest in the words we speak and communicate, through the works we did, even the testimonies of meekness and humilities in our lives we live. All this I pray, in Jesus Christ name. AMEN!

Good morning!

Psalm 35:1-28 KJV

[1] Plead my cause , O Lord , with them that strive with me: fight against them that fight against me. [2] Take hold of shield and buckler, and stand up for mine help. [3] Draw out also the spear, and stop the way against them that persecute me: say unto my soul, I am thy salvation. [4] Let them be confounded and put to shame that seek after my soul: let them be turned back and brought to confusion that devise my hurt. [5] Let them be as chaff before the wind: and let the angel of the Lord chase them . [6] Let their way be dark and slippery: and let the angel of the Lord persecute them. [7] For without cause have they hid for me their net in a pit, which without cause they have digged for my soul. [8] Let destruction come upon him at unawares; and let his net that he hath hid catch himself: into that very destruction let him fall. [9] And my soul shall be joyful in the Lord : it shall rejoice in his salvation. [15] But in mine adversity they rejoiced, and gathered themselves together: yea , the abjects gathered themselves together against me, and I knew it not; they did tear me , and ceased not: [16] With hypocritical mockers in feasts, they gnashed upon me with their teeth. [17] Lord, how long wilt thou look on? rescue my soul from their destructions, my darling from the lions. [18] I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people. [19] Let not them that are mine enemies wrongfully rejoice over me: neither let them wink with the eye that hate me without a cause. [20] For they speak not peace: but they devise deceitful matters against them that are quiet in the land. [21] Yea, they opened their mouth wide against me, and said, Aha, aha, our eye hath seen it . [22] This thou hast seen, O Lord : keep not silence: O Lord, be not far from me. [23] Stir up thyself, and awake to my judgment, even unto my cause, my God and my Lord. [24] Judge me, O Lord my God, according to thy righteousness; and let them not rejoice over me. [25] Let them not say in their hearts, Ah, so would we have it: let them not say, We have swallowed him up. [26] Let them be ashamed and brought to confusion together that rejoice at mine hurt: let them be clothed with shame and dishonour that magnify themselves against me. [27] Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favour my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the Lord be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant. [28] And my tongue shall speak of thy righteousness and of thy praise all the day long.
