The Fear of The LORD

September 27, 2017-Wednesday-#491 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 34 KJV

***Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the LORD .***

[4] I sought the Lord , and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

[6] This poor man cried, and the Lord heard him , and saved him out of all his troubles.

[7] The angel of the Lord encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

[8] O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

[9] O fear the Lord , ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

[10] The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the Lord shall not want any good thing .

[11] Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord .

[12] What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good?

[13] Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile.

[14] Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

[15] The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

[16] The face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

[18] The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.

Words to ponder for today:

The Fear of The LORD

"V.11 Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord ."

These calligraphy of the Psalmist has given us more of his challenging, calling and comforting words. It was through his personal testimony that he was able to conferred to us, that seeking GOD in prayers  is deliverance;v. 4.
Hence,:
*The Fear of The LORD is protection. v. 4,7
* The fear of The LORD is purification v.5
* The   Fear of The LORD is provision. v. 6,10
* The Fear of The LORD is peacefulness v. 17,19

The Psalmist also confirmed to us that the saints should put their full trust in the LORD for He Only is our Deliverer, Defender, and He alone is the Destroyer of evil. V.16
He also signified the asseveration, affirmation, and assurance  about GOD's salvation and His divine protection to them who fears GOD.
Moreover, He convoked us to try to look upon GOD's saving grace; taste the goodness of The LORD;  teach our children the fear of the LORD, talk about His Mighty creation and testify to all souls His grace, mercy compassion and charity.

Apostle Paul has written in His epistle GOD's blessed assurance of adoption to all who have received The LORD JESUS CHRIST as their personal LORD and Savior:Romans 8:14-18 KJV
[14] For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.
[15] For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
[16] The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:
[17] And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him , that we may be also glorified together.
[18] For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.

Though we belong to the heirs according to the promised adoption, we may not be exempted to sufferings, trials and temptations. But GOD's bountiful mercies and graciousness will keep us; that even if we fail Him, His abounding love shall make a way for us to be kept away from the destructive devil's snares. It may hurt us, but surely, it will bring us back to the fear of The LORD , even within the sweet fellowship of our Loving LORD.

 1 Corinthians 10:13 KJV
[13] There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

He keep on calling us His children:
Come, ye children, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord ."

The LORD's daily bountiful grace abound!
Good morning!

Psalm 34:1-22 KJV

[1] I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. [2] My soul shall make her boast in the Lord : the humble shall hear thereof , and be glad. [3] O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together. [4] I sought the Lord , and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears. [5] They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed. [17] The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. [18] The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. [19] Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. [20] He keepeth all his bones: not one of them is broken. [21] Evil shall slay the wicked: and they that hate the righteous shall be desolate. [22] The Lord redeemeth the soul of his servants: and none of them that trust in him shall be desolate.
