September 21, 2017-Thursday-#485 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 28 KJV
***The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.***
[1] Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit.
[2] Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle.
[3] Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.
[6] Blessed be the Lord , because he hath heard the voice of my supplications.
[7] The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him.
[8] The Lord is their strength, and he is the saving strength of his anointed.
[9] Save thy people, and bless thine inheritance: feed them also, and lift them up for ever.
Words to ponder for today:
My Strength and My Shield
Heretofore, the Psalmist declared his total reliance upon The GOD of his salvation.
One cannot proclaim such, if there is no personal encounter nor hadn't experienced an answered prayers.
But all should know that every prayers we uttered are being answered. Those who had not experience prayers being answered should be mindful of their spiritual status.
First, you should know who are you in the sight of GOD; pause for a moment and subject to self evaluation.
If you are really listening to That still small voice speaking within, you obey what it said rather than trying to make GOD as a magician or a genie who will obey your command and grant your wishes according to your desired answer.
Sometimes The LORD allowed untoward circumstances for us to know we are not the one in control of everything in this life.
As The Psalmist pleaded to GOD to listen to his cry and hear his voice through his psalm, is indicative that he is in deep need of a Mighty Helper; Mightier than his foes even evil forces that may allure him to do wickedly.
This just implies to us that we cannot be so sure of what the future may bring or lead us. But if there is GOD who guides, leads and direct our path, it is certain we can be sure of a comforting peace. That even if what we expect turns out to be against our will, we calmly and patiently accept within ourselves: LORD, let your will be done ..
What a privilege to become a child of GOD.
For I know within me that with my GOD, I am helped. For I know that He is my strength when I am weak, and my shield against any attack of the enemy as well as calamities.
For in wholly trusting Him, the life that was once rejected has been changed into a life of rejoicing.
I can now testify the goodness of The LORD, for He helped me in times of trouble and wanting, and now set me up upon a rock where no storm nor floods can tossed me away from His blessed will .
Thanks be to GOD my strength and my shield, for He answered all of my prayers!
I hope you experience the same.🙏❤️
Good morning!
Psalm 28:1-9 KJV
[1] Unto thee will I cry, O Lord my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit. [2] Hear the voice of my supplications, when I cry unto thee, when I lift up my hands toward thy holy oracle. [3] Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts. [4] Give them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavours: give them after the work of their hands; render to them their desert. [5] Because they regard not the works of the Lord , nor the operation of his hands, he shall destroy them, and not build them up.
