September 22, 2017-Friday-#486 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 29 KJV
***Give unto the LORD the glory due unto his name; worship the LORD in the beauty of holiness.***
[1] Give unto the Lord , O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength.
[2] Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.
[3] The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters.
[4] The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
[11] The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Words to ponder for today:
Give Unto The LORD The Glory Due Unto His Name
"[1] Give unto the Lord , O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength."
This imperative song of The Psalmist exhorts the people; much more the mighty, to give glory and strength due unto The LORD.
This does not mean the mighty shall give The LORD honor and strength because He do not have them; but because they should know they are to yield to Him theirs.
Verse 3-9 declares the attributes of GOD and the power of His voice. That no man is as powerful as The LORD who have done great and mighty works just by the power of His words.
That GOD The Son, in all His power and glory, have receded and gave off His glory; leaving off His throne and His majesty. Was born in a manger by a young virgin named Mary, and was raised by his earthly adopted father, named Joseph; an ordinary carpenter whom the bible said in Matthew 1:9, a just man; submitted to the will of his earthly parents. Do The will of His Heavenly Father, lived and walked among men, heal the sick, raised the dead, forgave the sins of even the vilest human, taught them the Truth about GOD, and repentance for The Kingdom of GOD is at hand. Was rejected, mocked, spat upon, despised as they crowned Him with thorns, was crucified and suffered death on that rugged cross.
Notwithstanding, He overcome death; for after three days, He arose from the death and raised up to heaven; witnessed by many; was preached by the Apostles, bringing us now the gospel of salvation through His death, burial and resurrection.
Isn't His greatness succeeded all human attempt to create their own glory and power? Aren't we all should give all of our glory, and honor and strength unto Him alone? HE who is now seated on the right hand of GOD, deserves our worship; that we should give to Him all our glory and strength. For HE as the Giver of our lives, even the opportunity to gain wealth. And as the truth that He is the Giver of life, it is also of the truth that God alone is the One who can take it. He, who came in The Name of JESUS CHRIST, who holds everything in His hand, is The Only Way, The Only Truth and The Only Life, and that no one is able to make it to GOD The Father, but by Him alone. John 14:6.
Let not manmade ideas of worship wasted your glory, (which you gained as The LORD have given you time for you to accumulate and earn wealth and finances),your honor;(which is your knowledge and understanding, which enable you to gain wealth) and strength, (which was given to you by GOD, The Giver of your life, to whom your praises, honor and glory should be returned) .
The LORD JESUS CHRIST teach this manner:
Luke 12:15-21 KJV
[15] And he said unto them, Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth.
[16] And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully: [17] And he thought within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have no room where to bestow my fruits? [18] And he said, This will I do: I will pull down my barns, and build greater; and there will I bestow all my fruits and my goods.
[19] And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.
[20] But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?
[21] So is he that layeth up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.
Make yourself strong; earn riches and finances and let it be your glory. But worship and give due honor unto GOD with your strength and glory.
Give to Him your glory and strength as your rendition of service unto Him
Give them ONLY to GOD and The LORD JESUS CHRIST; The Mighty Giver of our lives.
Good morning!
Psalm 29:1-11 KJV
[1] Give unto the Lord , O ye mighty, give unto the Lord glory and strength. [2] Give unto the Lord the glory due unto his name; worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. [3] The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory thundereth: the Lord is upon many waters. [4] The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty. [5] The voice of the Lord breaketh the cedars; yea, the Lord breaketh the cedars of Lebanon. [6] He maketh them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young unicorn. [7] The voice of the Lord divideth the flames of fire. [8] The voice of the Lord shaketh the wilderness; the Lord shaketh the wilderness of Kadesh. [9] The voice of the Lord maketh the hinds to calve, and discovereth the forests: and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory. [10] The Lord sitteth upon the flood; yea, the Lord sitteth King for ever. [11] The Lord will give strength unto his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
