September 23, 2017-Saturday-#487 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 30 KJV
***For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.***
[1] I will extol thee, O Lord ; for thou hast lifted me up, and hast not made my foes to rejoice over me.
[2] O Lord my God, I cried unto thee, and thou hast healed me.
[3] O Lord , thou hast brought up my soul from the grave: thou hast kept me alive, that I should not go down to the pit.
[4] Sing unto the Lord , O ye saints of his, and give thanks at the remembrance of his holiness.
[5] For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
[6] And in my prosperity I said, I shall never be moved.
[7] Lord , by thy favour thou hast made my mountain to stand strong: thou didst hide thy face, and I was troubled.
[8] I cried to thee, O Lord ; and unto the Lord I made supplication.
Thoughts to ponder for today:
Weeping May Endure For A Night, But Joy Cometh In The Morning.
The Psalmist ardent passion to glorify His GOD seems to be so contagious, that as I read this psalm, my whole heart, mind and soul compelled me to also give praises and thanksgiving unto GOD; personally taking this psalm within me.
I can't help it, but my thought bring back the past difficulties and struggles I have gone through; when I am vehemently seeking for an answer to the question of why life has been so hard and absurd to me. Then GOD's loving kindness came to me. He talk to me in a very especial way using this verses:
John 14:6 KJV
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Genesis 18:14 KJV
[14] Is any thing too hard for the Lord ? At the time appointed I will return unto thee,...
The Psalmist fervency in glorifying His GOD in the midst of his people, makes my heart to be ashamed, because I know, I haven't yet attain even a portion of his boldness in declaring the mercy, grace and the goodness of The GOD whom I believe and call upon, to all of my own people.
I hope to be more exuberant in extolling GOD within my heart, mind and soul, in my speaking, in my service and in my testimony as long as I live. For yes, in death, I cannot praise Him anymore, I cannot show fort His wondrous works, when he had snatch me away from the hands of oppressors and lifted me up against my enemies; I cannot testify how He lifted me up from the miry clay I have been once wallowing.
I hope to do more for GOD, I hope that I will be more responsive in His prompting, so that the rendition of my service will be more acceptable to Him and become a sweet savor unto His sight.
Indeed The True and Loving GOD our Father's anger endures for a moment, when we sin against HIM. But in His favor is life; so much more when we repented from our sin, pour out our hearts unto HIM, and cry to HIM in prayers. There may be many nights of tears, there may be years of struggling, but when GOD's mercy and compassion comes along, there is a joy and laughter in the morning and in all the day long.
For if He cares for our soul, How not He will carry us through in all our burdens if we resolute to realize we sin against Him, repent from our sins, reject our own ways to earn His favor, and receive ONLY His Only Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST as our LORD, our personal Savior and Redeemer as the Propitiation for our sins.
Our dear Apostle Paul has written:
Romans 8:31-32 KJV
[31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
[32] He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Let all saints of GOD be nor silent. Let us all testify the mercy, compassion and the saving grace of our LORD and Savior. Let His Holy Name be extoll. Let His praises be heard from our mouth all the days of our lives.
Have a joyful Saturday Morning!
Psalm 30:1-12 KJV
[9] What profit is there in my blood, when I go down to the pit? Shall the dust praise thee? shall it declare thy truth? [10] Hear, O Lord , and have mercy upon me: Lord , be thou my helper. [11] Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; [12] To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O Lord my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever.
