Behold, GOD is My Helper

October 17, 2017- Tuesday-#511 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 54 KJV

***Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.*** 

[1] Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength. 

[2] Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth. 

[3] For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah. 

[4] Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul. 

[5] He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth. 

[6] I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O Lord ; for it is good. 

[7] For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.

Words to ponder for today:

Behold, GOD is My Helper

The Psalmist started this psalm in prayer, then proclaim GOD's strengthening sure help in times of oppressions. He testified how GOD had delivered him out of many trouble and therefore he is confidently assured that He will perform His deliverance unto him; and not only that, them that support him, them that encourage him to be strong, them that stand by him, His LORD shall be with them. 

This is what GOD hath promised to Abraham in: Genesis 12:3 KJV

[3] And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

What a wonderful picture of faith and assurance!

When our eyes is focussed on GOD, there is no trouble we can not overcome. When we walk and stand still waiting for the salvation of The LORD, with those people who have sided with us, support our cause and strengthened us when we are tired, GOD's blessings shall not only be directed unto us, but also to them that uphold us. But to them who despised us, talk mischief on our back, and betrayed us, the wrath of GOD is pour out for them. 

We would just have to firmly trust HIS mighty working power in our lives, as we ourselves strengthen our faith in HIM, testifying how HE had delivered us in all our previous trouble; as we endow them with knowledge of GOD and encourage their heart to love GOD, to learn about GOD, to live in the precepts of GOD. 

They should see the fruit of our trust in GOD; as we patiently waiting on Him; that they shall be able to behold, GOD our helper shall move His hand in time of our need of His providential favor.

Apostle Paul encouraging epistle be in our mind, heart and soul: 

Philippians 4:4-7 KJV

[4] Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. [5] Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. 

[6] Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 

[7] And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Let us be encourage and be strengthen with this song:

There is no problem to big, GOD cannot solve it.

There is no mountain too tall GOD cannot move it.

There is no storm too dark GOD cannot calm it.

There is no sorrow too deep, HE cannot sooth it

If He carry the weight of the world upon His shoulder

I know my brother that He will carry you.

If He carry the weight of the world upon His shoulder,

I know my sister that He will carry you.
