October 20, 2017-Friday-#513 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 56 KJV
***In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. ***
[1] Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me.
[2] Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High.
[3] What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.
[4] In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.
[5] Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil.
[6] They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul.
[9] When I cry unto thee , then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me.
[10] In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word.
[11] In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
[12] Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee.
Words to ponder for today:
In GOD Have I Put My Trust
The Psalmist here expresses his intense pleading for the mercy of GOD. For the fear of the multitude of enemies seems overwhelming to him.
Nevertheless, his previous experiences from the great deliverance and salvation of The LORD, he has made them his comforting assurance.
Because he had known the Mighty power of The GOD in whom his trust is settled, even in the most appalling circumstances wherewith GOD seems to be silent and sundered, there is this blessed assurance that GOD would not fail him.
Calling the name of GOD had been his comfort. He knew right well that his GOD will not utterly forsake him; as it is the Name of GOD and His wondrous works are the subject of his meditations and testimonies.
" In GOD I have put my trust" it is a testifying declaration of faith, because he had tried and tested the Mighty Power of GOD in his life, to Whom his faith is put upon.
If your desire is to walk getting closer with GOD, then your heart mind and soul should be filled with the things pertaining to GOD, that it spills through your conversation, manner of speaking; even the very works you are doing should be driven by your love for GOD. GOD's mighty and wondrous works of The LORD should be the stronghold you are holding onto.
The Apostles writings should be our admonition:
Hebrews 13:5-6 KJV
[5] Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
[6] So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
Let all who professed to be a believers of GOD says:
In GOD I have put my trust.
A blessed Friday morning to all!
Psalm 56:1-13 KJV
[1] Be merciful unto me, O God: for man would swallow me up; he fighting daily oppresseth me. [2] Mine enemies would daily swallow me up: for they be many that fight against me, O thou most High. [3] What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee. [4] In God I will praise his word, in God I have put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me. [5] Every day they wrest my words: all their thoughts are against me for evil. [6] They gather themselves together, they hide themselves, they mark my steps, when they wait for my soul. [7] Shall they escape by iniquity? in thine anger cast down the people, O God. [8] Thou tellest my wanderings: put thou my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book? [9] When I cry unto thee , then shall mine enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me. [10] In God will I praise his word: in the Lord will I praise his word. [11] In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me. [12] Thy vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto thee. [13] For thou hast delivered my soul from death: wilt not thou deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?
