This Vine

November 15, 2017-Wednesday-#537 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 80 KJV

***Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;***

[1] Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth.

[3] Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

[14] Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine;

[15] And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself.

[17] Let thy hand be upon the man of thy right hand, upon the son of man whom thou madest strong for thyself.

[18] So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

[19] Turn us again, O Lord God of hosts, cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved.

Words to ponder for today:

This Vine

A Prophetic Psalm of Asaph

"....O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine; "

This Psalm signify the work of GOD, as He is about to forsake the "Man of His Right Hand" The Son of man, JESUS CHRIST, The One who had called Himself "the vine".
John 15:5 KJV
[5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.

Indeed! GOD has forsaken His very own Son. For He, Philippians 2:6 KJV
[6] Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
[7] But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
[8] And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.

Certainly, GOD has had His blessed plan in sending forth His Only Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST.
For who among the natural flesh, even the sinful sons of man is able to perform what He had done?
Who among the great and mighty man is able to offer himself; by bringing this earth's living souls good tidings, heal the sick and the lepers, caused the lame to walk, gave hearing to the deaf, speech to the mute,  brought back to life the dead, feed the multitude, calm the winds and the waves, forgave sins, gave the weary His comforting words, and after all He has done these great and wondrous works , humbly and meekly took it all upon Him all the false accusation of His detractors, the reviling, rejections of those whom He had feed, the shame of being scourge, mock, spit upon, smitten, and was crucified on the cross?

No one. Not even the gods of the heathen could do what He has done.
It is Only the hand of A Mighty yet Loving GOD, who is able to perform all those things  for the sake of His love to His very own people. To whom His breath, the breath of life has been given, so that each one will become like Him, in their heart's desires, will and thoughts; so that the sweet fellowship with Him with mankind be His gladness and joy.
Woefully, the heart which was made out of the clay was easily deceived and conquered by the alluring temptation of His enemy, that all the human seeds became slave to sin. That GOD's holiness once  purged  human's abominations  by exterminating  all the sinful souls through great floods.  yet GOD's loving kindness overflows to human; not willing that any should perish.
2 Peter 3:9 KJV
[9] The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

Nobody is able to stop GOD from being A loving GOD; for He has given the final and ultimate sacrifice through His Own, Beloved Son. His Only Begotten SON JESUS, to become the Son of man, This Vine, in whom all who come to Him should be engrafted and live.

Thank be to His gracious love and  mercies.
We are not totally consumed; for He make a way for us to walk, The Truth from His words for us to know, And The Life everlasting through GOD's Son JESUS CHRIST's death on the cross. That as He was risen from the dead, we who accept, believe and call upon Him, shall not suffer GOD's punishment prepared for  His  enemy;  but as His SON JESUS have risen from the death, we also shall rise with Him redeemed, regenerated,  and restored.

Come to know GOD.
Call upon His Son JESUS CHRIST.
Cleave and be engrafted to This Vine.

Good morning!

Psalm 80:1-19 KJV

[1] Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like a flock; thou that dwellest between the cherubims, shine forth. [2] Before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasseh stir up thy strength, and come and save us. [3] Turn us again, O God, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. [4] O Lord God of hosts, how long wilt thou be angry against the prayer of thy people? [5] Thou feedest them with the bread of tears; and givest them tears to drink in great measure. [6] Thou makest us a strife unto our neighbours: and our enemies laugh among themselves. [7] Turn us again, O God of hosts, and cause thy face to shine; and we shall be saved. [8] Thou hast brought a vine out of Egypt: thou hast cast out the heathen, and planted it. [9] Thou preparedst room before it, and didst cause it to take deep root, and it filled the land. [10] The hills were covered with the shadow of it, and the boughs thereof were like the goodly cedars. [11] She sent out her boughs unto the sea, and her branches unto the river. [12] Why hast thou then broken down her hedges, so that all they which pass by the way do pluck her? [13] The boar out of the wood doth waste it, and the wild beast of the field doth devour it. [14] Return, we beseech thee, O God of hosts: look down from heaven, and behold, and visit this vine; [15] And the vineyard which thy right hand hath planted, and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. [16] It is burned with fire, it is cut down: they perish at the rebuke of thy countenance.
