Vow, And Pay Unto The LORD Your GOD

November 11, 2017-Saturday-#533- Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 76 KJV

***Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.***

[1] In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

[2] In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

[3] There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

[4] Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

[5] The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

[6] At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

[7] Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

[8] Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

[9] When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

[11] Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

Words to ponder for today:

Vow, And Pay Unto The LORD Your GOD

A Psalm of Asaph about teaching in giving.

The LORD GOD who is known in Judah, having His Name Great in Israel is a Giving GOD.
He first created all the human needs and gave the dominion unto Adam, the first man, in whom GOD gave His breath of life.
He is The Living GOD, whom the children of Abraham serves; who have shown mighty, great and wondrous works through him and his seeds Israel. He even established His worship within them that all human flesh  should serve Him in fear and singleness of heart. Nevertheless, it was when sin entered into human reign through the first man Adam, that doubts and disobedience arises against Him.
And GOD's fierce wrath has been poured out unto the kings and the mighty, even to His beloved people who tried to rebel against Him.
Then His commandments has been given to Moses, whom HE anointed to lead GOD's chosen people in whom are to be an example of obedience, in faithful service and in wholehearted giving.
GOD established the twelve tribes. And from them were called the Levites to be GOD's servants who are intended to serve Him without inheritance; for from HIM is their portion provided. Even in the times of Adam, Abel and Cain, Enoch and Noah, an offering was made; for to offer their sacrifices and giving of joy to their GOD who walk with them, watch over them, waited from them their offerings and sweet smelling savor presents which was willingly and wholeheartedly offered.
This is the pattern of the true worship GOD requires. Mighty men who are blessed by GOD, have tendered their services unto their GOD first by giving their whole heart, souls and lives. That the offerings they made had not been a burden to them; that even it was sacrificially given, yet it was offered willfully, wholeheartedly and joyfully, for they knew to Whom their giving of offerings is to be given. For they fully known that it was an offering of their returning every blessings to The Mighty GOD, who has given them everything. The Terrible GOD who have subdued their great enemies under their feet; who is even able  to command the wind, the thunders and lightnings to be at peace through His words for them. The Word of GOD Whom they witnessed performing miracles and great wonders.

Thenceforth is giving the most challenging requirements of GOD. It is easy to say you believe in GOD, yet to prove in giving up your own understanding and embrace His leading through His words is a great question.  Because it is through willful and joyful giving that the heart is tendered and subjectively obedience in GOD's leading. There is a truth in this saying: you can give without loving, but you cannot love without giving. Giving your yes to GOD is far different than loving Him and obeying willfully and wholeheartedly His commandments. Because your action speaks more clearly if your heart goes with giving of your good thing to GOD. It is not only contributing your left overs, but also sacrificially  involving in whatever and wherever your givings to GOD goes.

"Vow, and pay unto The LORD your GOD". This is more of a commandment than admonition. For even ourselves is not our own, it is only lent to us by our Creator. Whatever we have, our strength our whole beings even the breath of life is not our own but it was just partially given to us by our Loving GOD. Let all the glory be return unto HIM.
Apostle Paul taught us from his epistle: 2 Corinthians 9:7-8 KJV
[7] Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give ; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.
[8] And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things , may abound to every good work:

Let us all give to GOD our self first and next our vows. That we may fulfill and pay what we have promised unto Him.

Have a great and blessed day ahead!

Psalm 76:1-12 KJV

[1] In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel. [2] In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion. [3] There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah. [4] Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. [8] Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still, [9] When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah. [10] Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain. [11] Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared. [12] He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.
