December 7, 2017 -Thursday-#558 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 101 KJV
***I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me. ***
[1] I will sing of mercy and judgment: unto thee, O Lord , will I sing.
[2] I will behave myself wisely in a perfect way. O when wilt thou come unto me? I will walk within my house with a perfect heart.
[3] I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me.
[4] A froward heart shall depart from me: I will not know a wicked person .
[5] Whoso privily slandereth his neighbour, him will I cut off: him that hath an high look and a proud heart will not I suffer.
[6] Mine eyes shall be upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me: he that walketh in a perfect way, he shall serve me.
[7] He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.
[8] I will early destroy all the wicked of the land; that I may cut off all wicked doers from the city of the Lord .
Words to ponder for today:
I Will Set No Wicked Thing Before Mine Eyes
Title. -- A Psalm of David.
From Enduring Words Commentary-
"This is just such a psalm as the man after God's own heart would compose when he was about to become king in Israel. It is David all over, straight forward, resolute, devout; there is no trace of policy or vacillation, the Lord has appointed him to be king, and he knows it, therefore he purposes in all things to behave as becomes a monarch whome the Lord himself has chosen. If we call this THE PSALM or PIOUS RESOLUTIONS, we shall perhaps remember it all the more readily. After songs of praise a psalm of practice not only makes variety, but comes in most fittingly. We never praise the Lord better than when we do those things which are pleasing in his sight."
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
It is indeed a blessing to be chosen by GOD to become the ruler of GOD's chosen people. This just means, David is the best among the bests in the sight of GOD.
A promise to be good for a godly leader is essential, however, to put it constantly into action, makes a difference.
When we became the children of The Most Powerful GOD, we are likened unto kings and queens, princes and princesses. We are above all and were given dominion over all things, as our Savior, our LORD JESUS CHRIST have already defeated our enemies.
However, we are in a constant struggle against the devil, whose works is to marred our integrity.
How then shall we children of GOD maintain our integrity?
It is through constant communication with our Creator as we daily devote our selves in reading and meditating upon the precepts of GOD, praying always to Him for our strength and sound mindedness.
This is the only way we keep ourselves pure in the sight of GOD, as we set our heart's desire to know Him more and better.
Knowing who GOD is, helps a lot for a Christian to be sober and be vigilant. Identifying the enemies, resisting their subtlety and empowering ourselves together, to fight against all wiles of the evil through the help of GOD's armor, is a necessity.
It is better to be vigilant hand in hand, and on the offensive side by praying to The Savior Who is able to keep us from all form of the devil's snares; for prayers only has the power to destroy the devils weaponry.
Apostle Paul Admonished us in his epistle:
Ephesians 6:10-18 KJV
[10] Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
[11] Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
[12] For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places .
[13] Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
[14] Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; [15] And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
[16] Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. [17] And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
[18] Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
"I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me."
Let us all have this desires together. For The LORD's sees, hears, listens and answer prayers.
GOD be glorified!
Good morning!
