The LORD said unto my LORD, Sit thou at my right hand,.

December 16, 2017-Saturday-#567 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 110 KJV

***The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.***

[1] The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool.

[2] The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies.

[3] Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth.

[4] The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

Words to ponder for today:

***The LORD said unto my LORD, Sit thou at my right hand,..***

This is the prophetic psalm's introduction of David; the verse which was quoted by The LORD JESUS CHRIST when He asked The Pharisees in  Matthew 22:41-46 KJV
[41] While the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them,
[42] Saying, What think ye of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of David.
[43] He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
[44] The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine enemies thy footstool?
[45] If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?
[46] And no man was able to answer him a word, neither durst any man from that day forth ask him any more questions.

This was I believe brought out by The LORD JESUS, to imply to them His true nature as The Son of GOD, and give emphasis to them His Godhead.
His disciples believed in Him and accept Him as The Son of GOD and the promised Messiah. But some of the called servants of GOD do not believe and refused to accept JESUS as The Only Son of GOD and the promised Savior. They wanted and waited someone else; someone that will fit their ideas of the Messiah they wanted; as they uses " the criteria of Moses' description" as an excuse to refuse GOD's sent Savior. For the Messiah whom they waited, should not arrived yet and have not come yet, as they believed so within themselves.
GOD The Father of JESUS CHRIST Has a plan. His ways are far beyond man' understanding. It take a godly wisdom to grasp the hint of GOD's plan for mankind. He had showed it to them plainly and have spoken to them directly, yet did not believed.
John 10:24-31 KJV
[24] Then came the Jews round about him, and said unto him, How long dost thou make us to doubt? If thou be the Christ, tell us plainly. [25] Jesus answered them, I told you, and ye believed not: the works that I do in my Father's name, they bear witness of me. [26] But ye believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you. [27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: [28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. [29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. [30] I and my Father are one. [31] Then the Jews took up stones again to stone him.

However, their unbelief did not change GOD's plan; all of His Words happened and still happening in GOD's perfect time.
JESUS died, buried and resurrected. Now, He is seated in the right hand of the throne of GOD. All who look up unto Him shall be saved and sanctified for GOD's very own purpose. All who refused shall one day see themselves as the footstool of our LORD.
JESUS CHRIST is The LORD. He will one day come to serve judgement to this erring world. We should now make a choice. Which one will you be: The LORD's faithful  or His footstool?

Be Christ's faithful one , your choice.
Be blessed today by The LORD!

Psalm 110:1-7 KJV

[1] The Lord said unto my Lord, Sit thou at my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool. [2] The Lord shall send the rod of thy strength out of Zion: rule thou in the midst of thine enemies. [3] Thy people shall be willing in the day of thy power, in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: thou hast the dew of thy youth. [4] The Lord hath sworn, and will not repent, Thou art a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek. [5] The Lord at thy right hand shall strike through kings in the day of his wrath. [6] He shall judge among the heathen, he shall fill the places with the dead bodies; he shall wound the heads over many countries. [7] He shall drink of the brook in the way: therefore shall he lift up the head.
