Happy is a That People, Whose GOD is The LORD

January 26, 2018- Friday-#601 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 144 KJV

***Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea , happy is that people, whose God is the Lord .***

[3] Lord , what is man, that thou takest knowledge of him! or the son of man, that thou makest account of him!

[4] Man is like to vanity: his days are as a shadow that passeth away.

[5] Bow thy heavens, O Lord , and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.

[11] Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood:

[12] That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace:

[15] Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea , happy is that people, whose God is the Lord .

Words to ponder for today:

Happy is a That People, Whose GOD is The LORD

“The psalm, in its mingled tones of prayer and praise, is a fit connecting link between the supplicatory psalms which go before, and the strains of thanksgiving which follow it. --Speaker's Commentary.”

This Psalm depicted the wondrous deliverance wrought by The Almighty GOD unto the Psalmist hands, after the latter victoriously won the battle against his enemies.
The blissfulness produces an overflowing joy that yields praises and thanksgiving addressed only to The Good LORD whom he knew and trusted to be the Only Power, which enabled him to be victorious; giving no credit to himself but abasement. To lift up The Name of The LORD his GOD  whom he believed went before him, walked besides him, and watched his back against the attack of his enemies.
It is an overwhelming joy that his consciousness arises : who is he to The Almighty GOD, that He took knowledge of him? Who is he that GOD made an account of him?
From our day to day existence It might also be the question that runs in the simplicity of our mind;  what are we to the LORD? Why does The Almighty GOD who is All Knowing, All Powerful and Sovereign, have to waste His time watching and waiting for the sinful human as we are, to come to Him, to call upon Him and to cleave with Him, who are stubborn, unstable, unbelieving and disobedient to  Him?
What is man to GOD who is not able to comprehend His message through the course of nature? Who are so fragile, yet so proud.  Who lifted up themselves for a small success given to him, yet unable to tame the raging storm, nor the shaking of the earthquake, even to stop the fearsome, destructive volcanic eruption?

Thanks be to our loving GOD who haven’t get tired to reach out sinners like us. Who have made every way for us to know how wretched we are, and that we need A Mighty yet compassionate GOD as He is. Who kept His words from generations to generation, for us to know Him. Who have given us The Meditator and Savior JESUS CHRIST,  in whom after we accept and believe, have given us the privilege to understand the importance of salvation from the destructive fire of hell created for the devil.  For the redemption He has given us, through the death on the cross, and the power we have with Him through His resurrection.

By all means, it is the completeness of all blessings: The knowledge of being redeemed and regenerated is the only source of true and unspeakable joy that overflows.
“[15] Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea , happy is that people, whose God is the Lord.”

Care to know Christ.

Good morning!

Psalm 144:1-15 KJV

[1] Blessed be the Lord my strength, which teacheth my hands to war, and my fingers to fight: [2] My goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer; my shield, and he in whom I trust; who subdueth my people under me. [6] Cast forth lightning, and scatter them: shoot out thine arrows, and destroy them. [7] Send thine hand from above; rid me, and deliver me out of great waters, from the hand of strange children; [8] Whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. [9] I will sing a new song unto thee, O God: upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto thee. [10] It is he that giveth salvation unto kings: who delivereth David his servant from the hurtful sword. [11] Rid me, and deliver me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth speaketh vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood: [12] That our sons may be as plants grown up in their youth; that our daughters may be as corner stones, polished after the similitude of a palace: [13] That our garners may be full, affording all manner of store: that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our streets: [14] That our oxen may be strong to labour; that there be no breaking in, nor going out; that there be no complaining in our streets. [15] Happy is that people, that is in such a case: yea , happy is that people, whose God is the Lord .
