January 25, 2018-Thursday-#600 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 143:1-3,7-11 KJV
***Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. ***
[1] Hear my prayer, O Lord , give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness.
[2] And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified.
[3] For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead.
[8] Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.
[10] Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness.
[11] Quicken me, O Lord , for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble.
Words to ponder for today:
Cause Me To Hear Thy Lovingkindness In The Morning; For In Thee Do I Trust
The Psalmist grieving soul seems to be achingly oppressed and left out of comfort, praying for his deliverance from the hand of his enemies, even GOD’s vengeance and judgement towards them who are his haters. Out of his helpless condition is his pronouncement, that the only hope he have with him is the salvation and the redemptive grace of The LORD in whom he put his trust upon. He confirmed the substantial facts the hopelessness
state of all living souls and their depravity; where nobody is able to stand in the judgement seat of GOD,except a perfect, sinless man became the intermediary to stand as an ambassador between GOD and mankind.
And that man, who is qualified to stand and douse off GOD’s judgement is none other but GOD himself.
The wise and true GOD who was sent by His own Father, The Begotten SON of GOD, JESUS CHRIST, to be The Mediator. Who bore within himself the punishment of sin; mocked and spit upon: reviled, refused and rejected; suffered the cruel death on the cross, without complain. Instead, prayed for the forgiveness of them who hated Him.
Luke 23:34 KJV
[34] Then said Jesus, Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do. And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
Indeed, The Only Man GOD JESUS stands in our behalf to be our Mediator; that we may obtain forgiveness through the faith which He has given us. It is an unfathomable truth to every simple mind, that except a person would come to attain to that saving faith, he or she could not comprehend this incomprehensible love of GOD to mankind.
And that all started from one’s heart’s desire; the prayer of faith that moves the compassionate heart of GOD, to grant a sincere desire, as the Psalmist’s:
“[8] Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee.”
Let this be our earnest prayer each and everyday. For from the sincerity and purity of our motives, The LORD GOD our Father, even our LORD JESUS CHRIST through the prompting of The HOLY SPIRIT, HE is well pleased.
It is a day to day struggle, yet attainable.
Because if it is not put into practice by some in the times of old, Apostle Paul would not have penned it down in his epistle:
Philippians 4:8-9 KJV
[8] Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
[9] Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
Let us all desire to hear GOD’s lovingkindness in the morning, even all of our lives.. and in everything, let us put our trust in HIM, who is the Faithful Witness; our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. To Him be glory forever and ever.
Amen!
Psalm 143:1-12 KJV
[1] Hear my prayer, O Lord , give ear to my supplications: in thy faithfulness answer me, and in thy righteousness. [2] And enter not into judgment with thy servant: for in thy sight shall no man living be justified. [3] For the enemy hath persecuted my soul; he hath smitten my life down to the ground; he hath made me to dwell in darkness, as those that have been long dead. [4] Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed within me; my heart within me is desolate. [5] I remember the days of old; I meditate on all thy works; I muse on the work of thy hands. [6] I stretch forth my hands unto thee: my soul thirsteth after thee, as a thirsty land. Selah. [7] Hear me speedily, O Lord : my spirit faileth: hide not thy face from me, lest I be like unto them that go down into the pit. [8] Cause me to hear thy lovingkindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. [9] Deliver me, O Lord , from mine enemies: I flee unto thee to hide me. [10] Teach me to do thy will; for thou art my God: thy spirit is good; lead me into the land of uprightness. [11] Quicken me, O Lord , for thy name's sake: for thy righteousness' sake bring my soul out of trouble. [12] And of thy mercy cut off mine enemies, and destroy all them that afflict my soul: for I am thy servant.
