January 2, 2018-Tuesday-#578 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Psalm 121 KJV
***My help cometh from the Lord , which made heaven and earth.***
[1] I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
[2] My help cometh from the Lord , which made heaven and earth.
[3] He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
[4] Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
[5] The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
[6] The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
[7] The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
Words to ponder for today:
My Help Cometh From The LORD
As I am reading this Psalm, this persisting thought from this account keeps ringing in my mind. Thus, and from hence, drives my desire to answer this prevailing question:
Why does Israel has to be the focus and always the subject of GOD’s vehement love and redemption, even great salvation from the overwhelming attack of their enemies?
Why does Israel has to be mentioned if GOD’s love to mankind is to be proclaim?
It is because they were the fulfillment of GOD’s promise of blessings to the faithfulness of Abraham, that runs to Isaac and Jacob; that GOD’s desires for them is to be the faithful nation; observing His commandments and serving Him to the best of their ability.
It is because they were personally chosen by GOD to be The bearer of His testimonies, the role model; as to be the recipient of GOD’s bountiful blessings, and to be the heralds of His good tidings to others.
And so they were; as from them came forth the mighty and Great Redeemer Of mankind; GOD’s Only Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST.
In the book of the law from the Bible, is written how their GOD personally interacted with them and gave them His commandments intended and exclusively for them. These were written to be the proof of His intimate relationship with Israel, as the father is to his sons and daughters. This small nation was chosen by GOD to be the receiver of His love and protection. To be the example to every nation that The GOD who created the heaven and the earth is indeed a living and loving GOD. The True and faithful GOD who gave His words and fulfill His promises to them who are called, and are appointed to fulfill His blessed will.
And these were written not only for them, but for them to be shared to us ward, who are among the Gentile nation. That we may also obtain salvation and the heavenly help only from GOD who created the heaven, the earth and the entire universe.
Now that I have already received GOD’s redeeming love and salvation, I can personally say that, my help comes from The LORD Who made the heaven and the earth. And I can boldly and confidently shared with you that, as He has done to me, wherewith He suffered not my feet to be moved, He will not slumber nor sleep if you will call upon Him and trust Him for help. That The LORD GOD whom I trusted, in the name of The LORD JESUS CHIRST, shall preserve you from evil as to me he also did.
This is what The LORD JESUS CHRIST have said in John 10:27-29 KJV
[27] My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
[28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.
[29] My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
Redemptive help and saving grace comes from GOD, The Father Of The LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST. Accept Him, believe in Him and call upon Him. He neither slumber nor sleep, when you cast all your burdens upon Him.
Have a pleasant day ahead!
