The Counsels

February 13, 2018- Tuesday-#618- Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Proverbs 11 KJV

***[14] Where no counsel is , the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.***

[1] A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight.

[2] When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom.

[4] Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.

[5] The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness.

[10] When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting.

[13] A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter.

[14] Where no counsel is , the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.

[16] A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches.

[20] They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the Lord : but such as are upright in their way are his delight.

[21] Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished: but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.

[22] As a jewel of gold in a swine's snout, so is a fair woman which is without discretion.

[24] There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth to poverty.

[25] The liberal soul shall be made fat: and he that watereth shall be watered also himself.

[26] He that withholdeth corn, the people shall curse him: but blessing shall be upon the head of him that selleth it .

[27] He that diligently seeketh good procureth favour: but he that seeketh mischief, it shall come unto him.

[30] The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.

[31] Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

Words to ponder for today:

The Counsels

* v. 1 A fair and just weight or meter GOD is delighted: Do it rightfully so that more profit and blessings shall come in.
But a tampered weighing scale or meter is abomination to The LORD; there is expected curses that can not be avoided to them who wickedly get into it.
- Do not get envious to them who do otherwise. In everything be honest and truthful. Do not be blinded by little or huge gain from corruption which destroy the soul.

*v. 2 proud and haughty are brothers. They always wanted to be praise and lifted up. But The Maker Of Heavens, earth and everything, pull them down together for them to know they are just crafted by GOD; shaming them and lift up the meek, humble and lowly in heart.
- better to be lowly and humble. The LORD GOD in heaven hears listen and sees all.

*v. 4,5 The riches of the wicked can buy a good bed, but not sleep, can buy good foods but not health, can built goodly houses even mansion, but not a home, can buy many friends but not love, able to sustain war with strong weapons but not safety and comforting peace, can buy worldly pleasures but not entrance to heaven. But the perfect in heart unto GOD is able to have all; through the righteousness imputed in them by the mercy, grace and pardon of The LORD.
- get understanding to know how to be perfect and righteous in the sight of The LORD

*v10-12 Through The leadership of the upright and the prayers of righteous, the city, even the whole country gain integrity and honor. The people are encourage to live righteously and with dignity. But through the maliciousness and slanderous tongue of the wicked, the city is destroy.
- be watchful and be connected to The LORD, pray for discernment to stand with the righteous to keep your city ruled by godly leaders.

*v 16-22 A gracious woman retains her honor. She is fond to learn and acquire knowledge, wisdom and understanding. The same way a strong, prudent and righteous man retain his riches; because he is wise to discern that foolishness and wickedness is the destruction of righteousness. Therefore he is careful in his every steps. No matter how good looking a man is, even how much a woman keep her pretty face, if both are void with understanding and knowledge, they are like pearl in the snout of the pig.
- attain to knowledge, learn to have understanding, be connected with GOD for wisdom and be not among the  foolish and wicked.

*v.24,25  The Giver always blessed.
It is more blessed to give than to receive. For The LORD sees, hears and listen; He bless them who willingly give. For He knows that in the heart of the givers are mercy and compassion. As He is the source of life, good health and strength, He is also The GOD, in whom nobody is able to outgive.
- As The LORD JESUS CHRIST said: Luke 6:38 KJV
[38] Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.

*v27-30 To live righteously in the sight of GOD and man, GOD is pleased. People around them, who live uprightly tend to come to Him for counsel. Souls are win from destruction because the righteous shows love and compassion. But the foolish and wicked cannot mend broken hearted people, but make  the burden heavier for the distraught. Worst, they destroyed even their own household.
- be a testimony of righteousness and uprightness in words, in thoughts and in deeds, for it surely will brings peace and comfort not only to your own home, but to them who are weary and about  to perished.

Be admonished by this verse:
[31] Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.

Be one among the godly counsels!

Have a pleasant day ahead!

Proverbs 11:1-31 KJV

[1] A false balance is abomination to the Lord : but a just weight is his delight. [2] When pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is wisdom. [3] The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. [4] Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death. [5] The righteousness of the perfect shall direct his way: but the wicked shall fall by his own wickedness. [6] The righteousness of the upright shall deliver them: but transgressors shall be taken in their own naughtiness. [7] When a wicked man dieth, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perisheth. [8] The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked cometh in his stead. [9] An hypocrite with his mouth destroyeth his neighbour: but through knowledge shall the just be delivered. [10] When it goeth well with the righteous, the city rejoiceth: and when the wicked perish, there is shouting. [11] By the blessing of the upright the city is exalted: but it is overthrown by the mouth of the wicked. [12] He that is void of wisdom despiseth his neighbour: but a man of understanding holdeth his peace. [13] A talebearer revealeth secrets: but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter. [14] Where no counsel is , the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety. [15] He that is surety for a stranger shall smart for it : and he that hateth suretiship is sure. [16] A gracious woman retaineth honour: and strong men retain riches. [17] The merciful man doeth good to his own soul: but he that is cruel troubleth his own flesh. [18] The wicked worketh a deceitful work: but to him that soweth righteousness shall be a sure reward. [19] As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death. [23] The desire of the righteous is only good: but the expectation of the wicked is wrath. [28] He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch. [29] He that troubleth his own house shall inherit the wind: and the fool shall be servant to the wise of heart. [30] The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise. [31] Behold, the righteous shall be recompensed in the earth: much more the wicked and the sinner.
