March 3, 2018-Saturday-#635- Daily Morning Bible Reading and Devotion-Proverbs 28 KJV

***He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.***

[1] The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

[9] He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

[10] Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession.

[13] He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

[14] Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief.

[24] Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer.

[25] He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat.

[27] He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.

Words to ponder for today:

Hearing The Law

What is  The Law that we should hear?

According to Merriam Webster definition:
(1) : a binding custom or practice of a community : a rule of conduct or action prescribed (see prescribe) or formally recognized as binding or enforced by a controlling authority

(2): a. often capitalized : the revelation of the will of God set forth in the Old Testament
b. capitalized : the first part of the Jewish scriptures : pentateuch, torah — see bible

The Law originated from GOD who gave commandments to His people, as the set standard to follow; to obey GOD’s standard for righteous and upright way of living in this life.
However, being the wisest among the wise kings of the earth, King Solomon might have learn many ways of men; even their desires and depravity, that, except they wholly submit themselves to take head to listen and have fear in the law of The LORD, their own ways always lead to evil deeds and wickedness.
It is so, when the first man choose to listen and obey to the deceitful whisper of the devil to disobey the commandments of The LORD in that garden of Eden. GOD had created man perfect for to fellowship with Him. To have man as His partner to rule and have dominion over all the earth. But that dreadful day happened.
And the curse of enslavement to sin has been passed from man’s generation to generations that foolishness is bound even after conception.
Noticeably, even in infant hood is selfishness, stubbornness and self centeredness; that if the parents would not raise them in the fear of GOD, as they themselves were ignorant, then hell and destructions are their destiny.
Nevertheless, The Gracious and Merciful GOD had already made the Only Way, where man is able to walk through Him, with Him and in Him, to them who are willing to obey His words, by giving heed to listen to GOD’s sent Messiah, Whom is His Only Beloved, Begotten SON.
John 3:3,7 KJV
[3] Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
[7] Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.
The Only Way of safety and security; where through faith in Him is His everlasting love given.
John 3:16 KJV
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But to them who refuse to listen hearing The Law; make their own ways, they are deceived; following the cunning craftiness of men, even their own ideas of worship, is accounted wickedness and disobedience; there is the curse of anxieties, hopelessness and without the assurance of GOD’s divine protection.

[9] He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

Their mind is confused; living in constant fearfulness. That their thoughts have not found rest worrying even the unknown and the thoughts of divers circumstances.
[1] The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

Not all prayers are heard and answer by The LORD. One has to submit himself first to the hearing, listening and obedience of GOD’s Law,  before The LORD be delighted in their prayers.
Yes, one might become successful in his or her own ways, but that does not guarantee personal relationship with GOD, which brings peace in the midst of trouble.
Except the living souls  humbly come to realize their depravity and hopelessness, and that they need a Savior; repentantly pray for forgiveness and ask GOD’s merciful pardon, rejected all their ideas of making their own ways of reaching out to GOD, But wholeheartedly receive GOD’s gift of salvation as The Only Way To righteousness in the sight of The LORD, then this change of mind, heart and will, will GOD counted for their uprightness.

You want your prayers be not abomination to GOD?

Have a blessed day ahead!

Proverbs 28:1-28 KJV

[1] The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. [2] For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged. [3] A poor man that oppresseth the poor is like a sweeping rain which leaveth no food. [4] They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them. [5] Evil men understand not judgment: but they that seek the Lord understand all things . [6] Better is the poor that walketh in his uprightness, than he that is perverse in his ways, though he be rich. [7] Whoso keepeth the law is a wise son: but he that is a companion of riotous men shameth his father. [8] He that by usury and unjust gain increaseth his substance, he shall gather it for him that will pity the poor. [9] He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination. [10] Whoso causeth the righteous to go astray in an evil way, he shall fall himself into his own pit: but the upright shall have good things in possession. [11] The rich man is wise in his own conceit; but the poor that hath understanding searcheth him out. [12] When righteous men do rejoice, there is great glory: but when the wicked rise, a man is hidden. [13] He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy. [14] Happy is the man that feareth alway: but he that hardeneth his heart shall fall into mischief. [15] As a roaring lion, and a ranging bear; so is a wicked ruler over the poor people. [16] The prince that wanteth understanding is also a great oppressor: but he that hateth covetousness shall prolong his days. [17] A man that doeth violence to the blood of any person shall flee to the pit; let no man stay him. [18] Whoso walketh uprightly shall be saved: but he that is perverse in his ways shall fall at once. [19] He that tilleth his land shall have plenty of bread: but he that followeth after vain persons shall have poverty enough. [20] A faithful man shall abound with blessings: but he that maketh haste to be rich shall not be innocent. [21] To have respect of persons is not good: for for a piece of bread that man will transgress. [22] He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him. [23] He that rebuketh a man afterwards shall find more favour than he that flattereth with the tongue. [24] Whoso robbeth his father or his mother, and saith, It is no transgression; the same is the companion of a destroyer. [25] He that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife: but he that putteth his trust in the Lord shall be made fat. [26] He that trusteth in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered. [27] He that giveth unto the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse. [28] When the wicked rise, men hide themselves: but when they perish, the righteous increase.
