Idols

March 30, 2018- Friday-#660-Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Isaiah 2 KJV

*** Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: ***

[2] And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

[5] O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord .

[6] Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers.

[7] Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots:

[8] Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made:

[10] Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord , and for the glory of his majesty.

[12] For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:

[18] And the idols he shall utterly abolish.

[20] In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

[21] To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord , and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth.

[22] Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?

This chapter 2 in the book of Isaiah is a prophecy, as it’s beginning are these words:

[1] The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

[2] And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.

[3] And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord , to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem.

Now a days, even in time past, after the fall of  man, most people’s mind became the playground of the devil. None are pure in their thoughts. Their perceptions are dimmed and their understanding are darkened, that they have to make a graven image; a replica of their gods in mind to remind them that they should bow down to worship.
Henceforth was the commandment Of The True GOD given to Moses.  Because The Good LORD is worn out by the hardheartedness and stubbornness of men. And this is the first and foremost of His commandments:
Exodus 20:1-6 KJV
[1] And God spake all these words, saying,
[2] I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
[3] Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
[4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
[6] And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

We may ponder from these questions:

Why did GOD among all the people of Ur of The Chaldees, even from among his brethren called and chosen Abraham and give His promise of blessings and deliverance to his seeds?

Answer: Because GOD sees the heart of Abraham more than other people, who are given to idolatrous way of life and way of worship.

Why did GOD brought out the children of Jacob, the grandson of Abraham to Isaac, from Egypt and strongly remind them not to pattern their lives in the ways of the Egyptians and others?

Answer: Because Of His promise to Abraham that His seeds shall be called GOD’s peculiar people, whom GOD sanctified to be a kingdom  of priest. Exodus 19:3-6 KJV
[3] And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
[4] Ye have seen what I did unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagles' wings, and brought you unto myself.
[5] Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine:
[6] And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.

The very reason why GOD called prophets: to preach and proclaim Him as The Only True GOD and to refute idolatry from the children of Israel; that He is not willing and He cannot be represented by any form of idols. For He knows well that even His own people tend to believe and listen  in every thing they sees and hears. Indeed, people are easily amazed and deceived by every magical, enchantment and familiar spirits performed in their very eyes; which are in truth are evil and are here to deceive people.

Listen beloveds; GOD loves you and He wanted you to know Him in Spirit and in Truth. If not, He would not have sent His Only Begotten Son JESUS to die on that cross for our redemption.
All of them who are given to idolatrous worship, manmade ideas, and likened GOD to graven images are destined to perdition. GOD hates idols and it will never change. It didn’t matter to Him whether you sincerely trust Him or serving Him, yet you are worshiping Him through graven images. For who really sees the truth about how GOD looks and His appearance?
The image you are worshipping is a devil’s tools to bring GOD’s wrath upon you.
Stop believing man who made idols and graven images, even them who leads you to worship falsely; they are taking GOD’s glory in vain but upon them. For that man who breath in his nostrils will also die and face GOD’s judgment.
Whether you believe or not, GOD will pour out His wrath upon all idolatrous people, as He has allowed calamities and great earthquakes to shake nations who refuse to believe the truth about Him.

The LORD JESUS CHRIST has spoken:
John 4:24 KJV
[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
John 14:6 KJV
[6] Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Call upon The Name of The LORD.
Let Him lead and rule your heart. He will open your understanding the moment you put your trust in Him by:
1. Admitting  your sins and Asking for forgiveness from your idolatrous way of life and worships.
2. Believing only In GOD in the Name Of His Only Son JESUS CHRIST.
3. Casting all in the hand of The Almighty which once was pierced on that cross to save you and me.
4. Departing from all form of idolatry and worshipping idols.
5. Entrusting to JESUS CHRIST all of your cares and concerns.
6. Forsaking all of the world’s allurement, enchantment and familiar spirits, and
7. Give your heart, your mind, your soul even your whole life to the Only True GOD and Savior JESUS CHRIST who is the Creator of all.

Have a blissful life with The LORD!

Isaiah 2:1-22 KJV

[1] The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. [2] And it shall come to pass in the last days, that the mountain of the Lord's house shall be established in the top of the mountains, and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it. [3] And many people shall go and say, Come ye, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord , to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths: for out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. [4] And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more. [5] O house of Jacob, come ye, and let us walk in the light of the Lord . [6] Therefore thou hast forsaken thy people the house of Jacob, because they be replenished from the east, and are soothsayers like the Philistines, and they please themselves in the children of strangers. [7] Their land also is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures; their land is also full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots: [8] Their land also is full of idols; they worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made: [9] And the mean man boweth down, and the great man humbleth himself: therefore forgive them not. [10] Enter into the rock, and hide thee in the dust, for fear of the Lord , and for the glory of his majesty. [11] The lofty looks of man shall be humbled, and the haughtiness of men shall be bowed down, and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. [12] For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low: [13] And upon all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, and upon all the oaks of Bashan, [14] And upon all the high mountains, and upon all the hills that are lifted up, [15] And upon every high tower, and upon every fenced wall, [16] And upon all the ships of Tarshish, and upon all pleasant pictures. [17] And the loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be made low: and the Lord alone shall be exalted in that day. [18] And the idols he shall utterly abolish. [19] And they shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, for fear of the Lord , and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. [20] In that day a man shall cast his idols of silver, and his idols of gold, which they made each one for himself to worship, to the moles and to the bats; [21] To go into the clefts of the rocks, and into the tops of the ragged rocks, for fear of the Lord , and for the glory of his majesty, when he ariseth to shake terribly the earth. [22] Cease ye from man, whose breath is in his nostrils: for wherein is he to be accounted of?
