Because of The Shaking of The Hand Of The LORD of Hosts

April 17, 2018-Tuesday-#677-Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Isaiah 19 KJV

***In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it.***

[14] The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.

[16] In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the Lord of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

[17] And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the Lord of hosts, which he hath determined against it.

[18] In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the Lord of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.

[19] In that day shall there be an altar to the Lord in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the Lord .

[23] In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

[24] In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:

[25] Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

Words to ponder for today:

Because of The Shaking of The Hand Of The LORD of Hosts

The Egypt: one of the ancient cities known for its polytheistic practices, which were many times mentioned in bible, have been an instrument of GOD to show compassion upon His people when they cry to Him for deliverance. It serves as: God’s people refuge, GOD’s people seclusion, GOD’s people protector. However, when they turn away their heart from serving GOD, they turn to be their oppressive enemy.
Albeit, The LORD GOD, the Creator and the giver of power and wisdom, leave them alone to defile themselves with their pernicious, idolatrous and vile practices, His justice and holiness could not tolerate their abominable wickedness; that He intended His Prophet Isaiah to warn them of the coming judgement of GOD.

One commentary said:
a. The Lord rides on a swift cloud, and will come into Egypt: Egypt was one of the great powers of the ancient world, and being situated immediately to the south of Israel, it was an empire that Israel constantly had to reckon with. Many times Egypt had been the enemy of Israel, at times Egypt had been a refuge for Israel, and sometimes Egypt offered a tempting but ungodly alliance to Israel. In this chapter, the Lord presents both a prophecy against and for Egypt.

b. The idols of Egypt will totter at His presence: Egypt was known for its worship of many, many different gods. Through His hand of judgment, the Lord will “knock over” these many different gods.

i. “In Isaiah’s day there was no other nation on earth that was so much in the grip of superstition and filthy idolatry as Egypt. Apes, cats, frogs, crocodiles, lizards – everything was venerated by them.” (Bultema)

ii. At the time of the Exodus, when the Pharaoh of Egypt would not release the children of Israel from their captivity, the Lord also made the idols of Egypt to totter at His presence. He directed each of the plagues against a particular idol of Egypt. He knocked over the god Khnum, the guardian of the Nile, the god Hapi, the spirit of the Nile, and the god Osiris (who had the Nile as his bloodstream), when the waters were turned to blood. He knocked over the goddess Heqt, the frog-goddess of fertility, with the plague of frogs. He knocked over the goddess Hathor, a cow-like mother goddess, with the plague on livestock. He knocked over the god Imhotep, the god of medicine, with the plague of boils. He knocked over the god Nut, the sky goddess, with the plague of hail. He knocked over the whole system of Egyptian worship of their gods with loathsome lice and swarms of insects. He knocked over the god Seth, thought to be the protector of crops, with the plague of locusts. He knocked over the god Ra, thought to be the sun god, with the plague of darkness. He knocked over Osiris, the Egyptian god thought to be the giver of life, and the supposed deity of Pharaoh himself, with the plague against the firstborn. God made all the idols of Egypt to totter at His presence before, and Isaiah tells us He will do it again!

The same way The LORD GOD deals with the land now a days, even in all churches.
We witnessed as we see with our own eyes how false religions rise up using  GOD’s name to gain power, but did not teach the truth, godly and wholesome doctrine; but equated The Name of GOD to some form of idols, even gain and sooth sayings and deceive many. Manipulating their mind to believe heretic doctrines that lead souls to destructive, deadly sins.
We witnessed even heard how mighty nations besieged mighty nations through wars, strong and independent nations knocked down by devastating calamities, great and wise hearted people stricken by unnatural, without cure deadly diseases, even demonic abusive wickedness ruled human hearts to oppress and slay innocents. These happens because of the shaking of the hand of The LORD of Hosts.
Howbeit, all evil works will not go unpunished. For GOD’s hand will surely move in His time to put an end to all evil and wickedness.
Notwithstanding, the mercy and grace of GOD, stands sure. For GOD had sent propitiation for even the most grievous sins through the death burial and resurrection of His Only Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST to them who will come and repent. He had made His words easily to be understood for an ensign to them that seek His forgiveness. He established His church that people who come to seek for repentance and true peace with The LORD, be feed and strengthen in faith of Him  not by idolatrous worship,  but by preachings of pure GOD’s words and sound doctrine, leading people into the true relationship with GOD.
Apostle Paul did as he was commanded by The LORD JESUS CHRIST  in Acts 20:21 KJV
[21] Testifying both to the Jews, and also to the Greeks, repentance toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.

But to them who refused and continue their idolatrous worship, they will be likened unto Egypt, whom GOD allowed destruction and would not be reconciled until they turn from worshipping and serving idols, to acknowledge and accept the Truth of GOD throu His written words.
The Lord JESUS have said during His earthly ministry:
 Matthew 7:21-23 KJV
[21] Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
[22] Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
[23] And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Stop, look and listen people!
Graven and manmade images, even if it is the replica of The LORD JESUS CHRIST and all martyrs even His mother Mary, is an idolatrous worship and it invites curses and destructions.

To such turn away and repent.
Admit your sins and Accept GOD’s words.
Believe that Only through the grace of The LORD JESUS CHRIST, through His death burial and resurrection, is salvation from the wrath to come.
Call upon GOD in the Name of His SON JESUS CHRIST only.
Abstain from all forms of idolatry and unbelief.
Be saved today!

Have a pleasant morning!

Isaiah 19:1-25 KJV

[1] The burden of Egypt. Behold, the Lord rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it. [2] And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom. [3] And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards. [4] And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the Lord of hosts. [5] And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up. [6] And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither. [7] The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more . [8] The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish. [9] Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded. [10] And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish. [11] Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings? [12] Where are they? where are thy wise men ? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the Lord of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt. [13] The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof. [14] The Lord hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit. [15] Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do. [20] And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the Lord of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the Lord because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them. [21] And the Lord shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the Lord in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the Lord , and perform it . [22] And the Lord shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it : and they shall return even to the Lord , and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them. [23] In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians. [24] In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land: [25] Whom the Lord of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.
