April 15, 2018-Sunday-#675- Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Isaiah 17 KJV
***At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.***
[7] At that day shall a man look to his Maker, and his eyes shall have respect to the Holy One of Israel.
[8] And he shall not look to the altars, the work of his hands, neither shall respect that which his fingers have made, either the groves, or the images.
[9] In that day shall his strong cities be as a forsaken bough, and an uppermost branch, which they left because of the children of Israel: and there shall be desolation.
[10] Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips:
[11] In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.
Words to ponder for today:
In That Day Shall A Man Look To His Maker
The beautiful city of Damascus of Syria and the region of Ephraim, Israel, shall be destroy and turn to a ruinous heaps. This prophesy is because of their alliance for the siege of Judah.v. 9,10
People, races might come in alliance to destroy the city of David, they might become a great threat and causes fears to both small and great; but the loving GOD of David who is true to His promise does not sleep nor wink. His Mighty Hand is always ready to rescue them, if their king turn to The GOD of their forefathers and turn their back from serving idols and graven images. These were written in the book of 2King 16.
Sometimes, GOD allowed defeat, disasters and distress overcomes His beloved children. He even turn His eyes away from them because of their abominable practices. However, He come to rescue them instantaneously, the very moment they forsook to look upon their idols and images.
Dear children and true believers of GOD, The Creator; idols and graven images, comes in many forms. It is not only those images other religions introduced to their followers. Idols and images are the things that hinders you from coming to hear and listen to the words of GOD boldly preach in every pulpit ordained by GOD.
Those who profess to be a believer of the true GOD should come to worship GOD in Spirit and in truth. The LORD JESUS have spoken it to the woman of Samaria on that day: John 4:23-24 KJV
[23] But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
[24] God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
In John 1:1,2,10-12 KJV, The Word is JESUS CHRIST.
HE came into the world and the world was made by Him, and the world knew Him not.
He came into His own, but His own received Him not. But as many as receive Him to them gave He power to become the sons of GOD even to them that believe on His Name.
There will come a time of great destruction and devastation, and in that day shall a man look to His Maker..
You want to be free from the coming distress and destructions ?
Accept JESUS CHRIST as GOD The Father’s Only Way, Truth and Life for you.
Believe in His words the Holy King James Bible and turn your back from serving idols and graven images.
Call His Name and cast all your cares upon Him for He is alive and cares for you.
Depart from all form of idolatry and,
Enjoy the sweet fellowship with Him and His beloved children in feasting from a bountiful supply of grace He freely given.
Faithfulness is a blessing, from Him, by Him,and in Him alone.
Be blessed today and ever.
Good morning!
Isaiah 17:1-14 KJV
[1] The burden of Damascus. Behold, Damascus is taken away from being a city, and it shall be a ruinous heap. [2] The cities of Aroer are forsaken: they shall be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid. [3] The fortress also shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria: they shall be as the glory of the children of Israel, saith the Lord of hosts. [4] And in that day it shall come to pass, that the glory of Jacob shall be made thin, and the fatness of his flesh shall wax lean. [5] And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm; and it shall be as he that gathereth ears in the valley of Rephaim. [6] Yet gleaning grapes shall be left in it, as the shaking of an olive tree, two or three berries in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outmost fruitful branches thereof, saith the Lord God of Israel. [10] Because thou hast forgotten the God of thy salvation, and hast not been mindful of the rock of thy strength, therefore shalt thou plant pleasant plants, and shalt set it with strange slips: [11] In the day shalt thou make thy plant to grow, and in the morning shalt thou make thy seed to flourish: but the harvest shall be a heap in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow. [12] Woe to the multitude of many people, which make a noise like the noise of the seas; and to the rushing of nations, that make a rushing like the rushing of mighty waters! [13] The nations shall rush like the rushing of many waters: but God shall rebuke them, and they shall flee far off, and shall be chased as the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like a rolling thing before the whirlwind. [14] And behold at eveningtide trouble; and before the morning he is not. This is the portion of them that spoil us, and the lot of them that rob us.
