O LORD GOD Forgive

June 12, 2023- Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Amos 7KJV

[1] Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings.

[2] And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord God, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small.

[3] The Lord repented for this: It shall not be, saith the Lord.

O LORD GOD Forgive

The LORD GOD have shown to Amos how He is about to send pestilence to the land of Jacob, to recompense the stubbornness of His chosen people; in turning their back from His commandments.

But because of the pleading of Amos the herd-man, The LORD compassionately promise to him that He would not let it happen to the land.

But He instructed Amos to prophesy to the king what his plight and his household would be; he surely will face grievous punishment because of  his evil deeds.

And so, after he prophesied what The LORD is about to do to their king, the priest Amaziah reported the prophesying of Amos to the king, and obliged Amos to leave Israel and go to Judah.

This same scenario is also happening in every religion today.

Many religions, particularly those who have made idols and images of “saints” for people to pray to and to be their patrons, are only pretending  to teach godly word; convincing them that those are indeed ways to obtain grace and favor from The LORD. They tried very hard to silence the preaching of the sound doctrine from the King James Bible which is the inerrant, infallible word of GOD.

And the people who blindly obeyed them are so deceived that they have not come to realized that all the natural calamities, disasters  and troubles which came one after the other, are GOD’s wrath poured out in our land.

As Apostle Paul has written: Romans 1:18-23 KJV

“[18] For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

[19] Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

[21] Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

[22] Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools.

[23] And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.”

The bible is given for us to know His words.

We are now in the last days where the sound preaching of GOD’s words are in every corner of the streets; posted in every social media, and in every way possible, GOD’s words is heralding for every people to know that there is indeed a need of a Savior. Because of these yelling truth:

1. That there is a wrath of GOD to be poured out upon the ungodly and to them who refuse to know the truth.Rev. 21:8 KJV

2. That the Word of GOD is indeed JESUS CHRIST the Redeemer and The LORD GOD : The beginning and the end and the Only One who is able to give us freely the water of life. Rev. 21:6, 7 KJV

3.That it is the work of  GOD to have sent His Only Begotten, Beloved Son JESUS CHRIST here in this world to be the propitiation for sins. 1John 1:1-3, 2:1,2 KJV, Romans 5:8 KJV

4. That the will of GOD for all is none should perish but come to the saving knowledge of CHRIST. 2 Peter 3:9-12KJV, John 3:16 KJV

5. That the ways of GOD is for all believers to depart from sinning, from hindering the works of The HOLY SPIRIT and from hardheartedness to seek the ways of GOD. 1 Thessalonians 5:14-22 KJV

The LORD GOD hears the prayers of the faith, the compassionate and those who ask for forgiveness.

Let GOD’s wrath be abated by repenting from our hardheartedness, unrighteousness, worldliness and faithlessness; through sounding from our heart our earnest repentance in prayers, and let the gospel be heard through our mouth, our manner of living and our everyday mind-setting.

Let each one of us take heed to keep on learning His words and the prophecies.

Let our day be blessed.

Amos 7:1-17 KJV

[1] Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me; and, behold, he formed grasshoppers in the beginning of the shooting up of the latter growth; and, lo, it was the latter growth after the king's mowings. [2] And it came to pass, that when they had made an end of eating the grass of the land, then I said, O Lord God, forgive, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. [3] The Lord repented for this: It shall not be, saith the Lord. [4] Thus hath the Lord God shewed unto me: and, behold, the Lord God called to contend by fire, and it devoured the great deep, and did eat up a part. [5] Then said I, O Lord God, cease, I beseech thee: by whom shall Jacob arise? for he is small. [6] The Lord repented for this: This also shall not be, saith the Lord God. [7] Thus he shewed me: and, behold, the Lord stood upon a wall made by a plumbline, with a plumbline in his hand. [8] And the Lord said unto me, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A plumbline. Then said the Lord, Behold, I will set a plumbline in the midst of my people Israel: I will not again pass by them any more: [9] And the high places of Isaac shall be desolate, and the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste; and I will rise against the house of Jeroboam with the sword. [10] Then Amaziah the priest of Beth-el sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, Amos hath conspired against thee in the midst of the house of Israel: the land is not able to bear all his words. [11] For thus Amos saith, Jeroboam shall die by the sword, and Israel shall surely be led away captive out of their own land. [12] Also Amaziah said unto Amos, O thou seer, go, flee thee away into the land of Judah, and there eat bread, and prophesy there: [13] But prophesy not again any more at Beth-el: for it is the king's chapel, and it is the king's court. [14] Then answered Amos, and said to Amaziah, I was no prophet, neither was I a prophet's son; but I was an herdman, and a gatherer of sycomore fruit: [15] And the Lord took me as I followed the flock, and the Lord said unto me, Go, prophesy unto my people Israel. [16] Now therefore hear thou the word of the Lord : Thou sayest, Prophesy not against Israel, and drop not thy word against the house of Isaac. [17] Therefore thus saith the Lord ; Thy wife shall be an harlot in the city, and thy sons and thy daughters shall fall by the sword, and thy land shall be divided by line; and thou shalt die in a polluted land: and Israel shall surely go into captivity forth of his land.
