16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
20 For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness.
21 What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death.
22 But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life.
23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

Romans 6 KJV
"1What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound?
2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?
3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death?
4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection:
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin.
7 For he that is dead is freed from sin."
"Living for Jesus, a life that is true,
Striving to please Him in all that I do;
Yielding allegiance, glad-hearted and free,
This is the pathway of blessing for me.
Refrain:
O Jesus, Lord and Savior, I give myself to Thee,
For Thou, in Thy atonement, didst give Thyself for me;
I own no other Master, my heart shall be Thy throne;
My life I give, henceforth to live, O Christ, for Thee alone.'
Salvation is free, it was made simple and easy.
That people sometimes took It for granted, as if GOD didn’t see.
But the Loving LORD and Savior, offer to all, perfect and free;
So that we do not need to be on that cross; JESUS paid it all, for you and me.
Sin no more has dominion to the heart and soul,
Which received full and free redemption.
The LORD JESUS CHRIST the hope of salvation,
freely offered Himself on that cross once and for all.
Therefore, when one chose to live the old life after sins were forgiven.
There is no more sacrifice to offer, to be cleanse once again.
GOD knows everyone’s heart who don’t and w listen to that still small voice’s whisper;
May The LORD find us faithfully doing His will, while we wait for His coming again.
Romans 6:8-12 KJV
8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him:
9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.
12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
In this life, what we have are the following:
· Choices- we are free to choose the life we live. V. 12
· Consequences- we are free to choose to live in sin, but not free from its consequences. v.1,2
· CHRIST- JESUS CHRIST has been born and lived as we are, subjected to the temptation of the devil, suffered heartaches and nothingness even hunger, but he submitted himself to GOD His Father always in prayers.
He has gone through all of these things to set for us an example to walk this life; not just to live, but progressively it must be this way:
· Accepting Him: JESUS CHRIST as personal LORD and Savior,
· Believing that He alone is able to redeem us from sin,
· Calling to GOD upon His Name in sinner’s prayer is the way our sins be forgiven.
· Decide to follow Him in His ways, words and will, for He is the truth and the only way to
· Enter into life in Heaven.
Hence, sins have no more dominion over us, because we will always rely on Him in Faithful prayers, to help us conquer evil. We may fail him many times, but His abounding grace is enough, if in humility we repent from our sins, ask forgiveness and restore our peace once again.
Let His words guide us walk in His ways every day and ever.
Romans 6:13-17 KJV -
13 Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.
14 For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid.
16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
17 But God be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have obeyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you.
God forbid: has been written twice in this chapter. A strong abhorrence to sinning. Consequently, these gives emphasis to these notions:
· Christians should not continue sinning.
· Chastisement will then follow to all who does. We may fail twice or even many times; but as long as we haven't learned, we will be back to the same untoward situation, getting harder and harder until we learn.
· Conviction is the HOLY SPIRIT’s works; prompting, pricking or even pressing our hearts to obey the instruction through the sound doctrine of the LORD.
· Cleaving to faith is the result of yielding ourselves to GOD; no matter how we fail Him, as long as humility and meekness rule our heart, closer and closer we get to Him; henceforth attracting the grace of GOD to bountifully abound.
Conclusively, it is to whom we obey that becomes our master. So, while we have the opportunity to become useful in the LORD’s ministry, let us take every chance GOD has given us, accepting wholeheartedly with lowliness of mind the opportunity to be used for GOD’S glory. Always be reminded that we are not exempted to be proud, to fail, to become self- centered even self- righteous; giving all the glory to CHRIST who enable us to become a channel of blessings for others to know His love, His forgiveness and His plan for us to be with Him for eternity.
May we always be reminded of the grace GOD has given to us every day, as He also by His grace enable to wake us up every morning; and that we should always be ready to take part in His ministry.
Romans 6:18-23 KJV
18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.
19 I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleanness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness.
We all are servants, as long as we are here on earth. Though there are many attempts of this world to acquire freedom; such as these:
· freedom of speech
· Freedom from oppression
· Freedom of expression
· Freedom to have right to live
· Freedom from poverty
· Freedom to choose
But none of these things were fully achieved by anyone; for everyone is imprisoned by ideologies, thoughts, depression, anxieties even with our own desires to be acknowledged, to feel that our labor is counted, even to be praises for the service we give.
These just proved that all are servants to sin while we adhere to live in righteousness. There are times we are apprehended to do right, because our sinfulness yearns to justify the things we thought right, but in fact, we can’t deny that it harms our souls. And we also are suppressed to sinning, because our conscience constrains us to do the right thing. While we live in this earth, we all are servants that need always to be instructed, direction and guidance.
But there is this servanthood we all must not refuse, that we must yield ourselves for the betterment of our soul: this is to be the servant of JESUS CHRIST The LORD.
For in serving Him is the access to greatness, graciousness, goodness, with faith, and freedom to heavenly living. Not to mention our access to His power, protection and physical and spiritual provision, then peace that passes all understanding. Being GOD’s servant are these unlimited privileges, that we can’t get from even the most grandiose life this world offer.
We just need to know what we have in JESUS to obtain these privileges; we all must be having understanding on these things:
· Salvation accepted from the LORD gives us strength to be a conqueror every day.
· Submission to GOD is our will that produces amazing power to become an overcomer.
· Sustaining Grace is the HOLY SPIRIT’s working; started to change the heart of every believer; who acknowledged that it is GOD who works within us both to pray and to obey His will.
The moment we come to GOD’s perfect plan of becoming His child, all the things that confuse us about Him, every false hope, discouragement, disappointment, even loneliness, self- centeredness, even self- righteousness we can conquer. The simple plan of salvation which Paul has written here, means everything. It is just a matter of choices.
May this verse open the mind of our heart for us to have perfect understanding of what CHRIST did to redeem us from the punishment of sin:
“23 For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”
Good morning
