The Seed, The Election

122325 Meditational Nuggets from the Book of Romans 9 KJV For Mithcah Bible Baptist Church – Bahrain Morning Online Devotional Bible Study and Group Prayer Fellowship 122425 “9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. 10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac; 11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;) 12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger. 13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated. 14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.” Romans 9:1-8 KJV “I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost, 2 That I have great heaviness and continual sorrow in my heart. 3 For I could wish that myself were accursed from Christ for my brethren, my kinsmen according to the flesh: 4 Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory, and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God, and the promises; 5 Whose are the fathers, and of whom as concerning the flesh Christ came, who is over all, God blessed for ever. Amen. 6 Not as though the word of God hath taken none effect. For they are not all Israel, which are of Israel: 7 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, In Isaac shall thy seed be called. 8 That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.” The Seed The Seed was born in the flesh. From the son of Jacob, to whom pertained the promise. The forever blessed people, whom GOD called for to serve. Not only to be the keeper of His commandment, but to be the first recipient of GOD’s amazing grace. That all people who love them will also be blessed. And so, we too became engrafted, who have been born of the Spirit. His birth was known to the world, a day to celebrate. Giving love, forgiveness and exchanging of gifts. A heart full of malice, sorrows and loneliness, Touched by GOD’s love, become gentle and meek. His Holy Name alone have power, JESUS is Mighty to save. The wondering souls’ longings, find comfort and peace. He is indeed a Savior, the Only gift we need. All must accept His offered life, for each one to be blessed! Look! His birth was known to the world, a day to celebrate. Giving love, forgiveness and exchanging of gifts. A heart full of malice, sorrows and loneliness, Touched by GOD’s love, become gentle and meek. Oh you weary, accept Him as your Savior, The Seed of Jacob, JESUS CHRIST the LORD. For you to have peace and sweet rest. Good morning. Romans 9:9-17 KJV 9 For this is the word of promise, At this time will I come, and Sara shall have a son. God forbid. 15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. 17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. The Election Election, from this chapter, explains and speaks how GOD elected Abraham, Isaac then Jacob, who has been chosen by GOD to become a peculiar people, for His purpose; from whose tribe came the Messiah, called the Seed. It is GOD’s Sovereign purpose to established the Abrahamic covenant, according to His will for Abraham, after the latter’s obedient through his faith in GOD: who eventually fulfilled His promise; that his seed will become a chosen people for the LORD. Leviticus 20:26 KJV - 26 And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the LORD am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine. 1 Peter 2:9-10 KJV - 9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: 10 Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy. It is because of Abraham’s faith, which was followed by Moses, then by Joshua, by Caleb, then by David, that GOD was delighted; that the promise of eternal kingdom has been given to his seed. Of which Seed of the Vine JESUS the CHRIST allegorically compared Himself, as He spoken His teachings to His disciples. GOD His Father as the husbandman, He as the vine planted in the tribe of Judah, and those who followed Him among His people became the branches; from which we, from among the Gentiles who believed, have been engrafted. John 15:5 KJV “ I m the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me you can do nothing.” The Seed: GOD’s Only Begotten Son JESUS was born into GOD’s chosen people: the fulfillment of Abrahamic covenant, and became the central figure of the Sovereignty of God to mankind; aware or unaware, whether to them who believe and to all who don’t. We then who accept, believe, and call upon JESUS’ Name, received the adoption even made our election sure; and that after we accept GOD’s gift of salvation, is His promise that nothing will separate us from His love. It is the blessed assurance we have. Romans 9:18-26 KJV 18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth. 19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will? 20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? 21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour? 22 What if God, willing to shew his wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction: 23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory, 24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles? 25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved. 26 And it shall come to pass, that in the place where it was said unto them, Ye are not my people; there shall they be called the children of the living God. Herewith then, GOD: in His Sovereign power take pleasure in giving free will to mankind, even all of His creation: beast, fishes of the sea and fowls of the air. He has given each one to move freely within the perimeter He sets for each one accordingly. Whatever each of His creations intend to do, each one can do according to their volition, their immediate response from the circumstances arises in front of them, according to the capability, even beyond, when necessary (adrenalin rush); sometimes impulsive, sometimes with careful planning. He could have made all of His creation like a robot; and program each one according as how He want everyone to live and move. But instead, He took pleasures in giving life with volition to each one, and see how they acts; like gods themselves with pride; as servants in their humility and meekness, knowing that all have just one borrowed life; creating things which is both beneficial and destructive as well.. From the action mankind did, and sometimes even it contradicted His Holiness, He blesses them with greatness both in strength and wealth, and watch them how people become they are from what He gives. ~ If they become greedy and ungrateful- He gave them more grace for them to realize and repent. ~ if they become grateful and graciously becoming the succorer to some who labors, He blesses them the more. Both He gives recompenses and rewards. He makes everybody know that He is the ultimate GOD and in the end of life, there they will face Him to be judged. As He said which Paul repeated: “18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.” He is letting everyone know He do not need our counsel nor our approval neither we could command GOD: for who are we to question Him what He did and what He is about to do? From His power as Sovereign as His Might, are the blessed assurance we have when we surrendered our will to The LORD and His Word resides in our heart, THAT: • before we are His enemy, but now we are among His beloved. • Before we are enslaved by sins, now we are in His Begotten. • Before we tried to excuse ourselves, but now we are among those who have been bestowed by His bountiful gifts. We must and should be so thankful for the life our Heavenly Loving Father: The GOD who is All Powerful, Sovereign in power The Almighty of both Heaven and earth, has given us. Thanks be to His Amazing Love! Romans 9:27-33 KJV “27 Esaias also crieth concerning Israel, Though the number of the children of Israel be as the sand of the sea, a remnant shall be saved: 28 For he will finish the work, and cut it short in righteousness: because a short work will the Lord make upon the earth. 29 And as Esaias said before, Except the Lord of Sabaoth had left us a seed, we had been as Sodoma, and been made like unto Gomorrha. 30 What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, which followed not after righteousness, have attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith. 31 But Israel, which followed after the law of righteousness, hath not attained to the law of righteousness. 32 Wherefore? Because they sought it not by faith, but as it were by the works of the law. For they stumbled at that stumblingstone; 33 As it is written, Behold, I lay in Sion a stumblingstone and rock of offence: and whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.” Thus, the climactic event then happened more than two thousand years ago. The election of GOD from the seed of Jacob through David’s offspring, has been born a son in a manger. GOD made it that way so that all high-mindedness of the teachers of the law might be brought low. And the ignorance of the unlearned be used for His great blessings to proclaim. A stumbling-stone indeed for all who think they knew better. A Rock of offense to them who think their reasoning and understanding matters. And yes, GOD saved a remnant from the seed of Jacob who now continue to cleave to The Rock of salvation whom is JESUS the CHRIST: GOD’s Only Beloved, Begotten Son. Though very few of them come to the faith of The LORD, for majority still cling to the righteousness of the law. But so soon, as GOD has promised that He will shorten the time; so that many of His people, if not all, will still be saved. This was what Paul has written to his epistle to the Corinthians: 1 Corinthians 13:12 KJV “For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.” He was known by the LORD. He sees through a glass darkly the things that must happen in our generation. He knows in part, but the time come what he knew shall come, just the same trajectory, like what he was and what he become when he has been known. What we should learn to understand: • the promised election has been done. After that perfect is come, no more apostles were called. And for us to have guidelines The Seed, with precision completed His book. • the progression continues to evolve from generation to generation. Though the preaching before is unlikely the way it was delivered now, still the sound word of the LORD continue its sound. • the plan has been laid out and GOD’s appointed generation executes accordingly as He purposes. We too are to do what we have been told: to share GOD’s words to the wandering and lost. What we all must do to please GOD: our Loving LORD: • watch and pray. • work with patience. • witness GOD’s promise unfolding. We are blessed to be named after our Savior as His elects, so we should extend it to others. For this is the blissfulness we have in CHRIST, if we pleased GOD that called us into His service. May each of GOD’s called and chosen people continue to trust GOD and be CHRIST’s carrier of His words as seed sow to others, that them who are still wandering will come to Him in faith and reverence. To Him be glory and honor and praises; and His Name be magnified in our every day’s life every day and ever. Amen!
