But Now My Eyes Seeth Thee

August 24, 2017-Thursday-#457 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Job 42 KJV

***I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.***

[1] Then Job answered the Lord , and said,

[2] I know that thou canst do every thing , and that no thought can be withholden from thee.

[3] Who is he that hideth counsel without knowledge? therefore have I uttered that I understood not; things too wonderful for me, which I knew not.

[4] Hear, I beseech thee, and I will speak: I will demand of thee, and declare thou unto me.

[5] I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee.

[6] Wherefore I abhor myself , and repent in dust and ashes.

[7] And it was so , that after the Lord had spoken these words unto Job, the Lord said to Eliphaz the Temanite, My wrath is kindled against thee, and against thy two friends: for ye have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job hath .

[10] And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before.

Words to ponder for today:

But Now My Eyes Seeth Thee

Job deep understanding about GOD through hearing about His words might be since his early age from his parents, mentors and might be from his attentively listening from public preachings of the priests in their times. In Moses time was named Jetro; Moses' Father in Law, who is also called Reuel, which means: "the friend of GOD"; who is the priest of Midian, a man of GOD not from the seeds of Israel, yet feared and serve The True GOD; from his likeness, Job might have  gotten an in-depth understanding about GOD.

Job have known and believe GOD through listening, and have declared hearing Him through his encounter with GOD while He spake with him from the whirlwind; when he had been to the lowest point of life. Resenting and complaining to The GOD whom he serve all his life, about the grievous trials and testings of life that knocked him down; deserted him in an extremely painful, shameful and disgraced, which caused him to be falsely accused by seemingly, his close friends and confidants.
As he have heard GOD's voice and saw His presence in glory within the whirlwind, he had abased and abhorred himself; humbly confessing his sin and his foolishness, acknowledging the Omnipotence of GOD the Almighty, Whom is beyond question All Powerful and Awesome GOD, asking from HIM forgiveness and entrusting to HIM his beings.
Then GOD's mercy and grace poured out upon him; multiplying his holdings and giving him  the best sons and the three world's prettiest daughter ever born in the face of the earth whose names were written in the book.
I believe that this book of Job was written to give us an insight of GOD's responsiveness, restoration and redemptive grace.
That if we live a righteous life in His sight, by hearing and seeing His way of salvation through JESUS CHRIST His Only Son,  and yet along the way, if something grievous losses happens, but and still, we choose to cleave and pour out all our trust in Him, remain faithful and believing  in His divine providence, GOD, the same way as He had responded, restored, and redeemed Job, shall also do the same to us ward; whom HE accepted us as His beloved children.

This verse from the epistle of Apostle Paul in Romans, is one of my stronghold and assurance, which lifted me and gave me hope during my darkest days.
I wanted also to share with you, readers of my daily Bible reading and meditational writings,  that it may also be your hope to strengthen your faith in GOD:
Romans 8:31-32 KJV
[31] What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
[32] He that spared not His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things?
I hope and pray that you shall also hear and see GOD as I have heard and continue hearing and  seeing Him through His written words and through the wondrous works of His Mighty Hands each and every day in my life.

Read GOD's words from The King James Bible, meditate and pray for understanding.
Be blessed today!

Job 42:1-17 KJV

[1] Then Job answered the Lord , and said, [2] I know that thou canst do every thing , and that no thought can be withholden from thee. [8] Therefore take unto you now seven bullocks and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you: for him will I accept: lest I deal with you after your folly, in that ye have not spoken of me the thing which is right, like my servant Job. [9] So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did according as the Lord commanded them: the Lord also accepted Job. [10] And the Lord turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends: also the Lord gave Job twice as much as he had before. [11] Then came there unto him all his brethren, and all his sisters, and all they that had been of his acquaintance before, and did eat bread with him in his house: and they bemoaned him, and comforted him over all the evil that the Lord had brought upon him: every man also gave him a piece of money, and every one an earring of gold. [12] So the Lord blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. [13] He had also seven sons and three daughters. [14] And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Keren-happuch. [15] And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren. [16] After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, even four generations. [17] So Job died, being old and full of days.
