September 18, 2017 - Monday-#482 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation - Psalm 25 KJV
***All the paths of the LORD are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.***
[2] O my God, I trust in thee: let me not be ashamed, let not mine enemies triumph over me.
[3] Yea, let none that wait on thee be ashamed: let them be ashamed which transgress without cause.
[4] Shew me thy ways, O Lord ; teach me thy paths.
[5] Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God of my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day.
[6] Remember, O Lord , thy tender mercies and thy lovingkindnesses; for they have been ever of old.
[7] Remember not the sins of my youth, nor my transgressions: according to thy mercy remember thou me for thy goodness' sake, O Lord .
[8] Good and upright is the Lord : therefore will he teach sinners in the way.
[9] The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
[10] All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep his covenant and his testimonies.
[18] Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins.
[21] Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee.
Words to ponder for today:
The Paths of The LORD..
In every walks of life, there are many paths one has to walk through. The offered ways good and evil have, obviously make their ways contrary in appearance. The good ways sometimes seems to be so narrow and sometimes rough, which most people refuse to walk along. While the bad ways, made theirs to be so enticingly beautiful and attracting.
But The Psalmist here expresses how pleasant it is to walk in the good ways His LORD has prepared for him. Though the ways seems narrow, rough and stiff to walk on, yet there is the accompaniment of mercy and truth from GOD, the Good LORD always gives to them who choose to walk in His ways.
There is always hope, mercy and charity in the ways of The LORD. Those who choose to walk therein are them who truly worship GOD; who choose the narrow, rough and stiff paths than the others. They are the true worshippers who worship GOD in Spirit and in Truth; who keep His covenant and His testimonies. There are many hindrances to worship GOD. The so many cares, fears, testings, temptations and worries of this life sometimes snatch the very senses and thoughts away; dragging them in the realm of overwhelming deceitfulness. Far, far away from being sober and sincere in the very way of worship GOD commanded for each of His human creation .
In worshipping God, we must lift up our souls to him. It is certain that none who, by a believing attendance, wait on God, and, by a believing hope, wait for him, shall be ashamed of it. The most advanced believer both needs and desires to be taught of God. If we sincerely desire to know our duty, with resolution to do it, we may be sure that God will direct us in it. The psalmist is earnest for the pardon of his sins. When God pardons sin, he is said to remember it no more, which denotes full remission. It is God's goodness, and not ours, his mercy, and not our merit, that must be our plea for the pardon of sin, and all the good we need. This plea we must rely upon, feeling our own unworthiness, and satisfied of the riches of God's mercy and grace. How boundless is that mercy which covers for ever the sins and follies of a youth spent without God and without hope! Blessed be the Lord, the blood of the great Sacrifice can wash away every stain.
It was written:
Hebrews 9:22-23,27-28 KJV
[22] And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
[23] It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
[28] So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.
Walk in the Paths of The LORD where hope, mercy, grace and forgiveness accompany us through life everlasting.
Have a blessed morning!
Psalm 25:1-22 KJV
[1] Unto thee, O Lord , do I lift up my soul. [11] For thy name's sake, O Lord , pardon mine iniquity; for it is great. [12] What man is he that feareth the Lord ? him shall he teach in the way that he shall choose. [13] His soul shall dwell at ease; and his seed shall inherit the earth. [14] The secret of the Lord is with them that fear him; and he will shew them his covenant. [15] Mine eyes are ever toward the Lord ; for he shall pluck my feet out of the net. [16] Turn thee unto me, and have mercy upon me; for I am desolate and afflicted. [17] The troubles of my heart are enlarged: O bring thou me out of my distresses. [18] Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins. [19] Consider mine enemies; for they are many; and they hate me with cruel hatred. [20] O keep my soul, and deliver me: let me not be ashamed; for I put my trust in thee. [21] Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on thee. [22] Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.
