Who Shall Ascend Into The Hill of The LORD?

September 17, 2017- Sunday-#481 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 24 KJV

***Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD ? or who shall stand in His holy place?
***

[1] The earth is the Lord's , and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

[2] For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.

[3] Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord ? or who shall stand in his holy place?

[4] He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.

[5] He shall receive the blessing from the Lord , and righteousness from the God of his salvation.

[6] This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.

[9] Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in.

[10] Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.

Question to ponder for today:

Who shall ascend into the hill of The LORD?

A question most beings could not fully grasp nor understand, until the intellect has been affected and come to know the saving knowledge.
Whether it be to ascend in heavenly place through death or to totally come into full submission to GOD's plan of salvation, is yet to be known.
But for them who have known, professed and experienced coming to that saving grace, the process was fully understood.
Who then shall ascend into the hill of The LORD? Or who shall stand in His holy place?

The answer is given here:
  *He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart;
(Persons who do not use their hands to do evil; such as murders, stealing, adultery even idolatry; yes! Idolatry; for one worship idols using their hands in carrying and lifting up their idols)
*who had not lifted up his soul into vanity, nor sworn deceitfully.
(Persons who do not fill their imagination with vanities, speaking and acting prideful deeds, and devising evil works against others; teaching and testifying lies and speaking flattering words.) v.4
They are them who shall receive the blessings from The LORD and righteousness from The GOD of their salvation.

One can say, if that is the way to heaven, then it is through good works and self righteousness that a man shall ascend into the hill of The LORD!

Definitely no. For no one really is pure in heart mind and soul. No person is able to maintain self righteousness and goodness.
The bible is clear.
Romans 3:10,23 KJV
[10] As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
[23] For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

But thank be GOD, for HE had made and given us a way for us to be able to ascend into His Holy Hill.

Romans 5:8,18-19 KJV
[8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[18] Therefore as by the offence of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. [19] For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Pastor John Gill, a Baptist Pastor and Commentator stated below as saying:

"Who shall ascend into the hill of the Lord?.... Though the Lord has a claim in general to the whole world, and all its fulness; yet there is a particular part of it, or spot in it, which is his special and peculiar property, and that is his church and people; for though some reference may be had, in this passage, to Mount Moriah, and the hill of Zion, on which the temple was afterwards built, and is called the hill of the Lord, where he desires dwell; yet the church is mystically intended, and is so called on account of its visibility, through a profession of faith in Christ, and for its immovableness, being built on him;"++++++++++++++++++++++

Then one can connect that, if a person got saved by accepting, believing and calling upon The Name of The LORD JESUS CHRIST, he or she will be saved, counted righteous and his or her desire is changed from worldly pleasures, to learn, live and love growing in the knowledge of GOD through listening to His words, then and by then, his or her soul is saved and shall be with The LORD even for eternity.  "Psalm 23:6  Surely, goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of The LORD forever."

Lift up then your heads and hands.. to worship The King of Glory as the gates is fully open where The Creator or all, LORD of hosts is waiting for everyone to come and worship HIM.

Have a blessed Sunday today!

Psalm 24:1-10 KJV

Selah. [7] Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. [8] Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. [9] Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. [10] Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
