October 12, 2017- Thursday-#506 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 49 KJV
***But GOD will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me.***
[1] Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world:
[2] Both low and high, rich and poor, together.
[3] My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
[4] I will incline mine ear to a parable: I will open my dark saying upon the harp.
[5] Wherefore should I fear in the days of evil, when the iniquity of my heels shall compass me about?
[6] They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches;
[7] None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him:
[8] (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:)
[9] That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption.
[10] For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others.
[15] But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
Words to ponder for today:
But GOD will Redeem My Soul
( From the power of the grave)
The Psalmist begins his song as captivating all of the hearers' attention .
Not pleading but prompting each of this world's inhabitant to give ear to what he is saying.
It is all about death.
Yes! DEATH!
Death is eminent. All beings, who are born in this earth are to die; young and old, rich and poor. We all shall return to dust.
That is the physical death.
However, this written word of GOD, this bible is the book of life wherein is written life after death.
This is the fact of life. This is not hearsay or just an illusion. There is a LIFE after DEATH!
Hebrews 9:27 KJV
[27] And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
There is a judgement after death. Therefore, there is life.
Hear ye, hear all! Attend to reading this book of life that ye may know your soul have eternal life. Physical death is not the end of life; it is just the beginning of eternity.
But the choice where we should spend our eternity lies within our choices.
The Psalmist here sounds so sure:
[15] But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.
The LORD JESUS CHRIST was the Firstborn again. He come back to life after he died, was buried; Many of His disciples and His eleven apostles witness His resurrection; prompting and empowering some of them to have written unto us the truth about this life as the major subject of The New Testament.
This has been done as GOD has spoken after the fall of man. When sin entered into this world, so as death to all human who have sinned. The power of death requires all souls who departed from believing the truth about GOD. Yet GOD's power conquered death through the resurrection of The LORD JESUS CHRIST.
Henceforth, the power of grave is the enmity of the power of GOD.
Souls then, have two destinations:
Revelation 20:12-15 KJV
[12] And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.
[13] And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works.
[14] And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
[15] And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
Revelation 21:8 KJV
[8] But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.
Surely, if there is life, there is death, much more is the reality that there is a second death.
How sure you are that your soul shall be redeem from the power of grave to be with GOD?
How well do you know about your life in this earth?
The assurance is this:
1 John 5:11-15 KJV
[11] And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son.
[12] He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.
[13] These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
[14] And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:
[15] And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.
Hear ye, hear all!
John 3:16-18 KJV
[16] For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
[17] For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
[18] He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
Talk to GOD.
Take the Name of JESUS CHRIST to be your personal LORD and Savior.
Testify about Him and continue in the teachings of The HOLY SPIRIT through hearing the preaching of the gospel.
Tarry for GOD, in the Name of His Begotten Son; The LORD JESUS CHRIST unto life eternal.
Good morning!
Psalm 49:1-20 KJV
[1] Hear this, all ye people; give ear, all ye inhabitants of the world: [2] Both low and high, rich and poor, together. [6] They that trust in their wealth, and boast themselves in the multitude of their riches; [7] None of them can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him: [8] (For the redemption of their soul is precious, and it ceaseth for ever:) [9] That he should still live for ever, and not see corruption. [10] For he seeth that wise men die, likewise the fool and the brutish person perish, and leave their wealth to others. [11] Their inward thought is, that their houses shall continue for ever, and their dwelling places to all generations; they call their lands after their own names. [12] Nevertheless man being in honour abideth not: he is like the beasts that perish. [13] This their way is their folly: yet their posterity approve their sayings. Selah. [14] Like sheep they are laid in the grave; death shall feed on them; and the upright shall have dominion over them in the morning; and their beauty shall consume in the grave from their dwelling. [15] But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah. [16] Be not thou afraid when one is made rich, when the glory of his house is increased; [17] For when he dieth he shall carry nothing away: his glory shall not descend after him. [18] Though while he lived he blessed his soul: and men will praise thee, when thou doest well to thyself. [19] He shall go to the generation of his fathers; they shall never see light. [20] Man that is in honour, and understandeth not, is like the beasts that perish.
