October 14, 2017-#508 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 51 KJV
***Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.***
[1] Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
[2] Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
[3] For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me.
[4] Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest.
[5] Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
[10] Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
[11] Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
[12] Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me with thy free spirit.
[13] Then will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
Thoughts to ponder for today:
Create In Me A Clean Heart, O GOD:
(And renew a right spirit within me)
A Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came unto him, after he had gone in to Bathsheba.
Desires is the most alluring, enticing and irresistible feeling captive by Satan to get through the tender heart of a sinful man.
When he had spotted Bathseba nakedly bathing in the deep of the night, and set his eyes upon her, then that burning desires consumed his heart to take her in for himself, not considering she is married to one of his valiant man Uriah.
Then after the consummation of that sinful lust, troubles arises that leads to another sinful deeds unto the murderous plot, for to hid the sin he had done against his GOD and his people.
Yet GOD does not close His eyes, that He saw all of David's evil deeds. He sent His prophet Nathan to sharply rebuke him; that the sin he had committed is worthy of death; and for that, he has to die.
This is what the book of James is speaking:
James 1:14-15 KJV
[14] But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
[15] Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.
This psalm is written in the holy bible for us to see, just like King David, all are subject to sinning.
We are a sinner indeed, and are all under the power of sin. We all commit sin; from simple lying, unto violent killings.
But herein is written a repentant pleading unto GOD of a sinner who suffers restlessness and multitude of sorrow inflicted by his sinful deeds.
He acknowledge the importance of forgiveness from GOD and His power to change his heart from uncleanness to purification which ONLY GOD is able to give. He knows within his heart and his whole being that he cannot escape the punishment of sin unless he repented and obtained the forgiveness of sin.
All, even all believers are prone to sinning. And this is because of the inherited sinful nature from our forefather Adam.
And all sins are deadly.
Apostle Paul has written:
Romans 6:23 KJV
[23] For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
But forgiveness is given only to all repentant sinners.
Ephesians 4:31-32 KJV
[31] Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
[32] And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.
Recognizing sin is sorrow to repentant. And if there is humility to recognize sin, there will surely be the forgiveness of GOD.
Let this be our prayer when sin overruled.
[1] Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
[10] Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Be at peace as we obtain the forgiveness of GOD who is worthy of all praises!
Have a blessed morning to all!
Psalm 51:1-19 KJV
[1] Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions. [2] Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin. [3] For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. [4] Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done this evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, and be clear when thou judgest. [5] Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me. [6] Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden part thou shalt make me to know wisdom. [7] Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. [8] Make me to hear joy and gladness; that the bones which thou hast broken may rejoice. [9] Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities. [14] Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: and my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness. [15] O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise. [16] For thou desirest not sacrifice; else would I give it : thou delightest not in burnt offering. [17] The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise. [18] Do good in thy good pleasure unto Zion: build thou the walls of Jerusalem. [19] Then shalt thou be pleased with the sacrifices of righteousness, with burnt offering and whole burnt offering: then shall they offer bullocks upon thine altar.
