October 24, 2017-Tuesday- #516 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation Psalm 59 KJV
***Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.***
[1] Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me.
[2] Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men.
[3] For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord .
[4] They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold.
[5] Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah.
[8] But thou, O Lord , shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision.
[9] Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence.
[16] But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble.
[17] Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
Words to ponder for today:
For GOD Is My Defense
( To The Chief Musician, A Psalm of David, when King Saul sent, and they watched the house to kill him.)
The Psalmist state he is attacked by his enemy. Not because he had done something wrong, or he had provoked them to kill him; but for no reason, saved jealousy over GOD's favorable, provisional wisdom did his enemy wanted his life, as a wild dogs for their tasty meat.
However, in his seemingly helpless situation, and even when he is hiding himself alone and deserted, he has within himself the peace and comfort; knowing that his GOD, The GOD of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, The GOD who empowered Moses to lead the people of Israel out of bondage, is The GOD of his strength and his Defense.
Even in the terror of death from the fangs of his enemies, David is confident and able to sing. Because The GOD, in whom he put his trust upon is his Deliverer and his Defense.
The GOD in Whom David put his trust upon, is the GOD of The Bible; The GOD of True Christian saved people. All who have accepted JESUS CHRIST as their personal LORD and Savior should widely know, and have that confidence David in himself have.
But He will only be known if a saved person shall diligently seek Him through reading and hearing by His words.
This is the purpose of the written Words of GOD. To open the intellect, to nurture the emotion, to change the will and the disposition of a person willing to know more about who This GOD is.
Apostle Paul has written:
Romans 10:8-17 KJV
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
[12] For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
[13] For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
[14] How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
[15] And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
[16] But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
[17] So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
The LORD JESUS CHRIST is The Human Manifestation of The GODhead. He has come to proved to all people that The TRUE and Living GOD is able. If He have defended and delivered David from his enemy, couldn't He be able to do the same to us who accepted, believe and call upon The Name of our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST?
Be encourage if you are a believer of Christ like me. For GOD is our defense.
As for me; I can testify now and ever. For GOD have been my defense and my Deliverer in all of the hardship and issues of my past. And I know and fully trust, if He had perform all things for me, He shall be able to deliver me in whatever issues of this life in the future may come along. In every life's challenge and difficulties that may arise, I should not be confounded; for GOD is my Defense.
Good morning!
Psalm 59:1-17 KJV
[1] Deliver me from mine enemies, O my God: defend me from them that rise up against me. [2] Deliver me from the workers of iniquity, and save me from bloody men. [3] For, lo, they lie in wait for my soul: the mighty are gathered against me; not for my transgression, nor for my sin, O Lord . [4] They run and prepare themselves without my fault: awake to help me, and behold. [5] Thou therefore, O Lord God of hosts, the God of Israel, awake to visit all the heathen: be not merciful to any wicked transgressors. Selah. [6] They return at evening: they make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. [7] Behold, they belch out with their mouth: swords are in their lips: for who, say they , doth hear? [8] But thou, O Lord , shalt laugh at them; thou shalt have all the heathen in derision. [9] Because of his strength will I wait upon thee: for God is my defence. [10] The God of my mercy shall prevent me: God shall let me see my desire upon mine enemies. [11] Slay them not, lest my people forget: scatter them by thy power; and bring them down, O Lord our shield. [12] For the sin of their mouth and the words of their lips let them even be taken in their pride: and for cursing and lying which they speak. [13] Consume them in wrath, consume them , that they may not be : and let them know that God ruleth in Jacob unto the ends of the earth. Selah. [14] And at evening let them return; and let them make a noise like a dog, and go round about the city. [15] Let them wander up and down for meat, and grudge if they be not satisfied. [16] But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. [17] Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy.
