December 21, 2017-Thursday-572 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 115 KJV
***But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.***
[1] Not unto us, O Lord , not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake.
[2] Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God?
[3] But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased.
[4] Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands.
[5] They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not:
[6] They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not:
[7] They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat.
[8] They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them.
[17] The dead praise not the Lord , neither any that go down into silence.
[18] But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord .
Words to ponder for today:
But our GOD Is In Heaven
The Psalmist's self- rejection for glory, but instead give all the praises and honor unto GOD, is a reflection of a regenerated, resilient and resolved spirit; that, after they have recognized their need of GOD, they are able to proclaim GOD's marvelous working hand, which delivered them from the oppressions of their opponents.
They then have admitted that, it is not about what they can do, nor it is all about their understanding, but their total dependency upon GOD's Mighty power. It is Only GOD and GOD alone; It is ONLY The LORD's salvation is all what they need to be victorious in life.
And because they are resolved within this truth, they stood up to refute, to reject and to resounds GOD's hatred about idolatry.
For what is idols compare to the True, Powerful GOD who have commanded them to hate idols?
Exodus 20:3-5 KJV
[3] Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
[4] Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
[5] Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
GOD is a powerful GOD; He will not contradict His commandments, nor He did not need idols made by the hands of men, to enter into them, to show forth His power. If He desire some great things to happen, it is through the lives of them whose trust is firmly settled Only upon HIM.
They are them who who accepted HIM as their personal LORD and Savior, who believe Only in His Only Begotten SON JESUS CHRIST, Whom He sent to prove to mankind the truth about HIM and His words. They are the true believers whom GOD owned them as His children: the living saints, with flesh and blood; who breath, who speaks, who sees, hears listen and learn to love GOD more than themselves, living according to GOD's precepts; that others who do not believe yet, may also come to that saving knowledge about GOD.
John 1:12 KJV
[12] But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
This is the truth about GOD. And holding firmly in the truth about Him, and to rely upon HIS words, is the Only way GOD's hand move for our favor.
Yes! We true believers of GOD refute all forms of idols. We do not worship manmade idols. For our GOD who is in Heaven indwells within us. This makes us different.
All praises and honor belongs only unto Him. We do not bear within our bodies amulets of any kind, for it is not of GOD, but of the devil. We do not call other religious leaders father, because we only have GOD as our Heavenly Father. Our power is from the word of truth; from the King James authorized translation of the bible, which was written the words which was spoken by The LORD.
This is what The LORD JESUS CHRIST have spoken:
John 15:3-7 KJV
[3] Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
[4] Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
[5] I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
[6] If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.
[7] If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Our GOD is The GOD of Truth, He is The Father of JESUS CHRIST our Savior and LORD.
We worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.
I pray that you will worship Him also, all of you, who read this post.
Have a pleasant day today?
Psalm 115:1-18 KJV
[1] Not unto us, O Lord , not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy, and for thy truth's sake. [2] Wherefore should the heathen say, Where is now their God? [3] But our God is in the heavens: he hath done whatsoever he hath pleased. [4] Their idols are silver and gold, the work of men's hands. [5] They have mouths, but they speak not: eyes have they, but they see not: [6] They have ears, but they hear not: noses have they, but they smell not: [7] They have hands, but they handle not: feet have they, but they walk not: neither speak they through their throat. [8] They that make them are like unto them; so is every one that trusteth in them. [9] O Israel, trust thou in the Lord : he is their help and their shield. [10] O house of Aaron, trust in the Lord : he is their help and their shield. [11] Ye that fear the Lord , trust in the Lord : he is their help and their shield. [12] The Lord hath been mindful of us: he will bless us ; he will bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron. [13] He will bless them that fear the Lord , both small and great. [14] The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children. [15] Ye are blessed of the Lord which made heaven and earth. [16] The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord's : but the earth hath he given to the children of men. [17] The dead praise not the Lord , neither any that go down into silence. [18] But we will bless the Lord from this time forth and for evermore. Praise the Lord .
