December 26, 2017- Tuesday- #576-B- Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation-Psalm 119:26-50 KJV
***I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me .***
[26] I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes.
[27] Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works.
[28] My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word.
[29] Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously.
[30] I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me .
[33] Teach me, O Lord , the way of thy statutes; and I shall keep it unto the end.
[34] Give me understanding, and I shall keep thy law; yea, I shall observe it with my whole heart.
[35] Make me to go in the path of thy commandments; for therein do I delight.
[36] Incline my heart unto thy testimonies, and not to covetousness.
[37] Turn away mine eyes from beholding vanity; and quicken thou me in thy way.
Words to ponder for today:
The Way of Truth
According to this portion, the sweet communion with The LORD started first at a personal declaration, or rather we say, confession of all the ways we have gone through. Without the cofession, even the outpouring of the contents of our hearts, mind and soul unto GOD, there will never be a Divine intervention.
For it is considered an act of faith to come to GOD in prayers, conceding and cofessing to GOD everything; even sinful petty things that entangled our spirit into anxieties which became a burdensome to us.
It is what Apostle Paul has written in Romans 10:8-11 KJV
[8] But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
[9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[11] For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
It takes one humble and repentant spirit to believe what the Bible said; taking it as the very word of GOD, as if He is the One personally speaking.
From this, comes the desires of one’s heart to seek the truth; intentionally and attentively wanting to listen from the preaching of the sound doctrine; the earnestly seek, hear and listen for the truth, regardless of the customary, conventional and contemporaneous beliefs.
It takes one subdued spirit to desire to know the way of truth. One whose thoughts, words and actions does not conform, relied or restricted by the norms and the systems of this world.
It should be the course and concern of a true renewed spirit: to chose the way of truth; to choose to obey GOD’s Commandments and His words, rather than the rudiments of this world.
This is a total transformation which turn the heart of a sinful soul to reject lies and vanities, from where even some professing beleivers have failed to attain.
This is the very reason why Apostle Paul has written:
Romans 12:1-2 KJV
[1] I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
[2] And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Let all believers desires to understand the precepts of GOD and wholly attain to GOD’s promptings, and be fully renewed by the power of The Holy Spirit. So that each one will have the boldness to talk about GOD’s wondrous deeds.
Have a blessed day ahead!
Psalm 119:26-50 KJV
[26] I have declared my ways, and thou heardest me: teach me thy statutes. [27] Make me to understand the way of thy precepts: so shall I talk of thy wondrous works. [28] My soul melteth for heaviness: strengthen thou me according unto thy word. [29] Remove from me the way of lying: and grant me thy law graciously. [30] I have chosen the way of truth: thy judgments have I laid before me . [31] I have stuck unto thy testimonies: O Lord , put me not to shame. [32] I will run the way of thy commandments, when thou shalt enlarge my heart. [38] Stablish thy word unto thy servant, who is devoted to thy fear. [39] Turn away my reproach which I fear: for thy judgments are good. [40] Behold, I have longed after thy precepts: quicken me in thy righteousness. [41] Let thy mercies come also unto me, O Lord , even thy salvation, according to thy word. [42] So shall I have wherewith to answer him that reproacheth me: for I trust in thy word. [43] And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy judgments. [44] So shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever. [45] And I will walk at liberty: for I seek thy precepts. [46] I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. [47] And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved. [48] My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. [49] Remember the word unto thy servant, upon which thou hast caused me to hope. [50] This is my comfort in my affliction: for thy word hath quickened me.
