If Thou LORD, Should Mark The Iniquities, Who Shall Stand?

January 12, 2018-Friday-#587 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation - Psalm 130 KJV

***If thou, LORD , shouldest mark iniquities, O LORD, who shall stand?***

[1] Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord .

[2] Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications.

[3] If thou, Lord , shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

[4] But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

[5] I wait for the Lord , my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope.

[6] My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning.

Words to ponder for today:

If Thou LORD, Should Mark The Iniquities, Who Shall Stand?

One can discern that, I t is during the time of the Psalmist deepest nothingness that this psalm was written.
Where hopelessness and desperation is overwhelming and help to be freed from such a terrible situation, is unseen; that the only known hope left for him is to cry and wait upon the unfailing, redeeming grace of The LORD.
This has been through ages that the chosen people of GOD, have been through. From enslavement of Egypt, did GOD saved them with great power, miracles and wonders. And it was witnessed by all; as they heard GOD speaking, and the words of GOD  were recorded in the sharp memory of GOD’s called out and appointed leaders, Moses who have written, and to whom the law of The LORD was given. Commanding everyone to teach diligently their children the fear of The LORD; to earnestly take heed and wholeheartedly observing the commandments and testimonies of Their Mighty Loving GOD.
Deuteronomy 6:4-9 KJV
[4] Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord :
[5] And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
[6] And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
[7] And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.
[8] And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes.
[9] And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.

This is the commandments of Moses to the children of Israel; that they may obtain grace, goodness and greatness from their GOD.
However, because of man’s sinful nature, fragility, stubbornness, laxity and forgetfulness, and as they were compared to sheeps, they repeatedly did erred, and failed to live their lives in accordance with the precepts and oracles of GOD. They have fallen away far from keeping themselves pure and faithful in the sight of their GOD. And from generation to generation, repentance and sin offering repeatedly burnt, until everyone, even the priests who did the sacrificing, have contaminated themselves; became callous and took the advantage of being in the power; derelict, negligent and self righteous they have been, that makes GOD’s wrath pour out upon them. Henceforth GOD forsook them to be invaded and became slaves of the heathen. And from that hopeless situation, they remember their GOD; persistently call Him in prayer for mercy and salvation, patiently waiting for His deliverance.

An example set by GOD in written words for all believers to know.
For we are all in need of GOD’s help and deliverance from our day to day struggling from sin, from sorrows, from our shortcomings, from our sauntering.
None can say, “I am righteous, and therefore I have no need of GOD”. For if GOD should mark all iniquities of each and every person in this earth, none really could stand in His sight, but Only The second Man from GOD, Whom is His Only Begotten SON JESUS CHRIST; The Mediator between GOD and mankind, that through HIM is the only Way we all can be reconciled to GOD.
1 Timothy 2:5-6 KJV
[5] For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;
[6] Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.

Let us all search out heart and prayerfully utter the same words:
“[3] If thou, Lord , shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?”.
That we may pray for others before our very needs; as what The LORD JESUS CHRIST set an example for us for what He did on the cross; giving himself that we might get saved.
For The LORD who is plenteous in mercy sees, hears listen and weight every words we have spoken.
Let GOD hears  our humble and wholehearted prayers, not only for ourselves but for others as well.
Galatians 6:1-2,9-10 KJV
[1] Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.
[2] Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.
[9] And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
[10] As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men , especially unto them who are of the household of faith.

Have a pleasant Friday to all!

Psalm 130:1-8 KJV

[1] Out of the depths have I cried unto thee, O Lord . [2] Lord, hear my voice: let thine ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications. [3] If thou, Lord , shouldest mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand? [4] But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared. [5] I wait for the Lord , my soul doth wait, and in his word do I hope. [6] My soul waiteth for the Lord more than they that watch for the morning: I say, more than they that watch for the morning. [7] Let Israel hope in the Lord : for with the Lord there is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption. [8] And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.
