Our Help Is In The Name Of The LORD

***Our help is in the name of the Lord , who made heaven and earth.***

[2] If it had not been the Lord who was on our side, when men rose up against us: 

[3] Then they had swallowed us up quick, when their wrath was kindled against us: 

[5] Then the proud waters had gone over our soul. 

[6] Blessed be the Lord , who hath not given us as a prey to their teeth. 

[7] Our soul is escaped as a bird out of the snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken, and we are escaped.

[8] Our help is in the name of the Lord , who made heaven and earth.

Our Help Is In The Name Of The LORD

This Psalm ascertained that if it had not been The LORD who was on their side, then the enemy swallowed them quickly as an overwhelming flood raged all them that are on its ways.

Then the Psalmist asserted to give praises and blessed The Name of The LORD who have been with them in their fleeting courses from their most antagonistic adversaries. 

Finally, the affirmative announcement that their help is in the name of The LORD who made heaven and earth. 

This compelling song of the Psalmist, as they have called this a Song Of Degrees, was attributed to King David by some scholars. Although the author is unknown, yet the way it was written, complimented the affectionate character of the tough, yet tender hearted King, whose heart was fully and firmly resolved to trust His LORD; The GOD whom He knew made the heavens , the earth and everything therein. 

 Because of the testimonies and experiences of multiple victories and miraculous deliverance from the authors’  adversaries, they were able to write these book of psalms, which is available for us to read.

Howbeit, this book will never be powerful if we will only read; for it is through faith in GOD  to  believe that He is able to perform the same way He had been to His chosen people. 

Many of them who have gone before us, attested that, in faithful believing in the words of GOD, is infinite power. His boundless love and bountiful grace enable the prayers of faith to avail much. It is through a personal relationship to GOD’s Only Begotten Son JESUS CHRIST that the simple people became soundly secured, who are able to testify: Our help is in the name of The LORD. 

As it is written in James 5:14-16 KJV

[14] Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 

[15] And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 

[16] Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Help from family members, close friends and acquaintances are limited,  but it is different, if our help is in the name of The LORD who made heaven and earth. 

 Call upon The Name Of The LORD JESUS CHRIST and be saved!
