Whom My Soul Loveth

March 22, 2018- Friday-#653 Daily Morning Bible Reading and Meditation- Song of Songs 3 KJV

***The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said , Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? ***

[1] By night on my bed I sought him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not. 

[2] I will rise now, and go about the city in the streets, and in the broad ways I will seek him whom my soul loveth: I sought him, but I found him not.

 [3] The watchmen that go about the city found me: to whom I said , Saw ye him whom my soul loveth? 

[4] It was but a little that I passed from them, but I found him whom my soul loveth: I held him, and would not let him go, until I had brought him into my mother's house, and into the chamber of her that conceived me. 

[6] Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant?

Whom My Soul Loveth

It was a love so pure. It was a love that is so sure. This is how the subject lovers in this book of Songs has been illustrated in the first two chapter. 

However, in this third chapter, it appears that the beloved man departed and nowhere to find by the bride. She sought him and she found him not. Giving her sorrowful night being alone and deserted; she decided to look for Whom her soul loveth in the city. And in the watchmen she asked about whom her soul loveth. A little later, she found him and would not let him go. She did her best to bring him into her mother’s chamber; begging for the women of Jerusalem not to stir him up, awaking him from sleeping, until he please. 

This resembles the love of a true believer who at first have experience the love of Christ, after accepting, believing and calling upon The Name Of The LORD.  However in the process, have lost the flaming fire of the first love to The LORD, for some reasons, a believer might have been overwhelmed and taken by the course and concerns of the world, the lust of the eyes, he lust of the flesh, and the pride of life, that that soul didn’t notice he or she is way too far from walking closer with The LORD. 

The LORD have not made us like a robot, but have given us free will to choose. He will just be silent and would allow His children to go their chosen ways. Allowing them all along until they suffer from the consequences of their wrong choices. And when in time of so much agony and pain, the soul of the backsliding believer will  remember her first love to The LORD. 

Even the natural man who had not yet believe and receive JESUS CHRIST as his personal LORD and Savior, unawarely, there is a void in the heart and in the mind that could not be filled by whatsoever things a man could ever have in this world. Whether it be possession, power or progress, it will not satisfy the longing soul from The One who have given him life. 

It is only through the Realization of one’s depravity, Rejection of one’s capability for self justification, Repentance from sinning and iniquities, and Receiving wholeheartedly from GOD the gift of salvation  through death burial and resurrection of The LORD JESUS CHRIST, whom all souls loveth. 

Most assuredly, it is Only JESUS CHRIST, The Only Begotten SON of GOD, who is able to satisfy our soul. Without acceptance of His  gift of life , even His gospel, there will always be void and emptiness in the heart of every human, even them who denied Him as The Only Savior and Redeemer. Nevertheless, to them who will rise up , and take heed to listen to his souls desire, there will always be the watchmen who will lead, and guide a lost souls to find whom his or her soul loveth. The LORD GOD had made every way available to mankind to find Him. He called preachers, pastors and teachers to lead, guide and teach the way of salvation. If they will wholeheartedly seek Him, they surely will find Him in every city, in every corner, even in the mountains, valleys and hills. 

For The LORD awaits them who seek Him. And for them who have find Him, have faith in Him, He promise to never leave them nor forsake them. 

This is what he had spoken in Revelation 3:19-20 KJV

[19] As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. 

[20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Take heed and hear The Words Of The LORD. Humbly pray the sinners prayer of repentance and forgiveness . The LORD is waiting for you to look for Him; The One Whom our souls loveth..

[5] I charge you, O ye daughters of Jerusalem, by the roes, and by the hinds of the field, that ye stir not up, nor awake my love, till he please. [6] Who is this that cometh out of the wilderness like pillars of smoke, perfumed with myrrh and frankincense, with all powders of the merchant? [7] Behold his bed, which is Solomon's; threescore valiant men are about it, of the valiant of Israel. [8] They all hold swords, being expert in war: every man hath his sword upon his thigh because of fear in the night. [9] King Solomon made himself a chariot of the wood of Lebanon. [10] He made the pillars thereof of silver, the bottom thereof of gold, the covering of it of purple, the midst thereof being paved with love, for the daughters of Jerusalem. [11] Go forth, O ye daughters of Zion, and behold king Solomon with the crown wherewith his mother crowned him in the day of his espousals, and in the day of the gladness of his heart.
