[1] These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended.

[2] They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service.

[3] And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me.

[7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

[13Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.

        Ye should not be offended.

When they cast you off because they think you’ve gone out of the way.

When they hurt you or plot to kill you, because they think you didn’t stay.

When they left you alone in the heat or the coldness of the day;

You should not be offended, for JESUS is with you, every step of your way.

Living in this world is full of miseries and woes.

And there are many times we’re wandering alone, we don’t know where to go.

But thanks be to our Comforter there is peace, after we believe and know,

The words of JESUS CHRIST, The One who loves us so!

We should not be offended, but Thank GOD for His love for us

That He gave His Only Son; died on the cross crucified, for the redemption of mankind.

That whosoever believe in Him will not go astray, cause sins are forgiven,

We are free from the punishment of hell; Praise GOD! we are no more condemn.

Commune with The LORD in prayer every start of your day.

Read His words the Bible and in His Name, you pray,

GOD in Heaven hear your voice, if youbelieve in what He said.

For JESUS CHRIST is our Mediator, the Defender of our faith.

JESUS indirectly but clearly taught about the Trinity: Three Person in One Godhead.

1. GOD The Father v.3,10, 15,16
2. JESUS- The Son of GOD -v.3,7,14,15,23-28,32
3. The Comforter – The SPIRIT of Truth – 7-14

He particularly introduced here the Third Person in the Godhead: “v. 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14 He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.”

JESUS mean what He say. He sent The Comforter: The Holy Ghost; The Spirit of Truth.

He has His own identity. Pronoun ‘he” was used to addressed Him. The Comforterand the Spirit of Truth” were written started in capital letter, to give emphasis of His persona. He is active in every believers life doing the following works:

• He, who convicts: He reproves
• He, who charge, for each one of JESUS’ believers to know what is right
• He, who makes us to remember what GOD the Father through His Son JESUS CHRIST command us to do.

His part in our spiritual growth:

1. The Comforter who is the Spirit of Truth is our guide.
2. The One who gives us warnings when we are about to cross the line.
3. He is also the one who prompts us to be in love with our Redeemer, to feel how He feels, to see things how He sees, and to bring to our ears the very word of GOD with all its pleasantries.

This chapter implies to us that The LORD’s apostles could not understand what He has been speaking to them; for during those time, although they are with JESUS, they have not been indwells yet by the HOLY SPIRIT.

From v15-25, what The LORD wanted for His disciples to understand from what He was teaching to them here, was that the Father who is in Him, will soon take away His Godhead in Himfor Him to become a perfect sacrifice on the cross where He is about to be crucified. JESUS knew that His disciples of course will be sorrowful and lament, because they will feel great discouragement and downheartednessthinking that they lost their Master and Great Teacher, while seeing Him that Hecould not do anything when His enemiesmocked Him, reviled Him, and finallycrucified Him.

But this is what JESUS mean when said it will be for a little while, because that sorrow will turn into great joy and confidence, after they will saw Him resurrected from the dead.

This is the blessedness for us because we have His words written for our understanding. However, we will never fully understand the message of the blessed hope we have, unless every one of us have already the indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT, whose workings in us is Mighty; giving us understanding about GOD’s amazing love for us through the earthly ministry, the crucifixion, the burial, the resurrection and the ascension of GOD’s beloved Only Son JESUS CHRIST. And this will then only be made after the profession of faith:

➢ accepting GOD’s gift of Salvation
➢ believing that it is JESUS CHRIST sacrifice on the cross the Only redemptive works to salvation.
➢ confessing from our mouth our faith in the death, burial and resurrection of JESUS CHRIST, and in prayer of faith in His Name.
➢ denying all other form of good works even our own understanding about who is the GOD we serve; and lastly,
➢ emptying ourselves from all the cares and concerns of this world, to be humbly filled with GOD’s presence; the indwelling of the HOLY SPIRIT.

This is the great mystery of salvation through the faith of our LORD and Savior JESUS CHRIST; who gave Himself for an offering for sin, that we might have life with joy and the hope of His glory. May His love continue to move us, that we will become an ambassador of His love to all who have not yet accepted the gift of salvation.

Then from verses 26-33, JESUS said this time to His apostles, that He is about to leave them and have to go back to the Father from where He came. That He will not anymore pray to the Father for them, for His earthly life and ministry will soon be over; but they have to ask through prayer in His Name, and they will be heard by the Father, and that whatever they ask in His Name according to His will, the Father will give them. And that the Father love them because they love and believed in Him. JESUS even told them that they will be scattered everyone on his own and leave Him alone, but He will not hold them accountable for that, because He knew and understood their frailties; and though they leave Him alone, He will never entirely be alone by Himself because the Father is with Him. He even encouraged them to be of good cheer, and have peace in their heart, for He already have overcome the world.

It is such a comfort to know that the Son of GOD who has forgiven us from our sins understand our frailties; that in every weakness we have, even our failures to do things right in His sight, He knows and understand. And that His spoken words issurreal and has its life, encouraging us to continue in His words. That in Him we have peace; and that the love of the Father is in us, if we choose to continue in His love. How amazing is our LORD and Loving Savior’s love toward us! That we do not need to be fearful nor sorrowful, not even overcome by guilt and shame of our past, for He redeemed us from the evil which still keep on trying to beset us. We have the blessed assurance that His love covers us, and The HOLY SPIRIT’s indwelling in us is sufficient enough to help us in our weaknesses and frailties, giving peace in our heart and mind. That if we desire to be near to Him, and that if we ask help in prayer to the Father in His Name, He will always be there to listen. This is what He meant when He said: He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Thank you JESUS our LORD and Savior for your amazing love!

Let GOD always be please, as we live a life of holiness, happiness, and with the hope that our Savior JESUS CHRIST is coming again to take us with Him unto life everlasting. THEREFORE, as we live our lives every day, may we always, with open hands be willing to help aiding in the furtherance of the Gospel.

May all of us be won, be willing and be a winner with the prompting of The SPIRIT of Truth sent by JESUS CHRIST our LORD!

Good morning!

John 16:1-33 KJV [1]These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. [2] They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. [3] And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor me. [4] But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you. [5] But now I go my way to him that sent me; and none of you asketh me, Whither goest thou? [6] But because I have said these things unto you, sorrow hath filled your heart. [7] Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you. [8] And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: [9] Of sin, because they believe not on me; [10] Of righteousness, because I go to my Father, and ye see me no more; [11] Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged. [12] I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. [13] Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew youthings to come. [14] He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you. [15] All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you. [16] A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father. [17] Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father? [18] They said therefore, Whatis this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith. [19] Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Doye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me? [20] Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. [21] A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. [22] And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you. [23] And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you. [24] Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. [25] These things have I spoken unto you in proverbs: but the time cometh, when I shall no more speak unto you in proverbs, but I shall shew you plainly of the Father. [26] At that day ye shall ask in my name: and I say not unto you, that I will pray the Father for you: [27] For the Father himself loveth you, because ye have loved me, and have believed that I came out from God. [28] I came forth from the Father, and am come into the world: again, I leave the world, and go to the Father. [29] His disciples said unto him, Lo, now speakest thou plainly, and speakest no proverb. [30] Now are we sure that thou knowest all things, and needest not that any man should ask thee: by this we believe that thou camest forth from God. [31] Jesus answered them, Do ye now believe? [32] Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me alone: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. [33] These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.
